Mohammed Azharuddeen is not a full-time wicket keeper. During the last match, it was Sanju Samson who kept the wickets for Kerala. Anyway, the slot for wicket keeper batsmen is the most contested position in the Indian national team. There are too many contenders, with Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha being the top choices right now. Apart from these two, there are others such as Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul.
I am not aware of these domestic teams and i am hearing about these players for the first time. Not sure whether these matches are telecasted but i can see the updated scoreboard.
Rishabh Pant cannot be a specialist wicket keeper until he improves drastically, the number of catches he drops per series is high than any other wicket keeper in recent times.
Even in the last match Wriddhiman Saha played as a substitute keeper and he took some exceptional catches and i am sure if Pant was the keeper there is no way they will get out.

If Azharuddin is a better wicket keeper then he will replace Rishab Pant with ease and he can be in the team as a batsman and not as a wicket keeper as he keeps dropping catches in a crucial position and he is not up to the standards that is present in the team with other specialist wicket keepers and if Azharuddin is better at that and can be consistent he will be a bright prospect  .

I am watching Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy's matches. And after watching the performances of the teams I will start betting here. Today two matches are being held Rajsthan vs Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai vs Kerala. Rajasthan team gave a short target of 149 runs to Madhya Pradesh. But Madhya Pradesh lost 6 wickets for just 63 runs. It looks like Rajasthan will win the match easily.
Usually in the past Kerala was a weak team and this is the first team they defeated Mumbai in a match in the history of domestic cricket and there are pretty easy picks in these tournaments, i am yet to watch the rest of the matches but the picks are pretty easy for some matches.

Some phenomenal batting display by Azhar who is just seeing cricket ball as if its football with 102 not out in just 40 balls with 8 sixes.
First time Azhar is performing like this in the big stage even though i have heard about him and it was the first century scored in T20 from a Kerala player.

Damm! if this was an international tournament and then this would have become a record. I did some search on Google and found that AB De Villiers holds a record of the fastest century which was in just 31 balls against the West Indies in 2015.
In domestic T20 especially in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Rishabh Pant holds the record for scoring the fastest century in 31 balls.

He is a wicket-keeper and batsman. If he wants to get a chance in the Indian team, he must play better than Rishab Pant. Hopefully, in next IPL we will be able to enjoy Azharuddin's destructive game. A good performance in IPL widens the door for the national team.

Anyone watching Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy domestic matches, i started watching because Kerala have a very good team with Sanju Samson leading the team and Robin Uthappa opening and Sreesanth making a come back after seven years. Today they are facing Mumbai and they are chasing a target of 197 runs and they had a good start and might even win the match. Watch out the name Mohammed Azharuddeen the Kerala opener who is smashing the Mumbai bowlers and he will be in the next IPL Kiss.

On the other hand, Mumbai gave Kerala a huge target of 198 runs. Interestingly, Kerala scored 127 runs in 9 overs without losing any wicket. Mohammad Azharuddin scored 92 runs off just 35 balls. Hopefully, Kerala will win today.
Didn't watch the game but heard about Azharuddin's inning. Harsha Bhogle literally had a boner when talking this player  Grin. I checked the teams roaster and its good to see that almost every IPL local/national players representing their respective states, even likes of Sikhar, Ishant, Raina, Bhuvi, Chahar etc.
Mohammad Azharuddin is a very talented young player. But I don't think he will get a chance in the India national team at this time. He is a wicket-keeper and batsman. If he wants to get a chance in the Indian team, he must play better than Rishab Pant. Hopefully, in next IPL we will be able to enjoy Azharuddin's destructive game. I agree with you. Mohammad Azharuddin is a talented player. But he has not yet been tested in all formats. But Rishab Pant played well in all formats. It will not be an easy task for Azharuddin to replace him in the Indian team.

Kerala just need 46 runs in 56 balls and Mohammed Azharuddeen scored a century in 37 balls.

Damm! if this was an international tournament and then this would have become a record. I did some search on Google and found that AB De Villiers holds a record of the fastest century which was in just 31 balls against the West Indies in 2015.

He scored his century from 37 balls, which makes it the 13th fastest century in T20 cricket.

https://stats.espncricinfo.com/wi/content/records/305876.html

The record is still being held by Universe Boss Chris Gayle, who blasted a century from just 30 balls (Royal Challengers Bangalore v Pune Warriors, in 2013). Back then he scored 175 runs out of the RCB total of 263/5 in 20 overs. Aaron Finch went for 29 runs in 6 balls, while Ali Murtaza went for 45 from his 12.

Chris Gayle innings is unforgettable and still flashes in front specially the ones where he has those massive sixes in that innings and might take some long time before anyone could break it. 100 in 29 balls literally means that each ball must cross boundary line which is like the toughest to break it.

The over-rated Mumbai bowlers had a meltdown. After 10 overs, the Kerala total was like 150 or so. Some of the commentators were talking about the upcoming IPL auction and Azharuddin's prospects of getting selected by one of the franchises. He needs to perform consistently in the remaining matches to have a chance for that. His first-class and List A averages are in the 20s, and this points to inconsistency.

Dint paid that much attention to these games amidst India tour of OZ. But looking at it seems some exciting game is on though Kerala should easily make it with just 45 needed and 9 wickets in hand. Chirs gale will play for Quetta Gladiators in this year's 2021 PSL. Quetta sign up Gayle, Lynn joins Multan for PSL VI.
That is very good news for the Quetta team and also more international popular players are now willing to come to Pakistan and play in PSL.

Lynn is a very good addition to the PSL, but as far as Chris Gayle is concerned, I have to say that his good days are well behind him. If they really want to attract the international audience, then they should go for the crowd pullers such as David Warner, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell and Glenn Maxwell. But these players don't come cheap and may cost the franchises upwards of $1 million.

Nothing happens in a day as "Rome was not built in a day". Firstly we managed to conduct the full tournament in pakistan instead of dubai. Then these international players willing to come to pakistan to play the league. I am sure a day will come when players like Pollard or Maxwell will show their interest to be the part of this league.

Exactly, players will always have a great demand for domestic cricket like T20, players like Pollard and Maxwell will show their interest but their government should also accept the league otherwise, it is impossible for them to participate in that league. Players like David Warner, Kieron Pollard, Maxwell, Andrew Rusell will cost very high amounts.
Right now price is not problem main thing is schedule and players security now recently we have some good things about security as United Nations employees bringing families and many other countries also declaring Pakistan as secure and better country for their citizens but due to Covid-19 we have many issues which is not only in Pakistan its happening around the world which need sometime hopefully in coming years we will have some good number of players in PSL.

That is right. PSL is doing well now and the PCB should not overhype it. It takes some time to build the brand name and attract the broadcasters and sponsors. The first edition of PSL was played only in 2016, and yet they have witnessed massive growth till now. The PCB don't need to do anything out of the ordinary. If the PSL is left to its own natural growth, then it has the potential to become one of the top sports leagues in the world.

I don't think PSL can become the number no 1 league anytime because no league can become bigger than the IPL in terms of popularity and money. However, the target should be to become the 2nd most popular league of the cricketing world. It will be a big achievement but it may take few years to get that title.

Price tag is different in every league. Last time i checked back in 2018-19 PSL per franchise purse was less than $2 million. So i doubt if anyone want to spend millions on single player, no matter how big they are. Maximum amount would be around $200k, even this price looks high to me.

Duration of the tournament also matters. A regular player in the IPL is expected to play a minimum of 14 matches, while in the PSL it is much less. IPL stretches for almost two months, while the PSL will be completed in one month. And looking at the salaries of the other leagues such as the BBL and the BPL, I have to say that those in PSL doesn't look too bad.

Overlapping international schedule with the BBL is not new trend for Australia. They are playing Boxing day test match or series continuously since 80s and BBL comes during the summer so its obvious both events clashes with each other every time so nothing related to Indian tour.

If I am not wrong, this time the broadcasters are not happy with the scheduling and they are suing CA. At this point, it was a bad decision from the part of the board to schedule the Indian tour exactly overlapping the BBL. Actually the BBL started well with the domestic Australian audience, with more than 700,000 viewers for the initial matches. But it declined later, as the national team started its matches against India. The viewership for BBL in India is also down by a lot, for obvious reasons.
Yes, one of the many reason, they had some dispute on media rights or financially due to revenue loss. Can't remember the exact reason.
