Its legit. I got the same type of message:

Quote
As all orders have now been sent for production, no more refunds can be issued for the September/October orders.
November shipping orders can still request full refunds.

A news update was posted on our website yesterday afternoon.

You can still get your money back through Paypal or credit card company. The story that they're "in production" is crap, and sounds an awful lot like BFL. The entire feeling of this thread is starting to look an awful lot like the BFL forum nowadays. I guess Sam learned a thing or two from Josh and Yifu when he met them for that famous photo.

I mean, let's be real. You guys expect them to get all the chips in Sweden, test them, put them on PCB's, pack them, and ship several thousand devices all in the next 3 days?

If they're not bragging with video and photo evidence about the successes and being on track, then there's obviously something very wrong. Being silent for weeks while having everything on track would be sheer lunacy, even Josh does better PR than that.

BFL had more to show, what, 6 months ago? Ok, they may be better organized than BFL is, I'll give you that. But to expect that all the stuff gets sorted out in 3 days? You have to be seriously delusional for that.

As we are now in production we can’t say for sure that your boxes will be ready for pickup on Monday.
There are no pickups before Monday in any case.

Most likely all your orders will be ready early next week, but that does bring us into October I’m afraid.
They were so close to making it...  Undecided

I have 6 Jupiters and 2 Saturns on order, so unlike most of the trolls that are doing all the whining, I have lots of skin in the game.
Good to know. Smiley I used to think you were just nitpicking for fun

Well I guess there is plenty of opportunity to learn from all this.

I guess if doing something like this in the future it might be a good idea to offer two tracks, one for people who want the product in a hurry and another for people who prefer to wait between steps of the manufacturing process to confirm they still want to proceed to the next step, so they can always back out if after any step they get cold feet.

Like "Hi customer, today your chips are ready to be sent for assembly. Fast track people's are already on their way. Please inform us within 30 days whether you wish yours too to go to assembly or would prefer to cancel at this step."

Oh wait maybe that is too late in the game?

Maybe "Hi customer, today we taped out and placed wafer orders for fast track customers. Please inform us within 30 days whether you too wish to proceed to wafer order or would prefer to cancel at this step..."

But no skin on your face by the look of things.

That earns a trip to my ignore list.
Wow, dude. Before this post your total contribution to this thread used to be just a little bit more significant in usefulness, than this ignore-fest of the socially crippled. Congratulations, you've reached the new low.

And what happened to your promise of staying away till monday?

On topic of the thread: Where do the KnC "supporters" come from? Spreading false hope and ridiculing the worried is so very irrational behavior. Anyone with few k$ of money involved has the right to (furthermore, is expected to) flip shit on KnC when promises are broken and refunds denied.

Oh right, they already shipped to the assembly plant.

Oh well, better luck next time.

Should have cancelled sooner, eh? Amazing that people so worried would wait until too late.
