Its latest ROCm and Ubuntu 16.04. It works fine on my rigs with installed cards in big PCIe slots. But whenever I tried to run it with USB risers, it does not see the cards in ROCm, so TDXminer will not work. No error, nothing, simply doesnt see the cards. Thats why I asked how he made it working even in the smaller PCIe slots with the USB risers.

When you say you can't get it to work, is there any error message? Also make sure you use the latest ROCm version and Ubuntu 16.04.x.

How much cards per rig do you use? Have problems with 8 cards, but with ethminer - ok.

The max I have is 7 RX Vega cards per rig. The power supply I use doesn't have enough SATA power connectors for 8 risers. I would have to disconnect the SSD in order to be able to connect the 8th riser. However, with 7 cards everything works great. I assume it would work as well with 8 cards if I had enough SATA power connectors.

I would like to know that too. I cant get it to work with USB-Risers. It only works with direct connection to the big PCIe slots.

How you did it ?

my cards working only in big pci-e slots via risers.

Yes, this is correct -- tdxminer on Ubuntu utilising RX Vega cards.

RX Vega still works better on Lira2z than on CNv7  Smiley

lyra2z is loosing rank in profitability.
move to ETH again?
any advice?

I switched today ;( i feel so bad, it was crazy but now that's finished ...

becouse its small market and too mutch people promoted miner, like always.

now its worthless.

Its sad, now ETH earns more than 95% off shitcoins, it will be really bad when asics comes into market.

Posting again because I guess no one else tried or reported back...

Has anyone tried this it is suppose to reduce power consumption. Didn’t know if any of you would have luck with it. I tired the first suggestion without luck and was going to see if the second suggestion maybe worked by the doctor aka tekcomm.

https://github.com/RadeonOpenCompute/ROCm/issues/463

I tried all this with no luck... Open CL still doesn't work... tried the v5 image, 16.04 ubuntu, and 18.04 ubuntu installed to a hard drive.

I tried some time ago without success. Yesterday received new files from developer. Can't test it now. You can try

For v5 if you install it here is the install of the opencl & drivers

Good news i done it  Cheesy

Now what about OC settings for my Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ rig?

What should be those settings?

Core Clock (Mhz):
Core State (Index):
Core Voltage (mV):
Memory Clock (Mhz):
Mem State (Index):

Try this :
Core Clock (Mhz): 1270
Core State (Index): 3
Core Voltage (mV): 930~940
Memory Clock (Mhz): 300 (or 600 if you notice some hashdrop)
Mem State (Index): leave empty

Why we need to decrease the mem. clock ?
Lyra2z isn't a memory-bound algorithm, so reducing memory you can save some power.

Thank you.
