Lost money on Alcaraz - Medv game.
Lost money on Djokovic -Sinner game. I'm done.

I'm so done with this tomunment; you go over, these dudes plays under. Any stable link to stream the final?

That's why Tennis is called the devil's sport here in Nigeria, you have to look before you leap, I actually made a bit of profit off both games you mentioned here, because I tend to go for the first set over or under depending on the match up.

I'm not streaming the games, I watched the games on DSTV channel 214 or 210, I would love to get a streaming link too because I get raining and wind signal disturb which frustrate me a lot.

Man! Basketball seems to be the only easy sport to predict these days.

I don't use DSTV; I would only use it when they implement pay-as -you- use plan, the charges is extremely high so prefer to stream.

This kid needs to be stopped, he's fast and he's stroking game is too powerful, this is my first time of watching him play.

He has created almost 20 Djokovic memes already. Hahaha  Grin

I captured this one.

@Harko let's hope this holds and continues for a while. Am following but only on text, still pretty good weirdly enough!

I can't hear you buddy, louder!

6-1 for a 3rd set and 2-1 lead for Young King! I really don't know but I just can't wait!

Huge respect to Djokovic for everything he's represent over the years, but we need someone to takeover from him really! and here he comes like an earthquake, I just hope Alcaraz sees this through, really!

I don't see you in spreadsheet, so are you are free this round*

I am jumping on few of them but I have to be more strategic than last season and correct some mistakes I made.

Yeah, Div 1 privileges. It's only going to get harder, and Div2 and 3 are full of the cream anyway so I don't expect anything easy in round 2.

I have no idea what to do different for the pools, honestly, except maybe to ensure that I don't miss picks... I was very near UCL prizes (in relation to where I was I mean) until I missed my picks for an entire Last 16 round, essentially eliminating myself from that pool.

So far no misses on BSFL, that would be disastrous!

Alacraz is bringing Djokovic back to earth and making a huge statement here in the 3rd set, especially game 5 currently on it's 13th Deuce on while on Djokovic's serve, man! This young lad win or lose is the next face of tennis, with Alcaraz, tennis future is in safe hands!

Also new generations are watching more and nore esports while football numbers are dropping outside major events like world cups or premier league. I even heard arguments to shorten football matches in order to better captivate young viewers who can't keep concentration for 2 hours straight.

As i said, like or not, we all have to adapt to new ways or we get left behind. Maybe new offside rule gets implemented to all leagues and it will probably raise the number of goals significantly and maybe boost some other stats.

Football hasn't been the same since 2020, when the COVID-19 affected the entire football calendar, rescheduling big events at inconvenient times, and so on.... However, football will always be football.

The time shortening suggestion was for the Super League, however it was never implemented. The new offside rule is not as horrible as everyone believes; CBs are already overprotected, and the new offside rule would completely transform their game.

Give me a streaming platform for e-sports let me check these games out for the first time.

Why are you all congratulating LFC_Bitcoin? He is playing against me and I believe we are drawn at the moment and waiting for the penalties. Did not check the table since I can't do it on mobile but I remember we had different answer on WTA and goals in U19. I won U19 and he won WTA question. All the other answers should have been same.
But great pick on Jaboer, we agree there.

Yup, you're currently sitting at a 3-3 draw.

I'm going big on Alcaraz today. I really feel that it's a 50-50 duel, so I fancy the 2.50 odds I can get on Alcaraz.

This is actually one of the biggest bets I'm gonna make this season, 5x more than my usual betting stake.

Guess Djokovic will not get Over 3.5 losses unless he loses the final. That was sort of my safety pick in case he loses, but my opponent also has it since he went with him losing, so I'm going to be sweating in this final.

I didn't check the spreadsheet for the last few days as I'm not competing. Now I see that I have only one correct answer. I guess answering out of my head isn't working. I really don't know what to do to start winning again. Man, I feel like Chelsea coach right now Grin I would never thought that U19 semi finalist games will bring ten goals. That 5-0 win of Portugal over Norway is really something. You don't see that kind of results often in the semi finals. I guess U19 competitions are like womens tennis. Full of surprises...

As for Djokovic vs Alcaraz, I don't understand the over confidence with most people here going with Djokovic because Alcaraz would definitely keep him on his toes all game long, and stand a very decent chance to me, to win the trophy.
I did not watch as much Wimbledon as I would have liked but I watched almost whole semi final matches and Alcaraz showed much more than Djoković there. Problem is we all know Djoković often plays as much as needed and just shifts gear until his opponent runs out of steam.

Should be a cracking final but I am not sure I am placing a bet on it. If I decide to do it I am probably going with over games or Alcaraz to win. Both are higher odds than Djoko ML and I am quite sure Alcaraz will give out a good performance today. Should be a battle for every point which we expected in RG and got robbed out of it.

back to topic, Vondrusova make it look easy to become first unseeded Wimbledon winner in Women open era
and Djokovic should claim 24 GS tomorrow, @1.53 it is a really value bet
Feel sad for Jabeur, it should be very painful to lose 2 Wimbledon finals in a row, but Vondrousova made history today.
Yeah, odds for Djoko looks not bad, but probably I'm going to look at other markets too to get more value.

That would be a hard pill to swallow for Ons Jabeur, I mean back to back finals, and giving so much fight to have come this far, I really feel it will be very unfair to think Vondrusova had it a bit easy, because she also faced very tough opponents on her way to the trophy, and for Jabeur it still shows her level of consistency too.

Sup everyone! Missed a whole day of forum due to travels and now still adjusting to new timezone. In a way, really good timing for the cup tie. LFC_Bitcoin probably won his tie, as did vd309. Looks like the questions ended up being tough for most of you anyway, huh?
Great performance from both of them in this Cup round.
It looked much easier at start but it turned out to be difficult round for most of us, I only have one correct answer so far and some people have none  Cheesy

It is different niche of products, you know gaming chairs or computer peripherals have to make commercials as well. Can you imagine better target audiance than gamers? Beer and football go hand in hand, while drinks like Monster are big esports sponsors. I am sure they have their math sorted out.

It's true, new generations barely can keep attention for 2 hours. It's not just about football, but also other sports too, I think there was similar talk in NBA. And also, TV probably would prefer to have 90 minutes divided into 3 times 30 minutes each instead of current 2 halfs  and 45 minutes to include more commercials
I really hope that new offside rule won't be implemented. I think that now everything is OK with football that we have now. If I would want to see more goals, I would watch handball or futsal. If I'm not mistaken, they're going to try new rule in some youth championships to see how it goes.

this is true, football matches are too long for young generation, not to mention five setters in tennis
it will all become shorter in due time, when current 30-50 years old people that are currently main spenders on these sports be replaced with now 15-25 years old, and maybe earlier
I don't like it, but no one is asking, change is only permanent thing

They generate money same way footballers generate money, by promoting companies on their shirts and selling the right to club name. Esports are already big and they are getting bigger by the day, adapt or get left behind. Same as with any line of work  Grin

No way!

Perhaps they are also receiving sponsorship from Saudi Arabia, since they have more prize money than most tennis tournaments  Grin

Please give me another DOTA tips

Not buying it for one second when it comes from the guy who supports Chelsea and then can't name first 11 when I make the question  Roll Eyes

What are you not buying exactly? My stats or my honesty on the video game.

Lol you expected me to name 11 starting XI under Lampard with a club of 50 players + Lampard doesn't have a starting XI, he just throws random guys on the pitch dependent on what his wife ordered him to do. No human was going to get that right. I got 9 and 8 for the Arsenal and Manchester United lineups because, unlike Lampard, these coaches are consistent.

There are too many sporting events this month to have E-sport questions.

Can I spoil the fun for you by telling you that we might have another dota related question next round or the next one after  Roll Eyes. There is a huge event starting next week on dota with $15M prizepool so pretty sure that would be included in the future question

Yes, Trofo does not support any European clubs; he just supports the Croatian national team, and because of his small interest in DOTA games, I anticipate to see DOTA more frequently.

$15m? That's the usual amount of money in a tennis prize pool; how do they attract this many sponsors with so little TV, right? Only about 0.8% of the world's population watches such games.

How do they generate money sitting in front of a computer with fewer people viewing them? Trofo.

All the game I've lost this season is because of DOTA questions.   Grin

probably a potential handing over of class from a old generation to the new era.

I guess Djokovic wont be retiring anytime soon but I honestly still want Djokovic to win this though. Anyway they are both 16 years apart and by the time Djokovic started his professional career, Alcaraz is still a few months infant  Roll Eyes they are totally both coming from a different era

I really don't know though, but one thing I know for sure is that whichever one of them wins the title have more than earned it here, you get. I really do love Djokovic too, and I love the fact that there is at least one veteran out there active in tennis showing these young generation players the need for consistency, because I can't imagine if the likes of Ruud, Rune, Tsitsipas, Sinner and co, are all we to compete against Alcaraz for the top ranks in tennis, that means there is becoming some level of decline in the sport quality over time, because most the mentioned players are top 10, and I don't believe I'm seeing distinct improvement in their level of competitiveness, not if a 36 years old Djokovic is having relatively easy against any one of them, I mean no disrespect Djokovic because he manage to keep himself fit and stay agile over the years, and this really should be the time that these young players begin to stress him according to his age, but they barely look as fit as Djokovic does.
Djoković biggest strength is his mental resilience, nobody has that on tour now that Nadal is not playing. I watched parts of the match yesterday and Sinner had his opportunities, especially in third set, and played bad points on most of them. Djoković plays his best tennis on those important points and that coupled with a bit of help from impressed/scared opponents is more than enough to make it look easy for him.

I am sure Alcaraz will not be impressed though and will want revange for RG. His problem could be that he will want it too much and maybe force it a bit which will result in unforced errors. It is really a fine margin to walk to get a perfect amount of aggressive play against Djoković.

It is either the "he wants it too much" problem or Djokovic drives him into a total breakdown again. I still don't know whether it could ever be verified that he had these cramps last time or whether that was psychologically.

As you mention, the mental resilience that Djokovic has also has this effect that his opponents know what losing a set or even two sets has no meaning at all. That's quite different when there are turning points in a game that you can often tell this game is over. Djokovic could be two sets down and 0-2 in the third and nobody would think Djokovic is done. That's extremely stressful because knowing you have to play 120% until the very last point is also quite taxing on the psyche.

Amazing that we have this final as this is probably the only game these days that can promise highest intensity/quality tennis maybe for a five hour thriller.

Thinking about a revenge for RG would be his biggest mistake, because as for RG it could been a whole different ball game had he not been injured, but he wouldn't want to retired at such stage is what I feel because he got back into that right Djokovic had taken the first set, and I don't think Djokovic would underestimate him too, especially knowing Djokovic getting back to No 1, after Alcaraz 28 weeks at the top of the rank didn't last for too long, and the next ATP Tour 500 was all Alcaraz need to reclaim the top spot. I don't think Alcaraz will be anywhere near the level of Djokovic when it comes mental strength, because there is almost no situation in tennis that he has been in, but if there is any young lad that can put Nole to a strong test, I believe it's gotta be nobody but the Alcaraz, because he just doesn't give up on plays too, but Djokovic does know how to mess with his opponent mental strengths, reminds me of the Mourinho vs Arsene wenger back and forth words exchanges before every Chelsea vs Arsenal games and then Arsenal often ends up losing because there is always an Arsenal team coming into a game already psychologically demoralized with Mou's evaluations and antics, but in the case of Djokovic he sure knows how to make his opponent doubt their own abilities.
