Just by looking at the H2H and recent games, they didn't seem like -2.5 Handicap team for Canada, it was an easy decision...

On the Tennis question, I think the question should be null and avoid, how can some not playing in a tournament get eliminated, and I did research on the tournament after not finding him on the bracket, and I'm sure there was a link that mentioned that he would join the tournament from a specific round or so.

I experienced the same problems. I looked up the bracket and schedules on many livescores but couldn't find Alex De Minaur fixtures but I just went ahead and picked him because of his seed ranking and since I don't know much about tennis fixtures and stuff like that but if the question was set on purpose only the Cro2 team can clear that up, I also noticed that the Cro2 team went the other way round just like the majority of the members, there could have been a mix up somewhere and I'd love to hear their explanation

For the Canada game; some.of you really thought Canada is a good football team? Fellas they only have mid players with 1 world class LB  Grin

There were two websites that I found on Google saying that De Minaur is already out. One website is a tennis discussion forum and they mentioned that on June 25th already. The other website also reported on June 25th that De Minaur is out and Jarry wins by walkover and plays against either Barrere or Ruusuvuori. That was kind of the confirmation for me that the news is real.

Edit: But I did the research at a later point in time and when I first had a look he was still scheduled.

But I actually lost the Georgia question because I waited for so long. I wanted to go with Georgia wins the group, but when the Netherlands scored that goal and I saw the game statistics, I changed my answer to runner-up - and lost! Tongue Even before the game I wanted to go with Georgia as the group leader, but this goal made me think that Georgia will be shocked and fall apart in the 2nd half. Indeed lost a point because I let myself be convinced of the wrong outcome.

I followed the first half. I was going to choose Georgia as the group leader. However I changed my mind after the equalizer that came in the last minute. Because Netherlands were way ahead in the statistics. I still can't believe this match ended up with a draw.

I had similar thought about this. At first I chose Georgia as group leader but then I thought there is no way that Netherlands is going to get 3 draws in a row so I changed that to runner up. I was even quite confident that they are going to win against Georgia especially after they scored the equalizer just before the first half ended  Roll Eyes. What a start for us thanks to Netherlands

That's great that you had a similar thought about Georgia and the Netherlands! It's always interesting when people have different opinions and predictions. It seems like you were initially confident in Georgia's performance against the Netherlands, especially after they scored the equalizer just before the first half ended. The unpredictability of sports can definitely add to the excitement and make the game more fun to watch. It's great that the Netherlands' performance gave your team a positive start. Enjoy the thrill of the game and may your team continue to have success! 😄🎉

I knew the first half would have been concluded before deadline, but I literally just didn't care about it because I knew it wouldn't give me any advantage, so I submitted my pick from the first glance of opening the questions after my due diligence, that's why I'm one of the first people to submit their answers.

Guadelope is on the verge of giving me another correct answer, I was happy when they took the lead and when into halftime with the lead, Canada is now up 2-1 with 4 minutes to go.

EDIT: They've the equalizer it's 2-2 now, wow!

@notblox1 I really don't even don't think Trofo is the one in charge of setting this question and as far Esports
Yes he is, everyone knows this except you Wink

Probably because I pay more attention to the question rather who sets what, honestly, but I totally understand your concerns too, but I'm glad it's bants and just observations.

Nice, Guadeloupe held and covered the handicap against Canada. After last week's gold cup question, I learned not to underestimate the underdog.  Wink

1.
Third seed Alex De Minaur is on a hot run on grass and can see his path to another final opening up from his round of 16 opener.

De Minaur starts against either Frenchman Gregoire Barrere or Finn Emil Ruusuvuori.

Should seeding hold in the Aussie’s quarter he will face Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic in the last eight.

2.
The third quarter of the draw is led by third seed Alex de Minaur, who reached the final at the Queen's Club. Known for his speed and agility, de Minaur has an impressive grass-court game. He could potentially face Gregoire Barrere or Emil Ruusuvuori in the second round, both of whom can pose a significant challenge.

Also, i'm surprised that many still went for De Minaur that single point could've been saved just by checking the bracket.

And for those of you that already submitted, give this a read:

You cant personally attack someone with a smile, unless I am Jocker and Trofo is a Batman and my enemy, but we are not Grin
I dont want to always be nice, boring and agree with everyone they are doing, when they play against us.
This is all just fun and games, so I dont take all this so seriously.

I'm behind as well, I really expected Netherlands to win this game. Their team is far superior.

as it is on endurance sports, Tour de France will start on weekend, and that could be a good question in three weeks, depend on what will go on during first two weeks
and it is probably biggest cycling event, bearing Olympic games
nevertheless, it is hard to set a question for that one, but at least it finishes on Sunday

missed first question, Georgia put me down on betting against Portugal, and now again because I had to put my answer on this question, going to put them as winners

Yup, I already have it marked. Will see how to frame the question though - but Tour de France will almost certainly be there.
If we have any cycling specialists (doubtful), now's your time to step up!

@buwaytress That ironman final sounds intriguing, let us know when that gets close and we will try to make a question about it. Not gonna do it for qualifying events though. Same as we are not posting qualifying events for DOTA or even Wimbledon qualifiers.

The spreadsheet is live.

Yes, the spreadsheet is live and im already one point behind   Cheesy

I dont know how Georgia managed to make this super performance in group stage, and really bad performance from the other teams. This reminds me of the 2014 WC when Costa Rica go to the 16 round in a group between England Italy and Uruguay, and they make the impossible possible.

I think the u21 Netherlands have barely been suffering like they today. The game couldn't have been anymore one-sided, but Georgia struggled through the game somehow again. All those shots from the Netherlands and all the ball possession in vain. The odds must have been nice for Georgia to finish the group as the leader.

I just wanted to say @leea-1334 you were right about the basketball u19 question. At first it took me some time to find a good resource as I have no idea about that either, but when I understood how the system works between the four groups it turned out to be not too tough to provide a reasonable answer.

Yeah same here as i had reported the last week, it doesnt work on other languages only in english. Trofo solution to open a private tab to avoid the redirect to our native language works fine and you can read the article.

About the article itself, nice to see i have a new "derby" against jeremy ( i didnt know he was my derby Tongue )

About the questions, Tennis question on grass really dificult to know. And Libertadores, its being very strange this year.
Yes it's really funny to read about those derbies, clashes, and challenges between members, that's a really good idea because it gives excitement to look closely at what is happening in the other divisions. Well despite his procrastination it seems my challenger has submitted his predictions on time. Grin Good luck to him. Cheesy LOL

We have hidden the answers from mv1986 and entebah because Coin_trader and LFC_Bitcoin failed to submit their answers.
To LFC_Bitcoin goes my apology - I tagged LTU_btc instead of him because I copypasted incorrectly. Still - a reminder from us is just that, a reminder.

Sorry to see you lose points boys - I hope in a few rounds we'll all be submitting on time.

Not sure why my name is mentioned here, I submitted my answers on Sunday and now I checked form again and it doesn't allows me to answer questions. Is it everything ok with my answers?

Hey, your answers are here. Sorry about that, must have been a c/p mistake.

Fair play to all that are waiting to submit, now I realize why. The Georgia game starts at 16:00 GMT, which gives you the 1st half for free.
This was not intentional, when we did the questions the start times were different, 18:00 GMT if I remember correctly.

This just shows that answering on Tuesday brings the most info - but carries some risks as well.

I sent my answers just as there was a break in the Netherlands-Georgia match

Georgia Led 1-0 in the 42 min and then I was going to go for them to win the group but then the Netherlands scored 1-1 in the 45+6 min and made it even more difficult for me so I changed the answer 😂

Good luck @mitchr4! We both need 3 points this round 😁

I don't know about the others, but for me answering late is all about me procrastinating, rather than trying to profit from waiting as much as possible to have more info on. Procrastination is a serious illness. Cheesy

Anyway, I learned my lessons from the previous round (I could have had 9 points now instead of 6) and I submitted my answers on time.
