This is a lame theory now, New Zealand was over confident that they sent a weak team, when Australia toured Bangladesh this year and not that long ago in August, they had the same fate as they struggled miserably against Bangladesh and you think that the New Zealand selectors were sleeping when that happened  Grin.

New Zealand sent the best team possible and they struggled against Bangladesh and full credits to Bangladesh for showcasing that kind of dominant performance rather than sugar coating the pathetic performance of New Zealand by saying they were overconfident in sending a weak team Tongue.

The excuse being given is that they wanted to give chances to a few youngsters before the squad for T20 world cup is announced. But if backfired on them. There is no issue in giving chances to younger players, but that doesn't mean that they should be used as cannon fodder. One thing that surprises me is that hardly any of the visiting teams are playing warmup matches nowadays. Is this due to COVID restrictions? It takes some time for the players to get adjusted to the conditions, and for that warmup matches are required.
This is just a practice tournament. Do not get over excited with this win. The main match will happen when the T20 world cup will commence. If Bangladesh can perform the same way that they have with Australia and New Zealand then they will be a team to reckon in this Worldcup. Btw, amazing performance by the Bangladesh team.

@bryant.coleman the possible theory is that they didn’t consider Bangladesh strong enough, and that’s why in their overconfidence they decided to not have any practice matches. Also this failure will serve them well, as it’ll help them understand where they need to be better and hopefully they’ll perform better in their upcoming matches.

If that is the actual reason, then I have to say that they made a grave mistake. Bangladesh is not considered as anywhere near the big-3, but still they can upset the best teams on their day. The only negative is that they are a bit over-dependent on some of their senior players. But the current Bangladesh is perhaps the strongest they ever had, since they received the test status from ICC in 2000. Hopefully, now they will be able to improvise further and reduce the dependence on players like Shakib al Hasan.

Of course you are right that only a few members of the New Zealand main team are in the team, all the rest are new faces. However, this is everyone's expectation that New Zealand will play well.

The national boards have almost completely stopped international tours by 'A 'teams and the U-19 teams. As a result, apart from the main 4-5 batsmen, the others don't have sufficient experience of playing in hostile conditions. On top of that, the Bangladeshi spinners have been in terrific form recently. New Zealand board should have at least played a couple of warm-up matches before the outings against the national team. They could have at least got used to the conditions and avoided this humiliation.

Very good said, Bangladesh blowers completely demolish New Zealand poor batting lineup. BAN strong side dismissed Tom Latham's side only for 60 runs! They should've scored at least 100 then the match would be little more competitive. This is clearly humiliating for them, hope they'll look upon their lacking part and come back strong in the following match.

Damn, ripped off. I thought NZ will have a good fight and possibly a win but sadly, they just played shit. Most of the players are very young and inexperienced. I haven’t checked their profile properly. But it’s also a fact that the pitch is being in favor of bowlers. I don’t think NZ will have a good come back with this team. BD batsman finished the chase as expected.

The Bangladesh team has yet to find an experienced and talented opener batsman. They need talented and experienced opener batsmen to perform well in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Sadly[1], Tamim said he will not be playing the t20 world cup. He himself have informed this to the board. Instead, he said to look for new faces for the sake of the future team combination.
[1]- I said this sadly because there's no one who have perfectly replaced Tamim Iqbal. I was also opposing Tamim because he was also not a perfect one for opening but it seems there's no one better than him.

Bangladesh won by losing only 3 wickets. The Bangladesh team has yet to find an experienced and talented opener batsman. They need talented and experienced opener batsmen to perform well in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Although the bowlers of Bangladesh are playing well. But Bangladesh will not get such a bowling-dependent pitch in the World Cup. So Bangladesh needs more talented batsmen. Otherwise, they will not be able to perform well in the World Cup.

New Zealand has received appropriate punishment for sending a weak team to Bangladesh. They lost all their wickets for 60 runs. Although it is a second-tier team, but it is still New Zealand's national team. It is a great shame for Newzeland. A few experienced players should have been included in their squad for this series. Because we all know that Bangladesh is always strong in their own field.

I was very upset to see New Zealand's performance. To make matters worse, if the players in this squad are the next players in New Zealand's main squad, then New Zealand will be a very weak team. I expected New Zealand to lose, but I never thought they would lose so badly. In the previous series, Australia scored the fewest runs in their T20 history. New Zealand followed the same path in this series.

After checking Kiwi scoreboard i chuckled  Grin. Don't know about you guys but it gives me immense pleasure when i see any SENA country bundle out like this on spin track lol

Many new guys in NZ team and some of them are debutants but still good performance from the Bongs.

New Zealand already lost all wickets collecting only 60 runs ... No one can collect a honourable score against Bangladeshi bowllers . This is 100% sure that Bangladesh team would win the match without any doubts. Wait and see the results.

LOL.. pathetic performance by New Zealand. They are at 52/7 and I really doubt whether they will be able to make a total in excess of 60. And remember that the conditions in UAE will be very similar to those in Bangladesh. NZ is missing some of the big names such as Williamson and Taylor, but I wasn't expecting such a debacle. As expected, it is the spin bowlers who did the damage - Shakib al Hasan, Mahedi Hasan and Nasum Ahmed. Tough times await New Zealand during the T20 world cup, and if their performance is like this then I would be surprised if they could qualify for the knockout stage.
In fact, Bangladesh performed much better than before. There are a few good bowlers in the country who can easily corner a team. Such as Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman .

Mustafizur Rahman just howled one over that picked up two wickets and new Zealand already lost 55/9 ... May be new Zealand don't collect 60 runs in the match. What's the game cricket is!!!

The first T20 match of the Bangladesh vs New Zealand series will start shortly. New Zealand has not sent any players selected for their next World Cup in this series. This is a team in their second row. On the other hand, Bangladesh will play with their full strength. Moreover, Bangladesh will definitely take advantage of their home and they will build a spin-dependent pitch. So it will be very difficult for New Zealand to perform well on this type of pitch.
We're going to watch a T20 between experienced and inexperienced players. New Zealand is serious about the T20I World Cup, so it's expected that most of the New Zealand T20I squad players will play the rest of the IPL matches in Dubai. As a result, we get New Zealand in a new look. Bangladesh will do everything in their power to win the series. Concerning the pitch condition, any visitors always have trouble in the host countries, the same things persist everywhere.

Comparing the squads of Bangladesh and New Zealand, Bangladesh team can be considered as stronger.
I guess you are assuming like that due to recently concluded Bangladesh-Australia series. In my opinion, Bangladesh made the most of their home advantages and that may continue even against New Zealand. Honestly, both New Zealand and Bangladesh got lots of new talents hence I am not going to predict what would be the final stand now itself.

Bangladesh will definitely take advantage of the home field, and make the pitch according to their choice. However Sakib is back in form, Mushfiq has always had a stable performance. On the other hand, Bangladesh has found some young players who have performed well against strong teams like Australia. New Zealand's team, on the other hand, is not experienced. So I think, Bangladesh is the favorite in this series.
