Hey all, hate to be a thorn in everyone side, however what should my OC settings be for  RX580 Sapphire mining Lyra2z ??

The aggressive under locking doesn't work right for me using tdxminer I've tried on 30 some rigs may lower some but most has no effect

Does voltage settings really work for tdxminer on Hive?

Miner reports 340-350Watt for 1 RX 470 and 3 RX 570 but wallmeter says 550-560Watts in total.

System is z270 mobo and G4400 cpu and 4gb ram.

Does hive only report GPU core watt consumption without paying attention other components onboard such as video ram and etc?

I set 1299 Mhz for all gpu and 930-950mV with DPM 5 and make 12.6Mh/s from the rig.

Should I set DPM more lower such as 2-3?

Thanks.
Always calc as this
(GPUs + MB/CPU/RAM/SSD/Risers etc. ~100w)+20%(at least)
example in your case:
(350W+100W)+20%PSU and other losses = 540W from the wall.

I can confirm 20 to 30% less than estimate from any calculator.

So diff increased but calcs do not catch up with new baseline I guess. This hurts. Bad.

On the otherhand it looks like Lyra2 is likely to be at least as profitable as ETH even if the calcs are %30 off.

Where do you confirm this. I get the exact same hasrate on the pool side as on the miner site.
Its the coin calculator sites that are off. That typical.

Nobody's questioning the pool/miner hashrate. At least not now. We're all talking about web calculators  Cheesy

Exactly what I meant. Calculator results vs real production.

What bothers me more is why I can see so many Nvidia cards mining Lyra2z. Does any of you use Nvidia rigs to mine Lyra2z coins? Isn't there a better algo for Nvidia?
I'm think because Lyra2Z keep NVidia cards very cold with little loss profitability vs ethereum. Now summer time and with electricity price we got the same. IMHO
Still makes me wander if they're not better off elsewhere like Neo, x16... Roll Eyes

i found a big problem, there is lucky to find blocks.

example for GIN coin at Angrypool, estimate block found is 9 minutes, but in reality, block found in 30 minutes - 1 hour. this is very unlucky
in this case mining lyra2z on nicehash more intrasting because we do not care what luck of pool  - we get paid for shares

But i dont know what wrong, mining MCT on gos.cx pool with 5x RX570 ( 15 MH ), and base on https://www.coincalculators.io/coin.aspx?crypto=mct-mining-calculator i got about 70 MCT per day. but actually i only got about 1.4 MCT/hour = 33.6 MCT per day. This is very huge different.\
Anyone same with me?

Yes.  See posts from the last few days about the same issue with coins using the Lyra2z algorithm.

But..
i switch to another coin and another pool
i switch to Gin coin with Angrypool, with 13 MH my rig, i got about 0.019 GIN based on https://www.coincalculators.io/coin.aspx?crypto=gincoin-mining-calculator. And i try mining about 1 hour, and i got 0.018 GIN. this is same with calculator.
1 hour? Are joking? It's nothing! Try discover how to the rewards are paid and for what.
Pool can find more blocks for this hour and you get a little more reward. I think that accordingly your conclusion may be incorrect

Yeah i know it
And i think i want to leave this algo, better ethash or CN algo for my GPU.

One hour isn't enough. Leave is for at least couple of days to get more accurate info.

Switching back to Ethhash and Cryptonight for Rx 5xx and Vega Rigs respectively...peace

1 week of being under 30 USD per day with 110 mh/s.
I'm playing with the idea of mining ETH on Vegas. Would you mind to share what miner is the best  choice on Ubuntu?
I've done CN coins and will get back my RX cards to mine them again (XMR-Stak) but with the low hash with Vegas (Linux) it doesn't looks like the best choice to go with.

I'm having the same issue of lower than expected earnings.  I suspect the issue is with the Lyra2z algo, not a specific coin or mining pool.  Last week, I started out mining GIN on Angry Pool.  Then, I switched to mining MANO on Gos.cx.  Now, I switched to mining XZC (which has a higher market cap) on Mining Pool Hub.  While the calculators estimated I'd earn a little more than 5 XZC per day, I've earned less than 3 in the last 24 hours.  I've had similarly disappointing results with the other Lyra2z coins on the other pools.  Maybe it's time to go back to mining ETH...

What does it mean that Lyra2z is a "chained algo" (Blake256 first round and Lyra2 final round)?  Is this throwing off the calculators?

I will start mining GIN with my RX rig today on Angrypool and will check yield on 24h. Lets see how off it will be than calcs. I will post results in the weekend. That rig was mining UBQ and if GIN yield is so low than what calc says I may go with ETHash coins again. But I like the low power consumption of Lyra2z also.
