ATP Washington semifinals will face:
J. Sinner vs J Broosky
K. Nishikori vs. M. McDonald
My prediction is that Sinner and Nishikori who will advance to the final bet on these two players to win the semifinal match.
1.54 for K. Nishikori and 1.69 for J. Sinner.

After this tournament there will be two ATP Master 1000s, and Federer has confirmed that he will not be participating in either tournament source

This is how I see the semi finals playing out and this is how I'm going to bet too.

Sinner is one of my favourite players and I like Kai Nishikori too, he is such a
fighter and is always positive, I would be happy for either to win the final, not sure
which way I'll bet though. Lets see how they get on today!

Federer

He probably wasnt ready to get back playing this year and picked up an injury.

I like the Sinner vs Brooksby, both still in there teens', Sinner at 19 and Brooksby 20 years old.

So we are like witnessing a Jr, ATP here, and I'm also leaning towards Sinner here, has the better experience and has been tested many times before.

Nishikori though seems to be have sort of second wind after the Olympics before he is performing very well and this is his first final appearance after so many years.

Break even for me on the last game, lost on the Opelka vs Millman but just one point but bounce back on the Sinner vs Korda.

I guess Nadal injury is not fully healed or he just having a bad night. So yeah, something is wrong with him, I don't want to say that age is catching up, but probably his body is not responding as it used to be with the gruelling matches that's why his having a difficult time in his last 2 games.

I think both things happen to Nadal last night against Harris. He probobly was injured or wasnt feeling well. Plus made so much unforced errors the entire much and gifted the win to Harris. Even against a bad Nadal you need to be on your top level and Harris dominated most of the match

Yes, I checked his social media and he admitted that he still feel some pain on his foot.

Harris and Nishikori is playing right now, second set already, Kei won the first set, but Harris is fighting back in the second and need to tie the score 6-6 to force a tie break and keep him in the match.

A little bit tricky on Sinner vs Brooksby in the semis, both are playing very good in this tournament. I haven't made up my mind on who and what to bet on this match for tomorrow.

I guess Harris didnt have enough strenght against Nishikori. Nishikori won in straight sets easily against Harris and will play McDonald in the semi finals. In this tournament Nishikori’s path to the title is straight opet. We can see him win this tournament easily

After all those surprises yesterday I am sort of expecting a day when favorites get the win. Can't have surprises every single day, right? I took Sinner and Brooksby to win in straight sets for small stake. Don't have much faith in their performance but they have to step up and use this situation when all seeded players are out. It doesn't get easier than this to win ATP 500 title.
Yes quite a surprise yesterday but i managed to get a win on haris because after the performance from nadal in the first game against sock i ve seen that something is not right with him and today i hope we dont have surprises i made a bet on sinner to win 2 0 i was a little bit afraid of the other game so i did not bet on it.

A couple more interesting match up's today with a couple of seeded players against
each other. Nakashima is favourite to beat Kudla but can Kudla again come through
against the odds?

Kudla v Nakashima- 3.15 - 1.34
Sinner (5) v Korda (12) 1.74 - 2.06
Brooksby v Felix AA (2) 2.31 - 1.59
Nishikori v Norrie (7) 2.13 - 1.69
Opelka (8th) v Millman (11) 1.53 - 2.45

Sinner vs. Korda is pick of the day for me. Should be cracking match and I expect it to go to third set decider so maybe I'll put little something on over games or Korda to take one set if odds get better later on. When betting against the favorites in tennis it pays to wait until start of the match. The odds often get much skewed much more as people pile they money on favorite.

Sinner is the slight favourite ML, @1.74 although this is already an attractive odds, I'm kinda leaning on the handicap -1.5 @1.90. But yeah, live betting is much better as you can see the flow of the match.

I actually dont like live betting, maybe im not used to it, the favourite at the start of
the match might win but if they are losing the first set the odds change to reflect that.

Well Kudla is on a bit of a roll and Brooksby did fantastically against Felix AA,
I watched that match and the shots he was pulling off were brilliant, Felix couldnt break him.
He is actually favourite against Millman, I didnt think that was the case before I checked.

US Open starts in a month or so, even if he was injured it will heal properly until then.

It has to be said though that Đoković is one of the worst losers in sport. He always finds some injury or whatever, I remember when he was playing in Doha and Lopez was kicking his ass taht he forfeited because he said that sand got into his eyes. Then when he lost last season he said he couldn't play properly because some holy man died in Serbia or whatever.

Don't get me wrong, he's probably going to retire as a player with the most Grand Slams in tennis. But when he loses, it was never because the opponent was better.

I agree for 100% and that's exactly the reason why I don't like Djokovic. Federer or Nadal will always admit, that if they are beaten cleanly, that there opponent was simply better. While Djokovic will probably win the most GS, he will never ever be the GOAT in tennis but that's another discussion.

I think if you talk about the term GOAT by now we should really distinguish between the player as a person and they player as a player. Some argue that Ronaldo is the GOAT in soccer, but really? If you look at his attitude that's not quite possible. If you look at his as purely a soccer player, maybe yes, even though I stick with Messi here. Same in the formula 1, same in tennis.

I am quite sure Djokovic will set a GS win record that might never be broken again for the next 100 years, but as a person he puts himself out there in a pretty bad light. But that is the same for Zverev (big time).

yeah, he missed his chances in third set, and then lost it in game 10
it was far from usual for Nadal to lose like this one, but we will see, does not have to mean that he is out of touch, maybe even could be better for him to lose on this tournament, to prepare better for US Open, I am not even sure why he played on this tournament, after all, could be part of training as well

Sinner has his chances to win Washington now

Sinner vs Korda the two young players who are also predicted to be great tennis players, I choose Korda to win this match, and this match will very likely last 3 sets.
It was not 3 sets in the end but it was more then enough for my over bet to go trough. I stopped watching when Korda got to 5:2 in second set since it was bet won at that moment and then I see he managed to lose that set. There was some nice points during the match and I think Sinner could go far in this tournament.

Same here, I thought it will be 3 setter, but bet already won so no complaints.

Anyone bet against Nadal? Harris just bet Rafa in 3 sets, it seems that something is off with Rafa, anyhow this is just a tune up tournament for him but he has to work hard as he is still rusty after a long time not playing tennis. Second seed, Felix Auger Aliassime is also out together with Norrie.

I didn't bet against Nadal on his match, but for sure it was a good odds (I can't remember it), specially if you bet on pre-game. I would agree that he hasn't recovered 100%, at least he should have won so shake that ring rust so that he will be prepared for the US Open.

Sinner vs Johnson  and Millman vs Brooksby in the quarterfinals. I have Sinner and Millman winning their respective match.

I don’t usually see Nadal get beaten so easily so there’s something definitely wrong with him, maybe some injury he may not have disclosed. Furthermore I expect him to bounce back strongly in the next tournament, because he’s yet one of the best in this sport.

The Citi Open are playing played like 1 am my time, damn, I won't able to watch the game and put a bet on it.

Opelka vs Millman might be an interesting game to bet though, I think it will be very close game between the two. Millman is the underdog, but I can clearly see him at least win 1 set and over 22.5.

Yes, the Sinner vs Korda match could be close as well. I agree with @Trofo's analysis, easy 3 setter over 22.5 as well for me.

Millman can win one set only if he returns the serves outstanding and that Opelka has a bad serving day.I see Opelka winning in this match easily. But Millman is a big fighter on the field so he wont give up that easily. Also i think Korda is playing really well and i like his style so he is the favorite in that match for me

Nadal needed 3 sets yesterday and barely scraped trough in deciding set tie break. Still a bit out of match fitness it seems. Best to skip betting on him until we have more data to go on.

Nadal might be a little rusty. He will be facing Harris next, another player that can pose threat on him and might go for another 3 sets.
I remember the first time he played after a long break due to Covid-19, losing to Schwartzman and it was his first loss to that player. My bet on his match against Sock went messy, didn't expect him to need 3 sets to beat Sock.
