Drama for you guys, I was happy to pass through before the final questions, but I know it gets tougher!!

I remember mentioning a while back, I guess not here but in another thread, that if Ronaldo only knew how to just shut up and play, he would be doing so much better. He only has himself to blame for not making it this game except a long cameo but anyway, the better team still went through.

I think Ronaldo just isn't accepting that he's approaching the end of his career, If they scored 6 goals in the group stages and the only one he could afford was that one from the penalty spot, why should we think it would have been different today ? Because Switzerland conceded 6 goals ? That could easily have been attributed to the fact that the coach dropped him and every other player on the pitch isn't worried about not picking out Ronaldo when he's making a run because he would definitely display complaining gestures, but yes! that's as some other players will as well. Ramos were picked out 3 different times and the goals all counted because he was able to time his runs very perfectly, and the first one Ronaldo gets was offside because he couldn't do the same, If Rafael Leao was able to get on the scoresheet despite been brought on 13 minutes after Ronaldo was and just 3 minutes away from the initial 90, then I don't think there is any justification for Ronaldo, It either wasn't meant to be, or he's just lost his pro touches and finesse, perhaps both.

I see drama in our round of 16 was comparable to the real thing

Did not cover it live, was actually playing football with my mates rather then watching Portugal. Now when I see the result I sort of regret it but I needed a proper running in this month of just watching football and eating/drinking.

Ronaldo is the first choice taker. We all know how much he enjoys penalties, but Bruno has recently taken charge of PK because penalties always come when Ronaldo is substituted. If Portugal is able to take over the midfield from Xhaka, which is likely, Ronaldo could get a shot in the second half. I hope you both lose, but that will not happen. Spain showed their complete impotence in the attack (as always when a disciplined team sitting on the defensive plays against Tiki Taka), so they probably justly leave the tournament. But because of this result, I got into tiebreaks, where any goal in the first 32 minutes will knock me out. Well...hopefully if this goal comes through it will be Portugal.
