any reports on .98 firmwares? Grin

I am testing on my poor performing units and so far looks great!

The disabled cores now seem to have a smaller negative effect on overall hashing power.

Early notes on 0.98...

- cgminer updated to 3.6.6
- getting fewer hardware errors
- no change in flushwork frequency
- performance roughly 2% higher
- temps slightly higher

Portal looks same as before besides them going down for what I assume is the FW update.

http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1FscNBYzd5CqDzUVQ9YapLQNtLbswkM4NL

Check out the worker tab it looks like it's coming back down but still.

I want to wait it out for a 3 hour average before saying that this is a huge improvement.

Mine look similar, but I think they will fall back to the average speed.  Even my 22 minute is way off right now.

We will see!

interestingly, after i updated my pool info to include stratum+tcp:// my jupiter HR dropped from 539 to 445.

nothing else at all was adjusted or altered...

i have just deleted the prefix an the GH/s is rising slowly but definitely.

ROLL ON fw .98!!

Hey guys,

I believe KnC Updated the Firmware in their hosted units.

It's looking like my Jupiters are getting 600gh+ (650gh on some and 700gh on one)

I'll need more time to see if this is variation but it looks like this new firmware could be a massive increase in hashrate.

Wanted to know if anyone is experiencing similar with their hosted units.

(The update appears to have happened in the past hour)

My hosted units have gone up and down a few times in the past few hours.  The portal hashrate and the pool rates don't match very well at all.

Did you see the increase in the pool or the portal?  My portal graph seems pretty stable (some a bit up and some a bit down)

Due to the stops and starts, can't get a good read from Elegius yet.

a lot of people have issues with dhl .I never got contacted by them.i contacted them after 3 days and they told me the next day by luck..also in my state in the Midwest they only have 1 place to pick it up the capital ...if you miss the truck guy (even with note) and they are "contract" drivers ie not DHL .they won't leave the package...according to a nice dhl rep they may feel they could get jam'd up by dhl so won't leave it....better safe then sorry take it back to the capital....

it is pretty rinky dink in the states ....so call this number talk to a rep....you may get a tracking number out of them at this point

phone is 1-800-225 5354 (I think) or check the www.dhl.com site

it took like 4 days to get to me by the by..my box was trashed had to be held together with two hands.but my miner works well..so the soggy box helped imho it was probably "hand carried" rather then tossed from Sweden

anyway just my experience call to play it safe...one other guy on here had no zip code and it was on its way back to Sweden another guy had another issue..so it saved my butt and 2 others so far that 1-800-225-5354 number..if I have the 800 number wrong google it

good luck

Just spoke to Anna. Apparently my miner left yesterday, but she couldn't find my tracking numbers, so she told me she will call DHL to find them and then send me an email.
Nervously waiting.

That's bad, being on 1st name terms with support people before the thing even gets into your hands.

I can't find Firmware 95 to re-instate it.

all fw versions are here: https://www.kncminer.com/pages/support

Thanks,

Managed to find the link it had a space too many in it. Hashrate still decreasing though.

Any thoughts? New Mercury with .95 firmware.

I bumped my to .97  I did actually experience issues the first time ever today...dropping hashrate...interface would freeze up when trying to connect to it....I tried everything I could...what seemed to fix it was when i disconnected my asic board from the controller board (everything off!)  then connected it to another port.  I dont know if my port is shot, I don't really care though my shit is working and I don't want to fidangle it until difficulty is at 10 billion or higher.  It was clear skys before and now it seems to be hashing really strong at 148 but it was at 135-145 before all that happened today.
