If you offered any Arsenal supporter at the beginning of the season to finish the league at the 2nd position they would have accepted it without thinking absolutely. However Arsenal supporters would be very disappointed if their team finish the league at the 2nd position at the end of the season.Even though there are many names who have had championships in the team before, it has been a little surprising for me that they can't handle the pressure.

When it comes to this evening I think Liverpool will win against Leeds away comfortably. (I made a 3-0 Liverpool win prediction in the pool.)

Unfortunately, if they don't win, they will feel so unmotivated that Arteta's biggest challenge is to keep them refreshed and excited next season. I think this is the hardest part to do. Come second and try again.
I think the opposite will happen. They have nothing to lose now. The achievements so far is great, they have chance to win the title too. Title win or not, the performance will motivate the entire management and they will not hesitate to invest more for the team. As a result the entire team will be hungrier to do better in the next season.

Yup, Arsenal is feeling the pressure. I'm saying it for a while already - compared to City, this team unfortunately does not have what it takes to win the championship.
City has gone a gear up recently and they are catching their top form just at the right time.

It will still be a really successful season for Arsenal even if they don't win the title and I hope they use it to keep on building - they have some fantastic young players in the team.

I agree. And I think everyone who is not an Arsenal fan will agree. This was a huge success no matter what the outcome in the end will be. Qualifying for Champions League was the objective. Nothing else.

To stay on top for so long, while having a squad that is only some percentage of the cost of City or Chelsea, many young players, young manager.

That is really really big in any league, bigger even in EPL.

Unfortunately, if they don't win, they will feel so unmotivated that Arteta's biggest challenge is to keep them refreshed and excited next season. I think this is the hardest part to do. Come second and try again.

For some reason, on the contrary, I get the impression that everyone except me benefited from another Chelsea defeat  Angry I have no illusions - but they can't lose forever, can they? I wonder how they will show themselves in the game with Real Madrid - is it possible that the "miracle" in the form of a victory will happen in this game (which I would really not want)? But watching Chelsea, I don’t understand at all what they are capable of and why bookmakers don’t rate them at the level of teams from the second ten.
I don't think they have chance against Real Madrid in the second leg even if they win they will be behind by goal difference. My bet will be in the favour of Real.

Yep, it's 2-2.
Considering the recent performance from Arsenal I am wondering how did two of our guys went with a draw? cryptofrka even picked up an exact score 🤣

Let's hope Liverpool don't take my dream away tomorrow LOL

I must admit Manchester United in the Premier League has been doing really well in their recent games.I personally had it in the pool 0-2 but as soon as I saw some players injury in Manchester team I changed my pick to 1-3 as I thought Nottingham is a team who scores goals usually and they even scored to Manchester City.

Tomorrow we have a beautiful game of Leeds vs Liverpool which should be beautiful to watch on TV as both teams will play free of stress, especially Liverpool and I see a game with quite some goals tomorrow since both teams play open football, more than Premier League teams play open football usually.

I really can't feel bad enough for Arsenal, this was supposed to be their season, but with Man City on your trail, you just can't give up these kind of points to be honest, get just 2 points from a possible 6 points, and the craziest part is that these weren't games where you had to struggle too much, I mean Arsenal being 2 goals ahead in both games, and had to settle for a draw, that's shooting yourself in the leg bruh! Their only form of redemption is 2 games away, that's against Man City themselves, If Arsenal can get a win in that game, then I'd say they'll win the league, but any other result would mean game over, but as you've said it should still be a season to be very proud of.

Arsenal have been experiencing this incident for two weeks in a row. As you must be remembering they got ahead by 2-0 against Liverpool back then as well but couldn't secure their score advantage until the end of the match. They had the same thing happened against West Ham today as well. I started to think like they might be having difficulties in handling with the championship pressure over themselves.

They are a young team of course so maybe this is natural for a team like them. Despite everything they could have won the match if Saka's penalty ended up with a goal.

So I should learn from this, don't trust Chelsea or Tottenham!

That definitely seems to be a recurring theme of this season. Such a crazy obliteration and waste of big money by Chelsea, I’ve never seen anything like it before. Usually teams who outspend everybody else do really well. It’s nothing new for Spurs to be crap and let everybody down though, it’s what they do.

On to todays games, West Ham vs Arsenal where the Gunners can’t really afford to drop any more points because Man City are coming. Nottingham Forest vs Man Utd you expect Man Utd to win but injuries to Varane and Martines might make it more difficult for them.

Yeah, I did imagine something of the sort happening at Newcastle, and with all the sanctions against Chelski since even before the Abramovich exit, I thought they'd at least be forced to not spend the way they did. Absolutely proven wrong in both cases, though the Blues acceleration moneywise is beyond belief.

Spurs is Totteringham Day stalwarts as usual... but I do wish Arsenal didn't come up with their own London special today =(

Arsenal draw was a completely unexpected result in today game, especially after they started like thunders and got 0-2 in just about a bit more than 10 minutes but I think they must have become self complacent after achieving this and their rhythm started to fall until they got to 2-2.They lost a penalty which could have changed the game completely as they were still leading 1-2 when they got it and if the result had gotten to 1-3 then they would most probably win their game.I think now that most likely Arsenal is not a favorite to win this season title and the sole responsibility is their own,I feel sorry for them but they had everything in their control and most likely will lose it.

I in fact had Chelsea vs Brighton 1-1 and then only changed it a couple of minutes before the start to 1-2 as I thought Chelsea is in the worse possible performances which I remember from several years. For Tottenham though everybody or most of us predicted them to be winners against a weak Bournemouth but this result just shows how f*cked up as a team they are.

I thought to lose many positions on yesterday results but I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was up 2 positions and now being in 11th place.Arsenal already destroyed my prediction of 0-2 for today game as already in the first half they are leading 1-2 and most likely we will see more goals in this game.

Stoppage time is already underway and the score is still 2-2. Apparently Arsenal will destroy a lot of multi-bets, predictions in the pool and the hopes of the fans today. It's a pity that their advantage over City melted away so quickly, but on the other hand, now I have more hopes for their victory in a personal meeting.

Yep, it's 2-2.

My god what a disaster. After making such slow and steady progress into Top 10 and finally finally keeping it stable, just 1 day of results pushes me down 3 spots.

I guess what surprised me even more is that many people did actually predict Chelsea to lose, but the biggest upset, according to results, was Spurs, which had the least amount of correct picks in our pool. So I can't blame anything there but many many people picked Brighton!

So I should learn from this, don't trust Chelsea or Tottenham!

I was tempted to go with Chelsea but then changed mind after checking their recent performance both the in the PL and CL. It was a well move and got me 3 exact points. But it seems majority of the pool participants still are in the illusion that Chelsea had a chance.

About Southampton , i think they are half in Championship.

Lampard could ruin no matter who he is training, in case he took City, Haaland would end up being mediocre player, and he is proving that with Chelsea
Southampton is closing to championship, but Leicester is also, and my Everton is also nearing there, losing home match to Fulham is least what we need, tough season just become tougher

I don't know if it's my worst round but I'm going very well to my prediction, so if I achieve +4, this weekend it is fixed, I have a side bet with plus 6.5...

Several zeros until this game but surely they wash away with Mci.

Really strange what happen in that match, after Vardy and Haaland talk, with vardy saying something like "have mercy of us" City stop attacking and they really went from 200 km/h to a 50km/h speed mobility.

@igebotz maybe time for new manager? You can't buy players outside of transfer window but you can managers. I am thinking Boehly has no idea what to do with his new toy and he is doing something just for the sake of doing.
Chelsea is typical explanation of money can't buy the league, especially if you suck at shopping.

Yeah, I agree with you about throwing money at the wall and hoping it sticks with no real vision behind it; four managers in a single season and we're still on the ground is something we need to question. Downgrading back to Lampard, who almost got sink us a last time, was the biggest mistake of the season; I told both of you that we would never win a single game under Lampard until the end of the season, but Harko doubted me.

I've been betting against my club every fucking GW since Lampard arrived, and I've made a decent profit. The only way to save our season is to fire Lampard before daybreak

BTW I went with 1-2 against Chelsea in the pool. Exact point for me .

This is the reason why I hate Guardiola, two first half goals from Haaland and he get subbed off

Told you earlier didn't I?

To be fair to Brighton - they have played some fantastic football this season.
They humiliated Chelsea at the Bridge today and should have won by a bigger margin.

They deserve a european spot for their performances and I hope they get it. It would help the club grow further.
