Today at 1500 Medvedev will play against Ivashka. This year it is not going well for Ivashka. Medvedev should win this match.
My bet is just the opposite. I would take Ivashka @6 every time against Medvedev in this form @1.15. I still believe Medvedev will win, but it will be though and my serious bets are on Ivashka +5.5 @1.6 and Ivashka to take a set @2.8

Sorry. I was mistaken. The game between Medvedev and Ivashka starts now at 1615. I am curious whether your bet will be right.
The game between Basilashvili and Otte was at 1500. Here again the second set was interesting. Otte still won the first set. But in the second set he did not winning a point. So it was exciting in the last set and it was decided in a tiebreak.

Otte is improving every single day and his good serve again pulls him to a win. After losing the first set he was able to comeback to an amazing win. He destroyed Bashilashvili in second set and won the match in his own country.

Hell, there is just few players in whole world that managed to achieve that. He has at least semi-final on all grand slams which shows how versatile he is. I know I mentioned the whole big 4 but I feel that if he just did not have to contend with Djoković he would have won much more titles.

yeah, basically with top4, Cilic, Wawrinka and Del Porto were the ones that could win something

and Berdych, for example, was most of the time above them on ATP,  but you knew that he is below, and never competitive against top ones, but had constance to win over lower ranked players

in the end, Cilic ran over Bublik in two sets, or Bublik won over himself in that twelfth gem, and Finn is next

Cilic won 1 GS, but if he had been mentally stronger and more stable, he could have achieved much more in tennis.
I also had that feeling in his matches often but when you look at it from outside he achieved incredible things. He won grand slam in era of Djoković, Nadal, Federer and Murray. Kyrgios is back to his old self, playing one game perfectly with couple of very crowd pleasing shots and then arguing with that same crowd few games later and breaking the racquet.

Looking forward to see Cilic play tonight. He has a though opponent and this match should do nicely to see how good he will be on grass this season.

Well done to Kyrgios, I have stopped being overly interested in him
and wont bet on him. I didnt see the match but Tsitsipas is not
going well on Grass so far.

Yes, that was a good performance from Kyrgios. He will meet Carreño Busta in the quarter-finals. He also needed 3 sets, but played the second set completely without winning a point. A bit strange.

When Kyrgios wants to play he can be the best player in the world. But when his mind goes black he will lose instantly and not care about anymore in the match. This happened in his last loss when he lost the first set and didnt care anymore for second against Murray

are you following Cilic?
he was 5:0 down in tie-break, to win first set after all, than had clear situation in second set, to lose his serve on 4:3 with break, and Bublik is now again in match

had to put small bet on Bublik just for fun, @6 it has some value, especially if they enter tie-break in second set, than third is all open
I was watching parts of the match, but unfortunately only boring parts. They were both holding their serves quite easy in the games I followed and of course I missed all the drama and breaks of serve Smiley

Čilić struggling a bit in his first grass matches but winning them, which is most important. Bublik is a though opponent on grass, so win 2 sets is a good result even if it could have been a bit easier.

When Cilic plays, nothing is simple and easy  Grin
Cilic can win even the toughest matches against top players, and the next day he will lose a match to a much weaker player.
If you’re a fan of his, you really need to have good nerves and a lot of patience  Grin

@Trofo smart and I've been getting big heartbreaks from my outrights losing in finals (I'm looking at you, Tsitsi) so now I think my next GS outright will only be for a final appearance. The problem for me was I never did that anyway until damned Sportsbet did those freebet specials (every win gets you freebet). Think Osaka and Djokovic were the first two and they both happened to win, so ended up with really fat wins PLUS the freebets.

@Cnut237 @cryptofrka  Tsitsi yeah, stay away from. I've been banking on him quite a bit but stepped off the pedal during the last few tourneys to get to grips and see him more. His higher seeding/ranking hasn't really affected odds previous though, at least -- Nadal outright odds were incredible though, shame they've now adjusted back.

Tsitsipas is a very good clay player and nothing more. I never bet on him on other surfaces. Of course he has quality to get far on hard as well when he is in form but grass has never been good to him. Hell, he has 3 seasons where he did not win even a single match on grass and usually first round of Winbeldon gives really easy opponents to seeded players. Bet against him on grass whenever possible, works like a charm most of the time.

Agreed on Tsitsipas, his results on grass are mostly disastrous. He just lost easily to Murray who is still a decent player but can barely move and needed 3 sets to beat Benjamin Bonzi before losing to Kyrgios.
My plan will be to bet on the first decent player that will be paired against him.

Since July 2019 he has played 6 matches on grass in total, winning only against Bonzi and Stricker.

I'm still going to go for a surprise bet anyway for the winner and I'm going to wait for this for 10 more days. The name that is in my mind for now is Tsitsipas Stefanos

Personally Tsitsipas is one I'd stay away from. He'll be a high seed, so probably not very good odds... but his recent performances haven't been as good as his ranking. His record at Wimbledon is his worst of all the slams, and he's only once got past the first round there. He has the ability to do well because he's a great player, but I don't think his recent form or his Wimbledon record work in his favour.

Lol good to see he's back then, what happened to that decision about sanctioning him (I forgot the right word) after the abuse incidents in Miami? I thought they were going to sanction him or is that already finished.

Anyway, your Croatian got through pretty straightforward in the end Smiley Good for his confidence going forward.

Frankly, even if Nadal plays in the tournament I think that Djokovic would still win the tournament very comfortably as long as he doesn't have any problem like an injury. The betting odds are also confirming my opinion already. I'm still going to go for a surprise bet anyway for the winner and I'm going to wait for this for 10 more days. You don't often see that you can come back from a 5-0 deficit in a tiebreak. By the way, I once saw something about a match in which a player even trailed 6-0 in the tie break, and still managed to win it. If I'm not mistaken it was Jan Siemerink against Richard Krajicek. I think the great form for the players will only come when they step onto the court at Wimbledon. Then we'll see who's top. Nadal won Roland Garros without any problems, but I don't give him much chance at Wimbledon. The Russian and Djokovic are normally the favourites. These tournaments now are for preparation only.

Berrettini who is growing and growing into the grass court season, definitely one to watch
along with Cilic who plays Bublik tomorrow.

Draper plays Ruusuvuori tomorrow, the commentators on Amazon Prime recon it will be
a very close match there as Ruusuvuori is kind of under rated.

Berrettini definitely has a chance at Wimbledon, but he's fourth favourite, so I'm not sure there's a lot of betting opportunity.
I think there's a danger with Draper after his eye-catching win the other day that the press will start to get carried away and hyping him massively. There may be good opportunities to bet on him at Wimbledon depending on the draw, but this is only for so long as he continues to fly under the radar. It might be better for Wimbledon betting if Draper loses against Ruusuvuori, to lower his profile a bit and dampen expectations.

Well Draper lost today to Ruusuvuori in two sets so the heat should
come off him a bit now. I actually played one of my Micro bets on
Ruusuvuori to win @ 2.17 so that was nice.

Kyrgios and Tsitsipas are playing each other in Halle right now. Tsitsipas won the first set with 7:5. Interestingly, Kyrgios played two break points in the second set and is currently leading 5:2. It will probably be a total of 3 sets. I didn't think it would be that difficult for Tsitsipas.

A bet against Kyrgios in some way is always a viable option IMO...

There have been some news in the Spanish media recently that there is a possibility for Rafael Nadal to join Wimbledon. It is indicated in the Spanish News Agency (EFE) that the Spanish superstar started to practice already on grass court. When we take Toni Nadal's statements into account too it wouldn't be surprising for me from now on to see Nadal playing in this tournament.

https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20220611-toni-nadal-tips-rafa-to-play-wimbledon
I expected some news like that. As we were discussing previously he has a chance of winning all 4 grand slams this year and he will not miss it if he is able to stand on that foot. I don't know how good he will be but I expect him to fight his way far into the tournament trough sheer power of will even if he has some problems. We could see a long break from him after the Wimbeldon, especially if he wins it. Then he does not have much to play for until US Open.
