Good news i done it  Cheesy

Now what about OC settings for my Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ rig?

What should be those settings?

Core Clock (Mhz):
Core State (Index):
Core Voltage (mV):
Memory Clock (Mhz):
Mem State (Index):

In a vierd way hiveos does not allow me to do that - setting core lower just sends rig to reboot.

try this settings for start :

core clock : 1100 (start with 1100 and try to reach 1270)
core stat (index) : 3
core voltage : 930 (940 if you go over 1200 on core)
memory clock : 300

hiveos setup with tdx was easy, hardest part was toi understand that there is already wallet ready to use - just switch wallet addres and it works like a charm. seting core/voltage was a little strugle, but somehow i am getting 2x less coins than expected. I am doing right now test on one rig
8x sapphire rx 570
core 1275
voltage 1000 1025 975 1000 975 1000 975 1000
total usage from wall 1150w
~3.1mhs per card, ~25mhs total
accepted shares from miner  99.67%
pool shows no rejected shares

0.3gin in 12h
calculators show like 0.7gin in 12h

I have a feeling that boosting voltage a little or lovering core could help.
it seems that ram does not affect mining hashrate. i have setup ram on 2000mhz

Feel free to set memory clock (Mhz): to 300 mhz (it's not important for lyra2z). You will save some watts and temp will be slightly lower.

I don't like using linux.

You don't have to "use" it like in everyday use -- just install it, set it and forget it  Cool

I dont have any info about linux commands
I never installed any linux OS for now.
I think first i will have to install linux OS to My rig's hdd and install drivers and download this miner and make a .bat file ?

it is very easy right now with hiveOS
i can do it for you with a little donate

Does it work on a USB stick or we need to install it to miner rig HDD? A little guide would be good like me who have no idea for linux commands..

you just need a usb stick
install hiveos
run custom miner

ok thank you, i found a video guide for hiveOS i will follow that guide step by step.
I think i can do it.
There are 4 steps download, write disk image, connect to the rig and register.

Posting again because I guess no one else tried or reported back...

Has anyone tried this it is suppose to reduce power consumption. Didn’t know if any of you would have luck with it. I tired the first suggestion without luck and was going to see if the second suggestion maybe worked by the doctor aka tekcomm.

https://github.com/RadeonOpenCompute/ROCm/issues/463

The Doctor is working on that. We're all waiting for the true under voltage on all Vega rigs.

I get around 2.6 mh/s on my rx 470 cards, but only 1.1 mh/s on my gpu0. Any ideas?
Me too.. someone help me.PLs
Ok, I fixed this, by changing my cards on the motherboard to Gen2. Hope it helps.

Does anybody know why Ubuntu 16.4 gui works slow...very slow on vega rig ?
Needs 5 secs to open terminal. I started miner and it works fine though.
Do I need dummy plug or something maybe ?

Yes without a dummy plug this is the behavior you can expect.

Thank you !

Has anyone tried this it is suppose to reduce power consumption.

Thanks for sharing the link. I will test it and report back.

Again the second post in the thread is what I tried I didn’t try the second option as the first took hours of troubleshooting just let me know if power and performance actually become more efficient. With my tests the clocks changed but voltage and power consumption and performance stayed the same even though it indicated they changed... it was odd.

Looking forward your report. It looks promising I just don't really have time to mess with it right now.

Hello,
can somebody please help me. I spent three days and still can't get it work on my test rig (vega and 2 x 580)....frustration: level 1000
I have fresh ubuntu 16.04, ROCm 1.8.0 speed is set to GEN2.

Vega card works great but system/miner can't recognize my 580s if they are attached via risers...works fine if they are plugged in directly on motherboard.
It also works if Vega is connected 1x via riser and rx580s directly in 16x.
I tried to switch risers, completely reinstall ubuntu and rocm 1.8 drivers but 580s still won't work in linux via risers.
rockminfo/clinfo shows only one gpu (vega) but when I start lm sensors to check the gpu temp all three amd cards are displayed.

Any suggestions are welcome.
Thank you.

You can only mix RX and Vegas with all gen-3 mobo and cpu with atomics. Your best option is to build two rigs: one with rocm for Vega cards and another one with amdgpu-pro for RX cards.
Hope that'll reduce your frustration level  Cheesy
