Yesterday's match was very interesting and was also very close. At one point I was fully sure this match will be won by PBKS unfortunately, that did not happen. RR won by just 2 runs. In the final overs, PBKS were struggling to play the ball. It would be touch one to swallow for Rahul.
With 8 wickets in hand, they couldn't get 4 runs from 6 balls? That is actually pathetic batting from the Punjab Kings. After the 13th over, they were at 126/1 and needed just 60 more runs from 7 overs. But once Mayank Agarwal got out, their batting just collapsed. Nicholas Pooran made some big hits, but Aiden Markram on the other end was not able to score runs freely. And when Deepak Hooda came to the crease, he was under a lot of pressure and got out for a duck. Personally I thought that they could have sent Fabian Allen ahead of Hooda. Punjab Kings needed only 8 runs in the last 2 overs to win. 8 is required on 12 balls. It was an easy win for Punjab. But I didn't understand what the batsmen did. This is how they lose a match where they have enough wickets. For these reasons I often think IPL is scripted. However, betting on IPL matches is very risky. Any miracle we can see here.
