The Brazilians were carried away by the media for being good dancers, and I noticed that they all wore yellow hair today. What a pity.
France and Portugal will leave tomorrow.
I don't think their dancing specialties had any effect on their performance, not even by the slightest margin to be honest, and neither do I think they were carried away by it, however, I think the coach changes had effect on the match after Brazil scored they were still overcommitting players to attack they shouldn't been caught unaware in a situation of a 4v4 counterattack with just minutes left to play for, freaking Fabinho was on the bench, but you still had Neymar on the pitch, and no specific defensive tactical changes to the team, with such minutes left to play for even the most attacking team should do well to commit more to defensive organization rather than getting extremely over confident, and I really don't see Tite sending any defensive instructions either, perhaps they were carried away, but it was more by the fact they felt the job was already done and wanted more to it.
I agree that the coach was careless and overconfident, because any other coach would have deployed a massive defensive strategy after Neymar's goal; all ne needed was to remove some attackers and bring in more defensive force to finish the game. He failed the fundamental tactics last night, and the team's failure to reach another Semi is his fault. I see he's already left the team.
Croatia's luck will eventually run out; I've always been on their side, but this time I'll be on the other end. The Goat looks like he'll never stop scoring, and the Martinez guy is willing to put his life on the line to ensure Missi wins.
Are you calling penalties luck? If so I don't agree. It isn't luck or coincidence that we won so many knockout matches in last 2 world cups on extra time and penalty. It shows mental strength and belief that these Croatian players have. We took down Denmark, Russia, Japan and Brazil on penalties and England in ET. That is 5 out of our last 6 knockout games in WC. We lost final to France last time around.
Are you not tired of your team always forcing games into penalty shootouts? You've had more penalty shootouts than shots on target so far. Fall back, wait for a counterattack, and force games into overtime because the luck of penalties is always on your side.
On the other hand I agree we were very lucky to even qualify for knockout stages. Lukaku should have scored at least 2 and put us out in last game of group stage. But as the draw showed, our group was the toughest one in WC with both Croatia and Morocco still going strong while supposed teams from group of death are already home
Croatia being in the semi-finals this year is pure coincidence; they were the second best team in every game from the R16, and that is something we can all agree on. i like their wemen but i hate teams getting lucky all the time.
