Man i lose so much time in the snooker question, what the hell, how can i know about that sport?

I think I love this round too, I don't know too well about snooker, except on a few a occasions when I inadvertently have on my tv screen, and I sure would not take away and end following the event for the next few days just the was 8 ball or 9 ball tournament that took place a couple of weeks ago, but that was doubles competition and representing their countries If I'm not mistaken because I remember watching Jake Shaw playing alongside another British player to represent the Great Britain.
Elsewhere other questions feels quite fair enough although not easy to come up with a decision or pick per se.

Snooker reminds me chess a bit because there you also have to think about few moves ahead if you don't want to give your opponent advantage. Maybe it looks a bit difficult to understand game initially, but I think that watching just 1 frame is enough to understand how it works.

I have to say, the basketball question is total 50/50, it's so hard to find that kind of game so kudos to the team for finding something truly coinflip for this round

Wouldn't say that basketball question is 50/50. My observation from previous tournaments that Canada usually brings good squad, but they didn't achieved anything. While France have 2nd best squad after USA.

USA got 13 golds in 2022 and 14 golds in 2019. They already have 3 golds now in the WC.. oops did I say too much now?😂 I already know my answer😁

I wouldn't say that it's a 50/50 question for someone that follows basketball closely. People like this know if there is some key player that is missing, if there is some disturbance in the locker room... All that stuff that us who don't follow closely know nothing about. And that's when it stops being a 50/50 question.

Worst thing (well, okay, not really) for these types of sports is you'll get vadtly unconfirmed rumours even if you do follow. I follow local football and you only get the juice in local language and from what's shared but it can easily be a disadvantage as most of the chatter turns out to be false come matchday. That's football, I've no idea how it shapes up for other sports but I remember following golf and it helped absolutely zero as players just either turned up on didn't on the green. Suspect the same for snooker...
USA? That's also a black hole for me, trying to find out even specific draws or schedules and it's a mess...

Would help you if I knew how. I wasn't even able to find the brackets when making the question. I just know final is on Sunday and first round on Tuesday which makes it good for our format.
I was also really surprised that top players must play one round before even entering the tournament while other players did that months ago.
I am in same boat as you here, with maybe some knowledge about best players as they were couple of years ago. Who knows if it is still the same guys rocking the sport. Hell, Trump was new shinny star when I last watched snooker properly.

I just checked the questions and answered all of them except the snooker question. I don't even know how to research the question. When I saw you mentioning Trump, I thought you are kidding about Donald Trump
Now I see that there is Judd Trump and he's 34 years old (so not so shiny new star anymore ). I'll probably wait until tomorrow to see which players will go trough, but I sense that this question will be the one with most misses

Our cup competition is entering final phase and things are getting heated. just like it should be Now you will have to wait a bit before we see who will take the cup, next week we are having regular league round. Just starting to work on questions but I think it will be predominately football once again. With maybe one curve ball thrown in for good measure, you guys are all watching snooker right?

Frankly there is a need for a small miracle for me to reach the semi finals from now on. I was thinking that Atletico Madrid would foul many more however the referee is trying to leave it to advantage constantly instead of giving foul. (It is nice in terms of football however it is bad in terms of my prediction.) Alcaraz needs to defeat Djokovic in the finale as well. However this doesn't also look much possible because of Novak Djokovic's being the much better side in general of the tournament.

Yup, we kinda test new things on the Cup.
Bamford was one of their star players last season and 'No' was all but certain here - and it gives a slight edge to those that are doing their research.
We don't want to give too big advantage - but one penalty seems like a fair thing for testing purposes.
