England is struggling to score runs freely, i thought it would be an easy game for them but they already lost their top three wickets and are struggling to score runs against the Sri Lankan bowlers. The pitch is difficult to bat for the team batting first and any team winning the toss choose to field first and they are having an advantage. Hopefully England could score a competitive total because i placed a large bet on them to win Undecided.

India going to the next round is now completely uncertain. Qualifying for the next round now depends on Scotland, Namibia and Afghanistan. India may only advance to the next round if one of these three teams can beat New Zealand. Scotland and Namibia teams are not strong. However, Afghanistan is performing well enough. The New Zealand team must perform very carefully in this match. But I would be happy if India can go to the next round. It is sad that a team as strong as them is eliminated in the first round.
India, one of the top contenders, would be really disappointed if they were unable to advance to the next round. Considering the way the Indian cricket team is playing, it cannot be expected. According to the analysis, on slow tracks you have taken into your side one spinner who is not very experienced as compared to one great spinner who is sitting on the sidelines. This is what's happening in the Indian team.

I see all the discussions today about the Indian match suggest that no one is watching the today's match between England and Srilanka. Don't you match other matches ?

To the surprise, England are struggling against Srilanka and we might be heading towards another upset. Srilanka desperately needs a win to stay in the tournament and maybe today is their day.

England has lost 3 wickets now. 11 Overs over now, 59 runs. Sri Lanka has began well. De Selva has removed the key players followed by Chameera taking Dawid Malan's wicket. Other bowlers as well are controlling the runs. Multiple chances for wickets but did not work out. However, Buttler is on attack. He has performed well in the previous matches and England is leading the series now need to wait and see how things would turn at the end today.

What happened to India. Really disappointing. Just got 110 in 20 overs. Boult from New Zealand has taken the 3 key wickets and yes they really played a fantastic game today. Mitchell and Williamson have played lovely shots and they just needed only 15 overs to finish off the target. India has not even own a match and its really pathetic. Indian Batsmen have to perform well.

Don't get disappointed. India batsmen will perform well but only in the IPL. These Indian players are more suited for the leagues like IPL and they don't have the talent to play with International teams.

Another potential point could be "Fatigue". I mean they are continuously participating in bilateral cricket since pandemic started. First they spent 3-4 months in the Australia bubble. After that back to Indian bubble against England. Followed by 1 month break and directly into English bubble against England and last IPL bubble. They were winning series after series everywhere, don't need to remind ridiculous amount of success in the Test cricket and limited overs series wins in Australia-NZ-England.

Yes, that's what i am saying, the big three playing with themselves and living in the fool's paradise that they are the best.

The players not getting enough rest might be a good concern that the cricket boards around the world should take into consideration, the players might be burned out and so is the reason they are not able to perform during a crucial tournament when the hype was with them and everyone tagged them as the favorite they went down.
Right now main concern is too much cricket and burnt out because just few days back IPL before this edition of IPL they were in England even they are professional, but they are not robots they are humans they have some other interests as well they need some better time with families and friends as well it's really a bit of issue for Indian Cricket right now just imagine now after this World Cup they have New Zealand at home then they are going to South Africa and then again they are preparing for IPL what the hell is this all BCCI surely do some better management before it's too late.

We already watch what happen to Ben Stokes and few English players, so they bring some window and then players can perform some better way.

Bhai i don't remember when Kohli won the toss for India except couple of IPL match. Sahi panuti hai yeh delhi ka launda, its good that he's leaving captaincy soon.

Gotta feel for Indian bowlers that their batters continuously failed to contributed in ICC tournament but in the end bowlers gets dropped from the team.

The real panauti is not his performance with the toss, but his selection policy. He adamantly refuses to include Ravichandran Ashwin, while he has no problem in including the out of form Harddick Pandya in the XI. They are all set to lose today's game and that makes it extremely hard to qualify for the knockout stage. Pakistan is sure to get 10 points from their 5 matches (unless they lose their remaining matches to Namibia and Scotland) and it is going to be tough competition for the second spot.
He's going to end up like a tragedy king and he deserve that. His selection criteria is fucked up for sure, although today team is not too bad except unfit Pandaya. I think all of em are victim of stardom and too much pressure on their shoulders. Consider India out from the tourny, for majority of Indian fans 2003 WC finals , 2007 WC, 36 all out, WTC finals and 2021 WC doesn't exist  Grin Grin
I think selection criteria isn't only the choice of the captain these days, Coach/ Manager and this time Mentor too have a very big say, also if Kohli has resigned already I am pretty much sure Rohit must be an active part of selection too. The thing is when you are losing so badly, each and every player is to blame, just one or two players in and out really wouldn't have changed a lot of things, to be honest, you really can't even blame toss in this match because you barely scored 110 in the first innings, dew never came into the picture.

One thing I feel which could be the reason for this defeat is lack of team coordination, you are coming directly after playing IPL in which you were competing with each other, coming immediately to play together is difficult also because India has not played with this combination from a long time, players were clueless about their responsibilities. But this is what happens if you Win everyone praises your selection/ your performance no matter what have you done, but if you lose everything is questioned.
Fair point on "Coordination"

One thing to note here is that the other teams follow a rotation policy, and the Indian team is fiercely against it. Virat Kohli has a fixed set of players who he wants to be included in the playing XI. It is ridiculous to see Harddick Pandya being included in every match, although he is neither fit, nor in form. The only contribution from Harddick during the last two years is the inclusion of BLM activism with the Indian team. Then there is blind reliance on Varun Chakravarthy, because else Ashwin needs to be included. Right now Kohli is running the team selection like he is dealing with his private business. Unless this attitude changes, I don't expect much positive to come out of the Indian team.

I think Kohli was given enough freedom to make his own squad. He sorts the squads according to their choice. But I don't completely agree with the two names you mention. Hardik Pandya but not a bad player. He is a bit off form now. However, Varun's replacement is with the Indian team. He should be removed from the team now. He has bowled poorly in both the matches. After the defeat against Pakistan, many blamed only Mohammad Shami, but in this match I did not see any Indian bowler bowling well.

The main reason for India's defeat is that they have lost form. It is foolish to think that players will be in form all year round. India's problem is that their top-order batsmen have all lost form together. They are very talented and experienced. Even if they are not in form, there is no way to get them out of the team right now. There are very few talented players in the world like Rohit Sharma, Rahul Kohli. If they return to form, India will become irresistible. Just wait, the Indian team will be able to get through the bad times very quickly.

Right now too many talks about India and their performance around here which is good, but main problem is their BCCI greediness they are doing too much for their own profit first not allowing their players for playing in other leagues and secondly too much cricket which is also having some big impact on their performance.

If their management want some better results instead of money then surely they have to change their some policies and give them some better chance of improving skills and experience with different leagues and places just playing in IPL never allow them to have some good result like we have in English Premier League they are doing very good in clubs but never been good in national level big matter of concern.
IPL is a world class tournament and if you think that the players are not gaining any experience what difference does it make even if they play hundreds of other leagues. The reason players who perform well in club football is not playing well when they are playing for the country is because they are not performing as a team.

India had the best preparation for this T20 world cup. All of the Indian players had a good practice in this condition, because they played IPL there. And India was favorite for this. But they are showing the poor performance now. Which is fully unexpected. Seems like they won't be able to qualify for the semifinal. Indian team is well known for their batting lineup, but they failed in both matches.

Here after performing well may not bring them any more chances in this world cup. Even toss is playing a crucial role, I just wonder why Indian bowling attack is lagging with intent? I do not think that bowling Varun in powerplay overs a good options or at least should be allowed for only one over to make batsmen not getting comfortable against pace attack. Kohli's team selection and making Rohit not to open kind of decisions are really surprising. It seems India player may focus only on IPL or they may need some player who are all only specialist for T20 format and not playing other 2 formats. India may need to forget about semi final birth unless otherwise some magic happens in remaining matches.

Cant believe what is happening with india, they were the favorites before the start of this tournament and now they are on the verge of second loss in a row, and both the matches they have been beaten comprehensively, yes they lost the toss in both matches but still scoring 110 runs in 20 overs is not expectable, can really tell what is the exact problem for india right now.
It's very strange for me as well what suddenly happen to this Indian team after losing against Pakistan first time in CWC today they are completely out of way their body language is also not good enough for fighting in this match look like they are ready for early exit from World Cup 110/7 is really a joke as these all players was good enough in IPL they understand pitches and also having good advantage from other all teams. Look like some big coming after world cup because this completely not expected from them.

15 runs from 42 balls right now target for Kiwis after winning this match now they can feel some better for qualifying for semi-final.
They doesn't want to feel better, now they can feel comfortable. For India three matches were left, if two matches were won it can't get into the top 2 So, this time India hasn't got the luck to get qualified for the semi final. India has completely lost its play, because they're under pressure to win. This time Pakistan is very strong to defeat any team. The poor performance of India is visible through the score 110.
Yes now India dont have a chance to qualify for the playoffs as even if they win remaining of the matches, either newzealand or even afganistan can go to the playoffs this time. Also net run rate of india is too low in the negative so I am not able to think about any way that how can india qualify for the semi finals, so sad to say but we wont see india in the semis. Undecided Cry

There are very thin chances for India to stay in the Tournament, their performance has been very disappointing in all the matches they have played so far, the performance of Afghanistan is surprisingly better than all cricket analysts had expected and their chances of going in Semi final are bright. The most favorites teams are England and Pakistan to reach final. Let's watch and wait, there are always surprises in cricket like in crypto space. Grin Grin Grin

Let me clear some things for you. No matter how big your players perform in the leagues, its a different altogether game at the national level.
After the India first loss against Pakistan, they were under too much pressure to win this match (as it was a do or die for them) and they failed because they are not capable of handling pressure.  The pressure faced in IPL is entirely different when it comes at a national level.

Secondly, if you compare the Indian wins in ODI and T20 in the last decade, they are heavily dependent upon the performance of their first three batsmen. If the first three batsmen failed to perform, India usually lose the match.
