Move on man! It's not our fault if Caicedo turned down your project in favour of ours. The team is in a rebuilding period, similar to what Liverpool and Arsenal went through a few years ago. You were both midtable teams for who knows how long.
We're working on a project, and if it doesn't work out, we'll send these kids to Saudi Arabia right away.
After almost a billion spent on them, you'all are going to send them to Saudi Arabian league ?, I thought the essence of the modern era slavery of a contract offered to these players was just so as too have them for very long and even if things doesn't workout the right way from the beginning they'll all have 7 years+ of worth of time to find out an effective chemistry.
£1 billion spent under four managers in a single year does not seem like a project to me; it sounds like an experiment gone bad. Who cares about a 7-year contract when the wages they receive is based on team performance? If you gave these jerks another season, we'd have more managers than points.
How long does "rebuilding project" last at Chelsea? And after 2 or 3 years of max spending (or maybe more) isn't it already time to say that it's not working?
We started the rebuilding process late last season and this is the first full season but the progress isn't looking good.
I would be very happy to be a modern slave if it means I can sign 5 years, go for all training, play 20% of games and still keep my job paying millions a month, even when my team keeps losing.
I guess all those players got smart and are in a great position.
They lost huge % amount of their salaries last season due to poor team performance and by the time they finishes their contract they would be earning less than J. Felix
