Afghanistan is not an easy opponent. They have the ability to beat the New Zealand team.

I am surprised to know how all of sudden the Afghanistan team has become so strong ?  If you tune in to Indian media channels or twitter, you will find that the same point of view that Afghanistan is the superior team who has the ability to beat any world class team.

Afghanistan team has been beaten badly by India recently and I wonder what happened after the match that everyone is talking about Afghanistan team hidden ability and their super powers  Huh
Yes Afghanistan was beaten badly by India in the last match but you remember their match against Pakistan as well they gave tough time to Pakistan and was at a winning position. It was the brilliance of Asif Ali that changed the match otherwise the result could have gone either way. Yes newzealand are much stronger than Afghanistan but can not say that they are clear favorites.
Afghanistan will give a good fight but I do not think they will be able to defeat NZ. If Afghanistan continues to perform the way they are doing now then I am sure by next worldcup they will be beating bigger teams if they are allowed to play by ICC  We also will se Pakistan playing against Scotland which I am sure will be a complete one sided match.

India's future depends on today's match between New Zealand and Afghanistan. If today's New Zealand wins this match, then India's dream of going to the next round ends here. And if New Zealand loses, India can advance to the next round if they win their next match. Afghanistan is not an easy opponent. They have the ability to beat the New Zealand team.

Yes it was irrelevant but they defeated an unbeaten side like england and it would be atleast a good end to the tournament for them. The first match that they lost against came back to haunt them which they could have won. Australia on the other hand did well and beaten west indies with 4 overs to spare which helped them boost net run rate which resulted in the top 2 teams in the group.

England still managed to finish at the top of the group, with a vastly superior NRR. All eyes would be on New Zealand vs Afghanistan match today. At least on paper, New Zealand is superior to Afghanistan. But slow batting during overs 7-15 and the absence of Lockie Ferguson is a cause for worry. The replacement bowler (Adam Milne) is yet to prove his worth. If New Zealand wins today, then tomorrow's match between India and Namibia becomes irrelevant. For their satisfaction, India can defeat Namibia by a huge margin, and then brag about it.

I never expected SA to win the match. I thought that ENG will easily chase the target but they were not able to. SA played really well, Rassie van der Dussen contributed a lot to that score, great to see him bat like that. Not a single batter from the English side was able to reach 50.

Yes, I too agree it is better for him to again become a commentator. I always liked his commentatory.

The win was irrelevant. They had to restrict England to 131 or lower, and their bowlers failed in that. So much praise is showered on Kagiso Rabada for taking the hat-trick in the end, but his expensive bowling (45 runs from 3 overs) was the primary reason why South Africa couldn't restrict England to a smaller score. Once the 131 level was breached, nothing else actually mattered. South African team is a motley combination of players who are there on merit, and players who are in the XI just because of the quota. Nothing better can be expected from them.

Although South Africa's victory was irrelevant. But it was unexpected. And many gamblers like me lost their money yesterday. The South African batsmen have played great. I didn't think they would be able to build a huge 189-run hill against England's strong bowlers. However, almost all the players of the England team were able to collect good runs yesterday. They are not dependent on any particular player. They are the strongest team to win the World Cup this time.

-South Africa is officially out from the WC. Group 1 Semifinalist Eng and Aus.
It was a great game and South Africa played well and in the second group Pakistan and New Zealand will get qualified unless we see a spin magic from Afghanistan  Cheesy.

-Ravi Shashtri is in talk with new IPL franchise (Ahmedabad) to become their head coach. lol
Ravi Shashtri can once again become a commentator and i think he needs to take a break from coaching  Cheesy.

Tomorrow New Zealand and Afghanistan will seal the fate of India, expecting incredible bowling from Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan   Cool Cheesy.

Win and lose is part of the game, but fighting until the end is really great from this team. Van der and Rabada were hero for them as after having very poor bowling he still had some good fight to complete his hat trick, it's great win for Rabada and South Africa.
Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram was the hero of the evening for South Africa, if not for the batting England would have won the match easily. In the match Kagiso Rabada was taken apart and i was curious what would happen when he came to bowl the last over when England need 14 something on the board but he produced some intelligent bowling taking the hatrick by picking three wickets in the first three balls and restricting England.

I thought SA would stop fighting after their chance of qualifying was over but they gave fight right until the end and wanted to prove that it's just NRR due to which they aren't going ahead, you cannot doubt their quality even a single percent. I hope Rassie would have got his century he was quite near to it just missed a couple of hits in the last over.

The first disappointment for England was Jason Roy getting injured, then in the last over If the shot of Chris Woakes would have gone for a six the result of this match would have been entirely different, I think it was that catch from Norkje which changed the match, Morgan too got out immediately after that. South Africa took lot of memories from this match, the innings of Rassie, the hattrick of Rabada but unfortunately will have to fly back home.
Keep one thing in mind if never happen anywhere around the world because it's never been good today South Africa were excellent, and they fight until last ball of match this is really great sports spirit from them. In today match I love their body language because they had never been good enough for some time but after having today win can change things very positively for them in future games.

SA & England match was really awesome man. Rassie was really blasting hitting 6 sixes, 5 fours and totally 94* runs out of just 60 balls. On the other side Aiden Markram supported Rassie with his 52 runs from just 25 balls with strike rate over 200%. A lovely score of 189/2

Eng really did their best chasing 189. If Moeen Ali stayed not out for 2 more overs, yes Eng would have own the match. Every player did perform well even though SA bowlers were on fire removing Eng players One by one. Like today, the semi final is going to be really interesting and challenging.

England won't collapse intentionally just to keep their rivals Australians out of the game. They are groomed well and know the respect and laws of the nature.
You can expect these and all kind of tactics from the BCCI board only, no other board can be that shameless.
This is a fucking sport and i have seen you talking about these shit earlier, just cool down and avoid politics here.

Yeah exactly, i wished i don't have to speak the dark aspect of this, but it is sometimes necessary so both side point of view are clear.
Also its strange that  " YOU DO POLITICS" & its not politics and "WE EXPOSE WHAT BEING DONE" & its become politics   Sad

A great game between England and South Africa. I thought about placing a bet but then let go as you never know what England would do as they have a deep batting line up. Liam Livingstone is hitting the ball a long way and Eoin Morgan is in the crease, the score is still chasable.
Well deserve win for South Africa they have done good job and won against very spirited England which is now still on top with very good NRR and will face New Zealand/India in semifinal and in other semifinal Australia is going to face Pakistan which is going to be another good match because both have some good history of good matches in ICC events.

Rabada with good ups and downs completed his Hat Trick in last over which is great for this spirited fast bowler of this generation. Even South Africa is out of this competition, but they have very good results with these youngsters, hopefully if they are able to have some better selection policy they will do some better in near future against good teams.

Number game...

England score is 59 so they need only 27 more runs and they are in, seems formality for them.

Mind game before the ashes? Reaction from the aussie media would be very amazing if England collapse under 131 runs, result Australia out. More drama in the upcoming ashes  Grin Grin

Well I do not think that this will happen , right now England are 68-2 in about 8.3 overs so making over 131 runs would be pretty easy for them and even they would be trying to win this match as they are very aggressive and positive in their approach and they can win this game as well, required rate in 10.5 right now which is not a big deal for them I think
Even this all is not possible right now but in rivalry we have something like this in past if someone have better memory then remember a match was play between Australia vs West Indies and Steve Waugh and Michael Bevan were on crease, so this was also ODI World Cup game and both were wasting too many balls because their logic was if they will play slow and West Indies have some advantage then New Zealand surely going out of world cup semifinal. Even this was not happened but Steve Waugh reply was he love to do this for axing New Zealand out of World Cup, and it's not against the rules.
If someone had any doubt then please check here what the hell these two done    https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/icc-world-cup-1999-61046/australia-vs-west-indies-28th-match-65220/full-scorecard
