I inform that I was contacted by Duelbits, to support the project. And in that sense, over the next few weeks, there will be a Duelbits banner on the site.

I want to thank Duelbits for supporting TalkImg, and @Hhampuz for taking care of everything.

This is good news. I am very happy for the TalkImg get support from duelbits, I hope both of them will benefit from this collaboration

It looks good and doesn't distract from the user interface

With Duelbits joining as the first Sponsor of Talk[img], this proves that Talk[img] is very worthy to be the main image hosting for Bitcointalk forum.

I am slowly switching from Postimg to Talk[img] because Talk[img] is faster and simpler to upload photos.

I hope to create my own personal account so that the photos I upload are in my personal gallery.

Dude, joker_josue , sorry if I have not done any mistake, then I am getting only login option in https://www.talkimg.com/but I can't see any signup button on https://www.talkimg.com/ !
Or the option to sign up here missing or removed?
If you want an account you have to send a PM[1] to joker_jouse requesting it. There's no active mechanism in the website that allows you to signup automatically.
Follow this process, all are ok but after clicking upload for getting the URL then it's shows this message. Or if I did any mistake ?
Are you sure that you copied the full code? If so, try to follow this little guide[2] to make sure you're making everything correctly. Also, you don't appear to have a API key, perhaps that is part of the issue? The code uses the API key that you're supposed to enter in order to upload to your account.

1. Copy the code below.
2. Destination -> custom -> Import from clipboard -> Put your API key where it says "API-KEY-HERE"

Plus, if you'd like, you could directly place this information right into the website which probably has more views than the thread, thus increasing its visibility.

Following this suggestion, it is now possible to see the volume of donations made on the website.
This was done using the API, developed by @bitmover, thank you.

Soon I will also make some changes in the OP.

Thank you to everyone who has already made a donation. They will be very useful for the continuation of the project.

EDIT:
I suggest that you add this url, instead of thread:
Code:
bitcoin:bc1qhwnncpdd8gfzqwjkk9n052wf7g9mvks3xaa7qa

This url will automatically open the default wallet with your address (mobile and desktop)

I also applied this suggestion!  Wink

I'll give a little suggestion, maybe if the uploaded image has a small watermark in the corner of the image it can attract sponsors, because I'm sure the uploaded image on talkimg will be seen a lot in this forum.

Thanks for the suggestion.
This is really what other similar services do. But, also from what I observe, most users would not put that information. Therefore, I believe it would not be much more efficient.

I think that for an advertiser here on the forum, it would be good, since it would be like a forum sig but on the site. It may be that, as the project continues to grow, it will attract the attention of sponsors. It's still only 2 months old, so be patient, I think someone will be interested.  Smiley

 Statistics June 2023____________________
After two months of operations, I want to once again take advantage of all the support that the community has given to this project.
The numbers prove it, thank you very much.

Here are the numbers for the month of June and totals:

Number of uploads in June: 10.041
Total number of images uploaded: 28.477

 Total disk space occupied:
 7.4GB

Number of visits to the talkimg.com website in June: 3.177
 Bandwidth in June: 404GB

Hi @joker_josue

If I look at the visitor statistics, which are only 3,177, I think that's quite a bit. Yes .. maybe because visitors only come when uploading images, so the number of visits is small

But are you sure that the number of visitors talkimg will be able to attract sponsors? I've never had a web for image hosting so I don't know the sponsor prospects for this web model. But managing the web like talkimg will cost a lot.

I'll give a little suggestion, maybe if the uploaded image has a small watermark in the corner of the image it can attract sponsors, because I'm sure the uploaded image on talkimg will be seen a lot in this forum.

But if you do, maybe bitcointalk members don't really like it. I'm just giving a suggestion

Sorry if my advice isn't great

But how were you thinking I would do that?
Simple.
Just write amount of donations you received each month.
For example in July you received total of 0.1 BTC (in theory) from multiple different user transactions.
You don't have to write each amount, addresses, etc, just write that you received 0.1 BTC worth $3031 and you thank everyone who donated.
This is just example what I would do, but you can do whatever you want Wink

bitcoindata.science

This would ease some of your work since the balance would update automatically[1] (please correct me if I'm wrong bitmover) and users could directly see how donations are going. Plus, if you'd like, you could directly place this information right into the website which probably has more views than the thread, thus increasing its visibility.

Thanks for mentioning my project.
This is correct,  the balance updates automatically (once the transaction is confirmed)

Joker_josue,  I noticed that your donation address in your website has a link to this thread.

I suggest that you add this url, instead of thread:
Code:
bitcoin:bc1qhwnncpdd8gfzqwjkk9n052wf7g9mvks3xaa7qa

This url will automatically open the default wallet with your address (mobile and desktop)

My suggestion is to post small report updated like this every month, or at least every few months.

But how were you thinking I would do that?

Go listing the amounts donated and thank those who did (even if anonymously - I also don't know who made most of the donations, just those who informed here)?
Or just say, something like: this month I received x donations?
I think that listing all the addresses that you've received donations from would be a rather tedious process for you (and anyone is free to check the address using blockchair explorers).
However, I also agree with dkbit98 - It would be nice to have some information in the OP regarding the donations just to give an idea how financially capable is the project. What do you think of incorporating bitmover awesome API[1] to display the current balance of the donation address right in the OP? It would look something like this:
USD
EUR
This would ease some of your work since the balance would update automatically[1] (please correct me if I'm wrong bitmover) and users could directly see how donations are going. Plus, if you'd like, you could directly place this information right into the website which probably has more views than the thread, thus increasing its visibility.

Also, piggybacking on dkbit98 idea: Let's say that your monthly expenses are 100 € and you currently have 800€ of balance in the donation address. Then you currently surpassing the monthly expenses by 800% - this could also be inserted somewhere in the website so that users are aware of the financials. If instead you had only 50 € of total donations then your % would just sit at 50%, signaling that the monthly expenses weren't covered.

Don't forget to add report for all the Bitcoin donations you received so far, you don't have to add exact addresses and names, just add total amounts.
I know you could use more funding, and this can be a good reminder for anon donators to help you when they can, every sats count.

Once again I'm late to the party, but I also want to thank you, joker_josue.  I used talkimg.com the other day to post an image, and it was easier than imgur!  You did a great thing for the forum and I definitely appreciate it.  If this were a stamp collecting forum, I think we'd all be screwed since the probability of having members with as much coding experience as you would likely approach zero.  LOL.

If you want to adjust the size, just change the height and width number. Try to choose a number that is proportional or, if you prefer, define just one of them, so that the image looks good.
Oh, snap!  I know I'm an idiot when it comes to coding, but I did know how to change the width of an image (which I often did, using width=500).  What I never tried was adjusting the height--and I thank you for your reply above, because you taught me something important...and probably obvious to most people here.  Lol again.

Considering the age of the service those are some great numbers, congratulations! As someone who likes this kind of data I think that this kind of information would fit neatly in the OP. That way more users could see the reach that this service currently has. What do you think?

Yes, I'm thinking about it. As soon as I have time, I will add the global stats in the OP.
Once again, thanks for the support.  Wink

note edited for clarity :

Yeah it breaks the one or two word post rule. But fuck  >> you are doing a lot of work to give this to the community.

Years ago I ran difficulty thread contests.  I gave away over 10 btc.

It was a shit ton of time and effort. I always appreciated the kind words of posters.

I used your service today. in this post.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62499680

and it auto reset to correct size.

Imgur did not I would always need to do it manually.

You did an upgrade that will save all image posters quite a bit of time.

to the op nice work. thank you for continuing to improve the free service.

I appreciate all your support given to this project.
So believe me I saw your two words of support!

I didn't create this self-moderated thread, because I want to convey as much transparency as possible. And for that, the ideal is to keep all the posts created. If something is really out of topic, I appreciate you cleaning it up.

Words of thanks, it's not out of topic. But, of course, don't expect 100 posts with just "thank you". Either way, it all depends on each case.

EDIT: I have not asked for any posts to be deleted.
