I also do not recommend investing in ICOs. But of late I have realized that there are such projects that have unique vision, strong team and investing in them through ICO will be a big opportunity for investors. So I have started investing through ICOs nowadays. But there should be only good ICOs. So I want to ask investors to go through the projects before investing. As far as the ICO you have mentioned, I do not know about it much. I will definitely check it.
Now is a difficult time in the crypto space and in order to buy coins of the project you need to be very smart, cunning and careful. Hype is not necessarily what defines a good token sale although it does generally result in greater demand from retail investors which is very important for liquidity, but this shouldn't be your only reason for investing, however, much of the attention is now focused on the new wave of IEOs which can offer better quality products so just make sure you determine which startups actually have a real world use case, a decent marketing strategy and a sustainable ecosystem before you invest
More and more people are getting annoyed with the icos especially due to slow and low last year, most of ico investors from last year are in massive loss and now people want to get rid of all these ico based projects and looking for better alternative and this space may well be filled by security tokens offerings or stos, where the investor becomes a shareholder, part owner and is able to receive profits generating by the project, i think sto model is both more suitable and attractive for investors and next trend seems to be the sto.
Last year is bad year for ICO investor. There is many scam ICOs in 2018 and many investor lossing their money. I am agree if government regulation needed to regulate ICOs because its about investor money safety, if scam ICOs continue, its bad for crypto industry

I think ICOs will still exist despite IEOs more coming. Many developers team trust on ICOs is good way because they believe on their own project. But IEOs is more interesting than ICOs these days because promising big profits when start traded in market

Unfortunately, there is a huge temptation in the market for fraudsters, and therefore the number of garbage ICOs will only increase. In pursuit of quick profits, gullible investors will often suffer losses until tough legal mechanisms are created to prevent fraud in the ICO.
There is yet nothing to stop all those projects from lunching. At least, i this year alone, if i am right, i have some across more than two of scam projects.
I advise to do some research on them to discover their ineffectiveness and their attempt to scam their investors and waste the time and effort of bounty participants.

I do not think that it is worth starting to invest in ICO, as there are still very few people investing in ICO and still a lot of fraudulent ICO.
Sincerely if not for the greed of many people who want to invest in ICO and cash out huge profits, I don't understand why anybody should give these ICO his hard earned money. I still don't understand the need for ICO if not to reap people of their money. How many of the ICOs have delivered on their roadmap?

and most of the time, those with working products or apps can't get their audience. i have seen projects with working app in place but people are ignoring their existence. sometimes, you will think that why on earth is this happening? but those with beautiful graphics with fake team members are getting attention. why? because they know how to sell their empty product and naive users are taking the bait. a real pain in the ass situation.
bottomline, you need to be intelligent with your investments. do not fall from the trap of these scammers. they can deceive others because no one can stop these ICO projects but be on the lookout for yourself.
As an investors you must be strategic and understand in details what the project has to offer, several ICO garbage coming up this day, several ICO has been over hype, most has nothing to offer, To play safe you can invest in BTC, ETH and Binnace token, HLOD patiently until the market recover.
Firstly, I must say that investing in ICO is a big risk, and one must have that in mind before delving in. To reduce the risk, one ought to do thorough due diligence especially on team, product and token economics. You mentioned buying cheap on exchanges after ICO, not a bad idea but some ICOs ( a few) still do well on exchange.
if that will be involving a big risk and you will get a big reward for that. can you buy cheap BTT or FET like the the ico price. Promising platform is always getting more than 5x return from its ico price and it's too risky. 
Seriously, it's getting frustrating now. Lots of projects springing up daily with no real intent or solution for anything. Most of them are only interested in enriching themselves at the detriment of the investors. It is sad to see people falling prey to most of these shams. The worst part is, they keep doing this unchecked and people keep loosing money.

I do not think big money is invested in worthless projects. Even the number reached is inflated. Nowadays everyone is aware of the situation and knows that investments are risky.
