I think there are no ROCM installed.
Maybe I'll try to install. Miner writes that he does not support the installed hardware.

Did anybody try latest ethos ?
It should supports vega linux overclock.

ethOS 1.3.2 changelog (released July 31st 2018)
Major Changes
Added support for Radeon RX VEGA: for all miners, overclocking, reporting, and mixing RX VEGA with other RX GPUs.
Added avermore ewbf-equihash nevermore tdxminer xmr-stak xtl-stak

TDX miner not working on the vega (1.3.2)

Why it is not working? What is the massage? What is the clinfo response?
It should work if they say so.
I am only curious what is the hashrate of ta stock Vega64 on ethOS? What kernel did they use? Is it slower than on 16.04 because I'm getting 29.5Mh/s@4xVega 64.
They say nothing about voltage control of a Vega. That is a pity for me.
I sinuously thinking about buying this OS but without good Vega suport will be a mistake.

Has anyone written a guide for mining with Vega56/64 ? is the process similar to RX cards of something special need to be taken care of with Vega?

Now the money is free, and so the people will be
You can set memory state to 0, which is 300mhz, that should work i think.
btw, people are shy on benchmarks.  Just put 4 gpus that needed a good cleaning on lyra2z since they were out their natural habitat anyways...well about 3.1-3.2/gpu 350w total for gpus.  Not pushing core clock too much, 1250-1325 but anyone here pushed their rx470s to 1400+? Im also quite sure its possible to get much more than 3 with a 470.

I use this settings :
sudo /opt/rocm/bin/rocm-smi --setsclk 0 1 2 3 4 5 --setfan 190 --setmclk 0 but it memory is still 945mhz
How to set memory to 167mhz...I thik that is the lowest possible.

It does not.  Requires the ROCM drivers, which ethos does not use.

Cool

Please could you do one for Vega 56?
Yes please !!!!

Neither volume nor memory size matters only the core frequency and the number of shaders

lyra2z - typical core clock frequency depended algo
And there is no difference what memory is installed on the card (Samsung, Hunix, etc.)?
no difference at all. pure core speed!
...which is why much higher hashing speeds should be attainable on nVidia GPUs currently... But for some reason nobody has bothered with (or wanted to share publicly) a properly optimised Cuda miner so far.

is it at all possible to run this on r9 290/390 cards?
thx for reply

Hi,
What hashrate has RX 470?
Is there any difference between 4gb and 8gb?
i beleive rx470 could give same as rx570 - ~3mhs on 100-120w from wall per card. rx580 give 3.2-3.5mhs 100-120w from wall per card. like for example 12 card rx580 takes 1350w fro wall. I have found max working core speed for each card. Every card is very differenet, from 12 xfx rx580 some are mining on 1300mhz 850mv, some only 1160 same voltage on core.

And is there any difference between 4gb and 8gb? Or hashrate is approximately equal?
