Well, there went my Murray bet, he couldn't even claim a single set (but it was so tight so okay) so well done to Zverev, he'll be the one to beat for Tsitsipas later on if they meet.

Ladies as usual always with the early shocks, I wonder now if Swiatek will ever make it to the top again.

Murray pulled out a good fight but in the end it was Zverev who won in 2 sets with 6-4 and 7-6. Even though the odds were nice, I wouldn't have placed a bet on him. Wasn't able to see the match, but if someone has seen it, how did Murray look ?

Murray fought, but Zverev too strong, that's how it went. Even if they had a 3rd set I think he would have won it comfortably.

Murray is lucky he even got to the third round of Indian Wells this time. I think he cant compete against top 20 players at all. I would never bet on Murray against Zverev honestly even if the odd on Murray is really juicy. Didnt see the match but the second set was close.

Yes sometimes inplay betting can be beneficial, I had Tsitsipas to win and wasnt
watching the match. Happy enough that he won.

I also had Fernandez to win, which she very nearly did but she missed out on the last
couple of points in the 3rd set tie break. It was a great match, have to say she
did well against Rogers' power, and well done to Rogers she is having a good run ATM

There were a lot of upsets yesterday, I had 4 losses with Pliskova, Rublev, Svitolina
and Fernandez.

@aoluain I was tempted to play a small wager on Tsitsipas winning the game, but I feared that he wouldn’t win due to his unpredictable form, and now I do regret for not taking a risk and wagering on his win. Also after reading the insights here on women tennis I no longer think of wagering on them, unless a proven champion emerges and who consistently wins the titles.

But as you have said, Tsitsipas has been inconsistent this year, and it's dangerous to put a bet on him, so it's a big risk specially if you go live betting, but the win is very good.

I do agree with the women's tennis, a lot of top seeds is gone as early as this round.

Rogers vs Ostapenko and then Badosa ver Kerber might be the intriguing match in the QF.

I had a lot of wagers on Tsitsipas this year and I dont think  I have made any Satoshi's
with him. Same really for the womens side of the tournaments, its a very open
game with a lot of upsets and potential winners.

I think even with the best knowledge it would be easy to pick a tournament winner
at the early stages on the womens side.

I also only managed to watch the first two games of the first set before i fell asleep, because it was already 1am here in europe, but until then Murray started quite well as he was able to win his service game and even managed to break Zverev for a 2-0 lead, but it also looked like that this was more caused by a very unfocused and sloppy start of Zverev. In his second service game Murray already had big problems to win it and it was deuce a couple of times if i remember correctly and i would guess that from this point on Zverev started to play more focused and aggressively and dominated the game. Still a good effort from Murray though.

I do think that Zverev is going to win, but odds @1.2 are not worth the risk of having Murray on his day, since there could be a lot of fire, if that happens

Absolutely to the point. I know Murray is expected to lose mainly because of his physical condition and well documented weakness to play successive wins after his recovery.

But maybe he pulls of one more win. And the odds for that are too good to ignore.

I see a some upsets both on women and men side.

Leylah Fernandez run has to end against the hands of Shelby Rogers. It was a marathon match, two hours++, but in the end in was Rogers this time on top, 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7/4). Swiatek was also booted out by Ostapenko in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.

In the men side Berrettini and Carreno Busta is also out. Zrevev won against Murray, but it was a very close match.

The top seed in the ladies side is also ousted, even 3rd seed Krejčíková and 4th seed Svitolina is out as well.

Kerber is playing and leading the first set 5-1 comfortably against Tomljanović.

Just shows how the side of the tournament is, the women are really unpredictable. When we thought that Fernandez could give us a good satoshis betting on here, she suddenly lose.

Fognini vs Tsitsipas, hopefully Tsitsipas can win this one in 2 sets to advance.

There was some upset in the making for this match, Fognini won the first set and the odds for Tsitsipas to win the game double. But I didn't bet on him, fortunately, he won the last two sets,  and the final score is 6-2, 3-6, 4-6.

We have the next match, Shapovalov vs Karatsev.

I think this will be interesting match? ML is very close:

Shapovalov - 1.75
Karatsev - 2.10

I wil go with the underdog here, I know it will be tough for him to win against Dennis, but lately I'm watching Karatsev and it seems he has days wherein he really play superb tennis against anyone.. So ML for him.
Congratulations your bet wins, Karatsev win 2 sets straight.

Watching Medvedev vs Krajinovic match the second set became very tight, Krajinovic had a chance to take the second set but Medvedev was able to break hisc serve and had to end with a tie break and he finish it well.
Rublev lost to T. Paul in super close games, and the last match of the day Norrie vs Agut in the third set Norrie lead 4-3.

Thanks mate.

Surprising to see Rublev lost though to Paul.

I have Khachanov vs Busta-Carreno in over 23.5 @1.96. I'm seeing a 3 setter for this match.

Both are playing good and it's hard to decide who are going to win in ML as it is very close.

Khachanov @1.95
Busta-Carreno @1.82.

Isner is out, so Sinner is already qualified for next round

Medvedev had issues in second set with Krajinovic, but won the match, and he will probably easily reach finals, since there is no top contender in his draw part

Well done to Karatsev, Shapovalov has gone off the boil lately, I was going to put a bet on him
but Karatsev has been doing well lately so I didnt know.

I also didnt know about Paul v Rublev, I had Rublev to win. That was an evenly matched game.

I had Pliskova to win also yesterday but Haddad Maia made a big upset by winning in 2 sets,
she was a lucky loser to qualify and a big underdog. I have not heard of her before, well done to her.

My bets for today are Zverev, Tsitsipas, Fernandez and Svitolina.

i agree with you, i think Karatsev can win this match especially because Shapovalov's performance is really bad in the last few months, i don't know what happened but he can't keeps losing and i didn't see him in any of the big tournaments on advanced rounds, Karatsev could this match, he's the favorite one for me despite the odds.

The match is very close in the first set, Karatsev leading though 6-5 and serving for the match.

But Dennis Shapovalov is fighting back and trying to make it 6-6 and force a tie break.

However, if Karatsev won the first set, I don't think that Shapovalov has enough strength to even the score. He is very inconsistent like you have said, probably it's more of a mental aspect for him.

Murray is not having enough matches for odd on him to be good

Playing a lot of matches in quick succession does seem to be his biggest problem. This might be mitigated a bit because these aren't best-of-5 slam matches, but still, with each round it will get tougher for him, regardless of opponent.

Good points!

He still has the talent but its, fitness, movement and flexibility which catches up
with him, I cannot see him passing Zverev.

Just watched Schwartzman v Evans, entertaining and was looking like Evans would
do an upset, he took the first and was close for part of the second but Schwartzman
took the third 6-0.

Schwartzman is really consistent for his level IMO
