SCAM ALERT

It has come to my attention that a number of circulated currencies are in fact privately issued dimensionless tokens, that is, scams of the most blatant nature.

Some affected currencies:  USD, CNY, EUR, JPY, GBP, ...

NOT ONLY are these coins significantly premined, but developers and hackers CONTINUE TO ISSUE THESE TOKENS IN PRIVATE.

I repeat, there is nothing at all to stop developers and hackers from issuing these tokens to themselves IN ANY QUANTITY AT ANY TIME.

And further, there is no way for us to know how many are thusly issued!!

Wow.  Talk about scammy, eh?   No other coin in this forum is such a blatant scam as that.  But wait, it gets worse:

1) No transactions are ever publicly confirmed!  That's right, there is no public transaction record.  Block time is effectively infinity.

2) Significant association of these currencies exists with criminality of all the worst types from pedophilia to terrorism

3) Completely unregulated money supply, no public oversight is possible.

4) Proceeds from the private issuance of these tokens and selling them to unsuspecting public has been used in the most
atrocious and wasteful activities in history from massive environmental destruction to warfare.

Be advised: participation in such a scam as this is unlikely to be forgiven.  Spread the word and be vigilant to avoid any contact with these tokens.

As for Staisybit, they are scammers and held my coins and I lost coins so NO we are not working together.
Hey, now we can all call each other scammers, neat.

another Quote of the day
But gold has a utility that crypto-currency doesn't have

I appreciate an appreciating asset as much as the next guy, but I tend to evaluate things with somewhat of a transcendentalist approach:

"Transcendentalists believed that society and its institutions ultimately corrupted the purity of the individual, and had faith that people are at their best when truly "self-reliant" and independent."

Both Bitcoin and gold have value in that department, but it's difficult for someone to build and guard their own gold vault all day.  You need a way to store wealth that still allows you to function and be somewhat nimble.  Using Bitcoin in this approach, you're effectively a rogue proletariat benefitting from the collective technological and verification upkeep burden, of the vertically integrated civilization you've opted out of (I'm sure Anonymint will derive some sort of claim Bitcoin is doomed from this sentence).

Which brings us to:

It'd appear I'm splitting hairs, but gold is better in dealing with devaluation, rather than inflation.

Definitely the largest semantics argument I've ever seen presented, but yea.

5. Federation in general
Federation (as it should be) is a social structure, that gives every member the
freedom and the space, to preserve its own uniqueness, sovereignty and
identity. It brings communities as close together as possible, to enable
collaboration and to celebrate diversity …. and it should be scripted

Quote of the Day
The 1 million "Satoshi owned" bitcoins have been priced in by the market to stay put forever. Craig "Satoshi" Wright said he was going to move them, what are your opinions what would happen to altcoins prices if he stands by his word?

If it tanks BTC, I will actually buy a bunch of BTC and immediately buy my favorite ALTS with it, since it will decrease their price verses FIAT.   Cheesy
But I have more faith in my favorite Alt than BTC , no matter what happens with Wright.

 Cool

quote of the day "persistence, which is one of the essential herbs & spices"

I'm gonna have to part company with you on this one. Landomata is the fellow who put together NXTTY, so it's not a cloning: it's a rebranding.

His pivot to Newbium is essentially a business decision. NXTTY started off okay but never took off; evidently Lando decided that it was futile to offer a chat app that tried to be all things to all people. Newbium is being designed to cater to a niche (crypto speculators.)

That's the way I see it, anyway.

I agree with Nxtblg here, NXTTY might not have taken off but it *could* have (still might, aren't DARPA looking for a anon chat app now?), it wasn't a scam, and Landomata has been around for a while and showed persistence, which is one of the essential herbs & spices needed in any successful start-up. Rarely does the first iteration of an idea hit the jackpot

really happy about cryptopia
very DO-able (give it about 8 weeks but it will happen) C-cex is still a target too!

PROBLEM
we can't fork TALK to something better (or at least it makes it such more difficult)

no worries

TALK will continue on as a 'wildcard' old code POS, no hardforks, but likely to have a dev do their best to softfork some improvements.  In the meantime a TALK squared project can evolve ... will be a snapshot minus the deadwood ... so you will need to register an address (aka be an active member) ... then the next level project moves forward with only participants who helped over the last 2 years ... thus accounts not moved in the last 500days (out) ... so TLDR; eventually 2 coins Wink

(no rush .. just food for thought)

and cryptopia! https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Vote

be careful with submiting to cryptopia
WE NEED A WEBSITE FIRST!
hex will fail the review and it is a bitch getting him to re-review Wink
website doesn't need to be much (one page free bee will do) ((also bit silly for TALK to be based here at BCT needing a stand alone website ... but those are the rules))

ccex ... yeah VOTE ... likely will take some BTC to win but you never know

Mine is running 5 daemons right now with very little resources consumed, but obviously, mileage varies
$40
cheaper than renting a server for a year :/
and i doubt POW_ASIC 'sticks' will get cheaper than that too

not paying much attention Smiley

but POS discussion wise..

benefits of PoS is defense against rogue PoW hash.
for any "low value" shit coin.. this is very useful to keep the blocks reasonably consistent rather than at the mercy of anyone with a vaguely mediocre farm.

we went with constant block rewards because it is a simple way to encourage more staking inputs.

with many coins, it's more profitable to keep your coins in a single input, quicker to stake meaning higher compounding return.
not good for network Sad
with constant reward it is more profitable to earn more stakes over time than the quick bang .. good for network Smiley

i recall reading some discussion on removing coinweight from calculations, which also encourage more staking inputs .. was that PoS2?

--
also LOCO is a current "new" staking coin. it's actually left its seriously high return periods but is still high.
dev developed some personal issues just after release, but is still around, and suggests he will be back in the saddle in the next few days.

currently on block 31706

Block    0 - 5000 = 0 coins Per block
Block 5001 - 7500 = 100,000 %
Block 7501 - 10,000 = 75,0000 %
Block 10,001 - 12,500 = 50,000 %
block 12,501 - 15,000 = 25,0000 %
Block 15,001 - 17,500 = 10,000 %
Block 17,501 - 20,000 = 5,000 %
block 20,001 - 22,500 = 2,500 %
Block 22,501 - 25,000 = 1,000 %
Block 25,001 - 30,000 = 500 %
Block 30,001 - 60,000 = 250%
Block 60,001 - 120,000 = 100%
block 120,001 Onwards is set to 50% Per Year

PoW constant reward of 5 coins/block

edit.
actually, there were some "benefits" to the dev not being entirely present.
the minimum stake age during the first 20k blocks or so was accidentally set to 24hrs rather than the 6hr in the OP.
this resulted in most blocks during that period being earned via PoW rather than a massive spike in growth via PoS.

one could only hope for possibly two stakes during each mega high reward section rather than eight or so.

Bitstamp Becomes the World's First Nationally Licensed Bitcoin Exchange
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitstamp-becomes-worlds-first-nationally-licensed-bitcoin-exchange/

And Japan is making motions to recognize BTC as a type of money.  Hope they under score that by turning magical tux into sushi.

Plus the wikivoss Twins have a licensed NYC exchange.

Shit is get authoritatively real.  Institutional money is going to swing into the game.

Part of the vision is having vetted veterans of crypto (aka BCT long term players), loosely organized, "I will consult for TALK" ... Wink
