Struff lost to Tiafoe but it was a very close match, this will be Struff's first ATP title if he can beat his opponent, he played pretty well only his opponent played even more solidly despite the pressure from the crowd that was on the German's side.
Prior to the finals, both have met in two matches. Each have won a match, and this made winning prediction hard. Somehow based on the player statistics Struff had an upper hand against Tiafoe. Finally Tiafoe made it in style with two deciding set wins. Missed the first set 4-6 and fought back to win the other two sets 77-61 710-68. With this he had recorded his third ATP Singles title and first grass court title.

Yes, Struff played really great. He started well and Tiafoe was a bit better in the decisive moments. Otherwise he would have won his first ATP tournament. So far he has tried it 200 times. But if he keeps playing like this he will win his first tournament this year. I am curious to see how he will perform in Halle.
Struff to play against the Russian player Roman Safiullin. Here Struff have got the higher winning chance. We will see close fights from the round of 16 as the young strong contenders will get slotted against each other. Though the match is a lose against Tiafoe, he could've got some boosting for the upcoming tournament. In that manner I'm expecting better performance from Struff. Lets see what happens?

my bets:

Daniil Medvedev - Marcos Giron

Daniil Medvedev, who currently occupies position number 3 in the ATP ranking and who in the past has already occupied position number 1 in the ATP ranking, has been doing a good campaign in recent months, on the other side we have Marcos Giron who currently occupies position number 57 of the ATP ranking, but last year he managed to reach his best career position which was reaching position number 49 in the ATP ranking. well, the difference between these two athletes is very big, so I bet on Daniil Medvedev's victory

Alexander Zverev - Dominic Thiem

Alexander Zverev who currently occupies the position number 23 of the ATP ranking, but he in the past he managed to reach a better position than this current position, he had a serious injury 1 year ago while on the other side we have Dominic Thiem who currently occupies the position number 89 in the ATP ranking but he was in a better position 3 years ago, he comes to this tournament looking to conquer a good position and he also had a serious injury in the past, in my opinion Zverev will win in this game

Andrey Rublev - Yibing Wu

Andrey Rublev who currently occupies position number 7 in the ATP ranking but who has already reached position number 5 in 2021, he won the ATP Monte Carlo in a final against Holger Rune, meanwhile on the other side we have Yibing Wu who currently occupies the position number 64 in the ATP ranking, but which has already managed to reach the position of number 54 in the world. anyway, for me the winner of this game will be Andrey Rublev

berrettini retired from Queen's Club Championship! The former winner of Wimbledon has not been able to play this tournament.

He never won Wimbledon - he lost in the final against Đoković.

You are right, I made a mistake while writing my post - finalisti and not winner (and at least for Italians he has won Wimbledon Roll Eyes ).

Of course Djokovic Is absolutely a favorite in this tournament but I will always take a look in younger player or some outsider. I Will not surprised if there Is a surprise this year Wink but lets see, It would for sure a great show as usually

He never even won any Grand Slam (and most likely never will).

Djokovic' on-grass win rate is at 85.83% and then from the active players who are going to play Wimbledon the next one is Bautista Agut with 69.59%. After that come Gasquet and Kyrgios and considering how strong Djokovic is right now, he is well set to increase his GS title count further this year. I guess only some kind of black out could stop him.

I know right? Those are the argument which some people who does not have any idea about things generally make too sure that they know stuff. Even if they necessarily don’t. It is even though he was really in an unfavourable position, he was still victorious by defying the odds. I was actually surprised to even see that he has a fitness event at this late stage of his career.

Yes, he did not win. I am not very much into this, but I also don’t know the specific reason for him to retire. I was googling about him and it was actually a little surprising that he decided to retire at 27. I know that he had suffered a lot of injuries. Can anyone tell me how severe was the date problem of his injuries that he had to retire so early?

Congratulations to Andy Murray on winning the tournament in Nottingham!

Andy Murray won the Nottingham Open for back-to-back grass-court titles to maintain a perfect Wimbledon build-up.
A week after victory in the Surbiton Trophy, the 36-year-old hoisted more silverware with a 6-4 6-4 victory over France's Arthur Cazaux in Nottingham.

It's great to see that Andy Murray, after so many injuries and after not playing for so long, is not giving up and is still trying to play at the highest level. After this victory, he will enter the top 40 tennis players in the world.
His biggest prize will be a performance at the upcoming Wimbledon, although his chances of a big result at Wimbledon are probably very small.
I wonder how long we will see tennis masters like him or Nadal on the court.
Much expected win. This have helped him move few ranks high on the world tennis rank list. Young players are dominating the court and it is really hard for him to win more matches. However his thoughts and staying positive at this age with much of injuries and recovery breaks shows his love to tennis. A good win and congratulations. I'm not sure how it happened, but it was said that the kids of Andy Murray have come to the match to give him a father's day support and wishing him the same. Really great!!!

I am glad for Murray he won but I don't think he has any chance to win Wimbledon; he can win a couple of matches but that will be it. Yes, he has 10 victories on a row on grass, but against unknown and low ranked players. I just checked and the highest ranked player was nr 69... We will see in the Queen's tournament what he can achieve as also more top50 players are playing there.

Bad news for him and all supporters. It seems the player has hit a loong streak of defeat and retirements.
Now he is at 34 place in ATP (last place was 21th). I think this an interesting data for all gamblers.
First of all, he is now in bad shape so it's could be interested bet against him.
Secondly, when he will come back to play as usual, this can be a bargain chance...
But... we don't know "when"... so let's wait.
Interesting fact Roll Eyes (like we have seen with Tsitsi)... he starts to play bad after he has get officially linked to "Melissa Satta" a famous italian starlet.

Yes great win by Andy and he got it done in 2 sets as well.

If you aren sure how it happened, Andy has found some tournaments which align
with his level of tennis and capabilities and thats Challenger level. I think
he said somewhere very recently that all he wants is to win tournaments and has
realised that its not going to happen on the ATP circuit.

Some people are talking him up a bit for Wimbledon because he has won bact to
back Challenger titles but he need favourable draws to get through the rounds.

Big congratulations to Murray. With all the problems that he is facing, he has certainly done very well. I believe a lot of people didn't expect him to achieve this success. A lot of people probably also think that he did not face too many hard opponents. But the opponent that he faced are not bad at all. I said this because I was having a conversation about this with one of my friends and he said that Murray did not face Alcaraz or opponents like him. But I could understand that he does not have a good idea about things. He is right that Murray did not face Alcaraz but he did his due diligence to win the tournament. At this age, it is a big achievement.

It was a tournament challenger so how could he possibly face Alcaraz, and even if he faced the young tennis player there would still be opportunities especially on grass which is not the favorite of the Spanish player, and what Murray got was a way for him to get back fit, at Wimbledon later he still has a chance because he is pretty good on grass, his only real enemy is when injuries come back to him which can ruin all his struggles.

It seems that the Greek track has found the connection with the world top after all. He has beaten very good players more than once this year. Van Rijthoven was unable to defend his title in Den Bosch this year, but it looks like things just went in the right direction for him last season. Greek track seems to be someone who is ready to attack the world top. It was a nice final with 2 players who can serve very well on grass. And now we go to Wimbledon, where the holes can be served back into the court. Cool

Tallon Griekspoor track has caused quite a surprise with his victory at the tournament in Rosmalen. in the final he was also placed higher than his opponent Thompson, but he showed a good level there too. It is strange that last year a Dutchman also managed to win this tournament. Tim van Rijthoven won Rosmalen, then reached the eighth or quarterfinals at Wimbledon, but managed to win a set against Djokovic. After that we never heard from van Rijthoven again. In that respect, it is a lot more stable with the Greek track, who immediately enters the top 30 in the world thanks to his victory. A great year for him.

Tiafoe won the Stuttgart title, defeating Struff in three sets: 4:6, 7:6, 7:6(10:8 ) . Struff gave his all but it was not enough.

Congrats to Andy Murray, first (challenger) title in a long time! Hopefully he stays injury-free and in good health until Wimbledon.  Cool

So, my Stuttgart prediction worked and there will be a Tiafoe v Struff final. Against all odds, I think Struff is going to win the title. I won't be betting on this match though, it should be pretty close and it's a risky bet.
Seeing how Struff was able to beat Hurkacz who was pretty solid on serve, it seems he didn't have a chance to break Hurkacz's serve but he was patient enough to wait for the opportunity to come and was able to finish well.
Only putting a very small amount for the final, I think the same as what you think Struff has a chance to win @ 2.09 money line on struff, but Tiafoe is also quite impressive in this tournament, so so the odds are 50/50 for both players.

Great performance from Struff so far this year. In Madrid he was surprisingly in the final and had a good performance against Alcarez. And also in this tournament in Stuttgart he came back many times and deserved to reach the final. I also think it will be a close match against Tiafoe.

Yes, it will be close, Tiafoe is slight favourite I guess from being seeded in 3rd spot
but my bet is on Struff @ 1.97 based obviously on his performance and being
the "home player".

Over at Nottingham, Murray already has the first set playing Casaux, he should
win this really. It must be a treat for these challenger players to be playing a multi
GS winner and former #1!
