I understand you have already awarded tickets to the upcoming BigBTC tournament to two very deserving sealz. You are to be applauded for such a magnanimous gesture.

However, I believe I can present you a unique marketing opportunity that would be of great mutual benefit. As one of the "biggest" names in the art film industry and a longtime veteran of 5+ years in the SWC trollbox, my presence in the BigBTC tourney would surely draw in huge numbers of new potential players on SWC from my worldwide fan base who already pay good money to see me ramming it, jamming it, and going all-in. Although my filmmaking schedule in the upcoming weeks is quite packed, I can graciously find time between shoots to play the BigBTC if your team wants to seize this marketing bonanza and issue another ticket.

This is often how the internal discussion ends. As long as site existed there is only Bitcoin as settlement method. The user is responsible for showing up and leaving with Bitcoin. Monero has properties we like also, but the SwC roadmap has a large amount of improvements to make to the software before there is a chance to make different currencies available, so the discussion is for the future.

Today it is critical to focus on improving the platform and growing the player pool.

I really love the freerolls, it gives you chance to test the website without depositing into it, its like faucet of dice websites. You get to see how you fare with other people and usually when there is freerolls involved all kinds of people show up and the most talented usually wins. This means you are playing against people who are actually good at what they do and poker players instead of just people who test it, I mean there are people who are there to just test it as well but they don't fare well against the good players and if you are in the top 3 consistently you are bound to win eventually as well.

I love playing on freerolls because it kind of shows how good you got from the last time you played. Unfortunately texas holdem doesn't get much freerolls, its usually other types that get it and I don't know them that well.

I'd say given the current legal environment wrt to online poker, they won't look into adding "banking" to their platform.

^  Huh?  Why should SWC get into crypto conversions and complicate their day to day operation?  What's wrong with using an exchange to convert alts to BTC then deposit that?

Even many gamblers are feeling like it is too late without all other altcoins, but I do feel good at bitcoin-only-casino as now a days it too rare because even there are lots of options for various cryptocurrencies, I do play with only bitcoins. I guess, if you want to be continuing as pure bitcoin based poker then having in-house exchanging facility would be a simple solution for not losing gamblers for the reason of not having all other crytocurrencies. They will add any of their coins and then they will convert into bitcoin as per market rates and then they will gamble like how you are doing. In between, you need to make sure on selling those coins for same BTC prices.

Lightning network wallet function is under active development. We expect to bring this feature to the game in February.


Internal discussion about adding other coins in the future as completely separate currencies. For instance if we enable Ethereum deposits we also enable Ethereum tables. We're not ready for something like that yet, and we don't want to disrupt the pure Bitcoin poker we have always spread, but it has been discussed and we appreciate player feedback on it. Playing in a browser without sound?

How would you be spending dollars for transactions? I just sent bitcoin for like $.04 the other day. You could also use a free accelerator or something to push the transaction.

Will there be a new coin for deposit or will it be bitcoin forever ? I know you guys just started out recently but ethereum has been improving a lot with google chrome extensions like metamask and so forth which makes this kind of small amount sharing much easier and would make you get a lot more players into the game.

I love the fact that the entry barrier is incredibly low and there games for less than a cent for big and small bids but in order for me to send you money I will be spending couple dollars just for transactions from my wallet to deposit into your website, if however you had ethereum and stuff like metamask to implemented there than I would be capable of sending couple dollars every day and gambling instead of spending couple dollars on bitcoin. For something that allows small games, it would be easier for coins that are smaller as well.

January 27th! Don't Miss It!

Good morning,

I'm not sure who the most deserving seal is for the 10k ticket giveaway.  2bits is a great guy and he has helped many seals along the way, myself included.  Joan is one of the nicest people that I've ever come across and she has also helped many seals along the way, myself included.  There are others that also qualify for such a prize, but those two stand out in my mind as the most dedicated and deserving seals around. <3

Me?  I'm PaulC and I used to be a decent poker player, or so I thought.  I first came to seals in 2015 because I was poor and the word around the internet was that there were good freerolls.  I was not disappointed.  Within six months after joining seals,  I possessed 6.3 bitcoins, which was worth about $2000.  I cashed out a bit, pun intended, which helped with the cashflow problem, and I put it to good use in my everyday life.  I tried to keep the winning streak going, but the tables turned and I slowly lost the rest.  I look back at that time with some mild regrets due to bitcoin prices skyrocketing, but I really needed the money.  

Fast forward to present time and I'm looking back at many ups and downs, both in real life and on the felt.  I've studied poker at an almost obsessive level for the past decade and I think my poker record in isolation is pretty decent.  However, desperation has led me down a dark path.  I borrow often and I currently carry a little debt, both from supportive seals such as 2bits and Joan, and also from some other generous friends that have helped me through hard times.  I'm very appreciative and thankful even though it's hard for me to verbalize such appreciation.  

Desperation is hard on the mind.  It tricks one into thinking that there's no other choice.  When desperation is coupled with legit mental issues, bad things tend to happen both in real life and on the felt.  The past few years have taught me that this is very true.  It may be a joke to some; it may be sad to others.  For the one living with a serious mental issue coupled with desperation, it's not funny at all, but I'm not looking for pity.  I'm just hoping this message comes across as a warning to those that find themselves in desperate situations.  In real life and in certain corners of the internet,  I'm currently on a crusade of the mind.  Many people suffer in silence because they are afraid of rejection, discrimination, and confrontation.  It doesn't have to be this way.  You can live your life and be honest with yourself and others.  You can be happy.  

My current situation isn't pretty and I can only blame myself.  I've tried many jobs over the past decade, but I don't handle stress well.  Stress causes my anger, anxiety, and depression to get out of control after just a few hours working.  Basically, I do anything and everything that comes my way to make money.  It's not enough to survive without help, which I get a lot of.  However, I recently landed a job.  I just need to get some clients.  I've been approved by a major dog service company and I'm looking forward to making some new friends, and a little money.  I recently completed the application process for independent housing and I was seventh on the list as of October 20118.  I'm looking forward to a fresh start.  I have not tried to live on my own since 2008.  I'm ready now.  My mental issues are under control and I have not spent a night in a hospital in over four years.  The love of a great woman has helped a lot.  Sure, we've had ups and downs like any couple, but we stick by each other through the tough times and the good.  I know for a fact that she has my back and that I have hers.  

Like I said, I don't know who the most deserving seal is for this 10k ticket giveaway.  However, I probably need it as much as the next guy.  I trust seals to make the right decision, which in the end probably means letting Joan or 2bits play the Big Btc tourney for free.  If seals picks me?  It could make a big difference in my life.

My username is hopsonit, I recently found this website from a friend and was enamoured with it. I deposited around $70 to try it out and loved it so far. My bankroll isn't quite large enough to actually buy into the BIG btc normally. I am a casual poker player definitely not professional sadly though I sometimes try my best.
If I do win a ticket I will try and record my run in the tournament and hopefully I get deep in it which you can use for promotional material.
