Never expected CSK to win, but yesterday MI were much worse. I think it was the over from Trent Boult (24 runs conceded), which changed the course of the match. Without that, CSK would have made somewhere around 140, and Mumbai would have chased it with ease. Still it is unbelievable how CSK, which was reduced to 7/3 at one point and 24/4 later managed to get to a total of 156/6. Captaincy from Kieron Pollard was pathetic. He looked clueless in the last 3-4 overs of the first innings.

If i would have placed a bet i would have gone with MI and with the way CSK started no one would expect them to win either. The reason for Rohit Sharma did not play the match is because they might be placed in quarantine as they were in England or wanted some rest for the first few games as they had a long tour.Not just you, most IPL followers might have felt the same thing. If they had collected less than 150, Mumbai might have won the match.

CSK pulled a victory from nowhere, they bowled well in the first part and gave it away in the final 7 overs and CSK was able to score 156 runs when three of their batsman scored runs and they were able to restrict MI and win the match is incredible. If i remember correctly MI had a weak batting lineup and their bowlers were the reason they were winning and now CSK was able to dominate them.

It is idiotic to have Trent Boult to bowl the depth overs, because again and again he has failed trying this. And this time also, it was no different. His first spell went for 3-1-11-2, and his fourth over went for 24 runs. Jasprit Bumrah is tailor made for such occasions and they still went with Boult. If Bumrah had bowled 3 out of the last 5 overs, then there is no way CSK would have made a total in excess of 150. IMO, Boult should bowl 3 overs in his first spell, and then the final over should be squeezed sometime before the first powerplay.
Whatever it may be i never expect CSK to score above 130 let alone 156 runs at the end of the first inning and full credits to Ruturaj Gaikwad who i am hearing about the first time in this tournament as i think he performed well during the initial stages as well and then Ravindra Jadeja and the special cameo by Dwayne Bravo took the team to a decent total. What happened to Rohit Sharma as he is not in the team and will MI struggle to reach the target without him

It is difficult to predict the early matches of the IPL. Most of the time we don't get the results we expected. However, MI team seems to be stronger than my CSK in today's match. I don't want to guess what the outcome of the match will be. Moreover, I will not bet on this match. But I will support the MI team today.

Only Gaikwat and Bravo's 8-ball 23-run innings helped Chennai to such a big collection. I still thinking that ,Mumbai will win.
