Zverev vas a favorite against Ruud yesterday, the odds are now almost equal. Means that people are betting on Ruud - which makes sense IMO.

I went with Ruud immediately, and am really tempted to go with a 3-0 Alcaraz win.

Swiatek is a huge favorite in the final, but I do feel that a +6,5 handicap is a bit too much as well. Probably won't be betting on it though.

Sabalenka's unforced errors was the deciding factor alright. I'm not sure Muchova
will pose a bigger threat against Swiatek than Sabalenks herself would.

The odds for the final on Swiatek are not great, she is overwhelming favourite and
I suppose rightly so.

Mens semi final day today

Alcaraz v Djokovic, I have a small wager on Alcaraz with not bad odds 1.47

Ruud v Zverev is pretty even, I really dont know how to bet on this, I would probably
go with the favourite Zverev - thinking he has made a massive recovery on clay
at Roland Garros and has found his confidence

Haven't watched the match, but both the women's semifinals were good match. Swiatek have somehow made it an easy win than the other match between Muchova and Sabalenka. That was real fighting, because the first tie breaker won by Muchova and the set is won. The second set turned to be hard as the first set and finally went into the hands of Sabalenka. Third set too the same and it was won by Muchova. The expectations were the first and the second seed to be on the final. Muchova have did her best and I believe the final will have the same level of competence as this match were the points were 77-65 65-77 7-5
Muchova did her best and was also helped by Sabalenka's many mistakes, especially in the third set where she made two double faults in a row when she had the chance to close the set and make it to the final, and Muchova appeared more calm under pressure when she was already behind and turned things around so well.
Haddad Maia put in a good game too but unfortunately, she is up against a player who at the moment might be considered the queen of clay so it takes more effort to beat Swiatek.
With the women's final between Swiatek vs Muchova, the match in the final might be different except that Muchova was able to do just as well in the semifinals and knew how to hold Swiatek down because Swiatek also made quite a few mistakes against Haddad Maia.

Iga Swiatek's age, which is still 22 years old and how she is at Roland Garros, will give her a great chance to become the women tennis player with the most French Open titles, injuries will be the main problem in her career.

Sabalenka turning it around and looks like sure thing now even though result is not backing it yet. She started to simply overpower Muchova.

Tsitsi had no chance against Alcaraz and before we start to pile on him let's wait to see how Djoković will fare tomorrow. I feel like there is nobody on tour capable of competing with Alcaraz when he is on his best. First 2 sets against Tsitsipas he was simply unplayable. But if anybody can test him it is player like Djokovic, full of experience and tricks even when he is not in his best form like here.

Watching 3rd set now and she just gave it all away! Tiring herself out with powerful serves, but giving away faults and Muchova got a free pass now. Doesn't look good, but you never seem to know with these women's games, I guess?

I actually really need to find time to watch Alcaraz, haven't seen a single game in past 3 tourneys. I feel like I'm really missing out.

I had the same feeling while watching 3rd set but even first 2 sets were chaos as Muchova won a set what should have been won by Sabalenka and vice-versa so yea..this game was crazy from start to end.

Now , 3rd set ...from 5-2 , Muchova found a way to comeback and win 5-7 which is crazy and Sabalenka ran out of fuel just before the finish line.

Can Maia beat Iga ? I mean Maia had an awesome run until now and already proved herself and to us the fans , that she deserves to be in top 10 WTA. Currently she is 12 I think.

Iga beat the Brazilian 6:2, 7:6 and she will meet Muchova in the final. Sabalenka v Muchova was a real thriller though. After losing the opening set, Aryna gained momentum and seemingly guaranteed herself a place in the final but... she lost from 5:2 and even had a match point. Muchova had a medical issue with her leg(s) but Sabalenka seemed to ignore it and was just hitting out or right into the net all the time. I guess she conceded 50+ unforced errors if not more. There were several close-ups of Muchova during this and it was funny to see that look on her face (like WTF if going on here? What that crazy girl is doing? Grin) Muchova didn't win the match, Sabalenka lost it (or better say it was like a gift she gave to her opponent).
As to the final, I won't be surprised if Muchova will retire. In any case it will be an easy win for Iga.

Sabalenka made to fight, next casualty perhaps? I'm beginning to think to bet on Haddad now the way the women's seem to be going...

Ah damn, I see from my previous post that my predictive text left out the 'nt from would.

Tsitsipas needs to ditch his family from the coaching team, I seriously think they
are more of a hinderance than a help at this stage.

I know you buwaytress like myself and others have been let down by his performances
in the past so at this stage of a GS its way too risky to bet on him especially against to top guys.

I should have known that's what you meant -- no idea about players and their relationships with family/coaches... Djokovic I believe has had several, and Raducanu seems to have parted ways with a lot of talk surrounding it, but I never paid attention to that news. Maybe I should start?

But yeah, Tsitsi, I'm over him, to be honest. Would love to be proven wrong at some stage (as I actually like the guy) but I'm more inclined to put my hopes on other rising (youthful) stars -- a revival by 26 and powering on from there maybe? Hard to say.

Alcaraz managed to show an unbelievable performance against Tsitsipas especially in the first 2 sets. However if he becomes complacent as he was after the middle of the 3rd set, Djokovic wouldn't forgive this and he would send Alcaraz back home.

Djokovic can still have a psychological superiority to his opponent somehow even in times his opponent is better than him. Therefore unlike the betting odds the person I expect to see in the finale is Djokovic.

Casper Ruud - Alexander Zverev

Casper Ruud, who currently occupies the number 4 position of the ATP ranking, and who last year managed to reach the number 2 position of the ATP ranking, beat the following athletes: Elias Ymer, Giulio Zeppieri, Zhizhen Zhang and Nicolas Jarry and also managed to come out better than Holger Rune, he will be very motivated in this game, but his opponent is not a weak opponent, on the contrary this will be a very difficult game for Ruud to win. Alexander Zverev who currently occupies the number 27 position of the 27 in the ATP ranking that also arrived from being in the number 2 position in June last year, he beat Lloyd Harris, Alex Molcan, Frances Tiafoe and Grigor Dimitrov... being that his last victory was against Tomas Echeverry. in my opinion Alexander Zverev will win this game

Carlos Alcaraz - Novak Djokovic

Carlos Alcaraz, who currently occupies the number 1 position, did very well in this tournament, he had no great difficulties in beating his opponents and without a doubt his victory against Stefanos Tsitsipas was something that showed that he is in a good phase, and in this game he will having to play against Novak Djokovic who currently occupies the number 3 position in the ATP ranking and who was also in the number 1 position many years ago, Novak Djokovic also did not have great difficulties to beat his opponents. my guess is that Alcaraz will win this game

Disappointed play is common in some matches not just tennis so it would not be a good option to ask for their money back.
In tennis matches for the ATP there are many spectacular and interesting matches so you can choose which matches are very exciting or you can use more to bet on these matches.
There are a number of players that I always follow and watch when playing, I never even miss a bet.
Some of these players are Tsitsipas, Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and also Nadal.
They are my favorite players so far.

They are only individual opinions, and it is the counterpart to phrase that says "Master play paid the entrance"

In any case, I think that the Novak and Nadal list should be updated  Wink Be careful, I say it with the same enthusiasm, following them from the beginning.

Tremendous game between Swiatek andHaddad.  That tie break paid for the tickets Smiley
______

Muchova vs. Sabalenka paid for tickets throughout the year.  Cool

Watching this too. Honestly, spectators should demand their money back. It's been a huge disappointment so far: 6:1, 6:2 Ruud. Rune only showed some GS worthy performance in the last game or two.  Shocked

At least Rune ....
Maybe too young and too wild?
...

For what I have seen during my bets (I can't forgive Djokovic Rune win by young player) he is a talented player, but very "emotional".
it is not uncommon to see him shout or "provoking" opponents.
it is also likely a sign of his insecurity or need to mature.
This does not mean that he is not a genuine talent, and will probably be talked about a lot in the future.

Meanwhile Ruud is much more "cold" he has a very professional attitude on the field, and I think this can be an advantage in these matches.
Let's see the semi final, for sure it will be as usual a great match Roll Eyes
Almost every match looked like an easy win for Ruud, whereas Rune had great fight in every match. Particularly in the fourth round the match went till the fifth set against Cerundolo. Expected a comeback from Rune after Ruud leading 2-1. He won the third set, couldn't continue the winning. In the semifinals Ruud is the favourite against the three successive French Open semifinalist Zverev. Though Ruud is the favourite I expect it to be highly competing as the three time semifinalist will try his best to reach the final.

At least Rune was able to win one set. But Ruud had dominated the match and it is quite surprising why Rune performed so poorly. Maybe too young and too wild?

The semi-final between Ruud and Zverev will certainly be exciting. Ruud is the favourite as Zverev has not managed a consistent performance in the last weeks. But he is outperforming himself in Paris and it could be 5 tough sets.

In the semifinals for the women's section, it looks like the 1st and 2nd seeds will advance to the finals, Swiatek will face Haddad Maia who performed quite well by beating Ons Jabeur in three sets but facing Swiatek will be very different and I don't think Maia will be able to get through and indeed Swiatek will be difficult to defeat at Roland Garros.
If the prediction for the final is between Swiatek vs Sabalenka happen, I think this will be a tough test for Swiatek because Sabalenka has experience beating the clay specialist in big tournaments this year with the same surface, hope this won't be a final like last year which was easy for Swiatek through and before seeing Swiatek vs Sabalenka in the final both of them have to overcome their opponents first in today's semifinal match.

Yes, I generally agree. Swiatek v Haddad Maia is more or less clear, but Sabalenka v Muchova won't be an easy walk in a park for the Belarussian. Muchova is playing incredibly well at RG this year and has eliminated many powerful contenders. But my bet is that Sabalenka will win it in 3 sets and we'll witness a Sabalenka v Swiatek final.  Cool

Yes, Swiatek and Sabalenka will move to the finals. Previously Muchova in the Italian open lost to Paula Badosa in the earlier rounds. This time she had reached the semifinals, which is a good progress and can expect a good match based on the result of the first set.

In the other match Haddad Maia have won against Ons Jabeur. This could've boosted her confidence level and play better against the number one. In the previous tournament she had good record and lost to Kalinina in the quarter finals after a tough match that had two tie breaker sets.

Zverev won the match against Etcheverry. But it was a great performance from Etcheverry and he was really strong. Many people did not think that Zverev would get so far. After a mixed performance in the last few tournaments, he seems to have found his old form again in Paris.
Now he will play against Rude or Rune in the semi-finals.

Ruud is going strong, he has bagged the first set 1-6 and serving for the second 2-5.

Its great for him and great to get revenge from their last meeting, Ruud is a very intelligent
player. Will he be able though to beat Djokovic....if he beats Rune?
