Tsitsipas is more of a clay court player, but he should be at least going into the second round. Maybe a tough draw for him facing Tiafoe who is good at fast pace surface that's why he just blasted Tsitsipas here.

Roger was extend obviously, so I don't know if he can go into at least quarter finals in this Wimbledon. So yeah, an outright bet on him is a long shot.

Yes of course agree, if he ever wants to grow and go over the other greats,,, then he has to learn to overcome his psychological adversaries, but this is not always possible even at the highest level. He will bounce back I am sure.

anyone against the Williams sisters - and Ash Barty from here in South East Queensland.

I would have gone Osaka easily but we have to wait for HER to recover her issues,,, but I actually think Williams will go to at least last 8. Her strength is just almost incomparable to most of the other women there.

My pics in the Women's Tennis at Wimbledon are as follows:

All the Anastasia's (various spellings) Cori Gauff,  Jennifer Brady, the Pliskova's, Petra Kvitova,  Elena Rybakina,  Aryna Sabalenka,  Sloane Stephens - anyone against the Williams sisters - and Ash Barty from here in South East Queensland.

Pavlyuchenkova/Rybakina in the doubles too.

I've had some not too bad wins on these Ladies so far this year and I expect their wins to continue over the next few weeks.

Good to hear that Andy Murray won in the second round against Otte. It's a five setter, so it's gruelling match for him. He will be facing now a tough opponent on Shapovalov, so not sure if he can muster enough energy to win again.

Lots of good match in the third round, maybe it's time to bet and do some parlay betting here. Start with Djokovic and then with Rublev vs Fognini + Shapovalov.

For me, Alexander Zverev is also a contender for the title alongside Djokovic. Many games have already been interrupted, is it raining in London right now?
What you mean right now, it is always raining in London  Grin Sorry, had to write it since I really hate those rain delays. At least they have one stadium with roof so one match is always going on.

Zverev is my pick for the final from that part of draw. Tsitsipas loss did not surprise me much, he was never good on grass and Tiafoe is good player when in form.

Well Zverev is one of the main favorites for the semi final and final. Dominated today while all the other favorites struggled a lot. Federer could have lost in the first round if Mannarino didnt get injured in this match and had to retire. Federer wont make it long, his time is up

I do hope the Zverev can reach as far as semi-finals. I agree that Tsitsipas was not a surprised, it's not that he is not mentally prepared, grass is not his favourite.

Nick Kyrgios vs Humbert match is suspended tied 2-2 and tied 3-3 on the fifth set. Interesting what will be the outcome of this match. Kyrgios has been out of the limelight for sometime and if I'm not mistaken this is his comeback tournament.

Kyrgios bearly won today after playing for 2 days against an amazing Ugo Humbert. Kyrgios is out of form clearly struggling a lot with running and everything and like you said this is his comeback tournament so he is trying to get as far as possible in this tournament

Camila Giorgi admired in Eastbourne should have no problem getting rid of the Swiss Teichmann in two sets. She won the first set without any problem and the total number of games will probably be less than 22.
Watching it live I can safely recall that it was a safe be for some small profit.

Being one who like women's tennis too I'd like to write about Serena Williams who's now almost forty years old, but she's always fearsome and boasts a formidable tradition in the London Slam, where she has triumphed seven times in singles. She'll try to reach twenty-four majors with another tennis legend, Margaret Smith Court, record holder in this special ranking. Serena's path will start with a potentially not too complicated match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich that she might win in two sets.

Unfortunately, She got injured so she withdrew in the first set.
Does anyone watch A. Barty vs C. Suarez Navarro? Navarro played pretty relaxed and well, unfortunately she defeated and it was an emotional farewell.

Tsitsipas losing to Tiafoe is a major surprise, yes. That's the problem with these new players contending for the top spots and Grand Slams. There is absolutely no consistency in their game, I don't remember Federer, Đoković or Nadal losing these kind of games. Tsitsipas didn't even get a set, these kind of performances are simply unacceptable if he wants to contest for the top spot and for the major prizes.

Đoković lost the 1st set but was dominant enough for my handicap to pass so thanks for that Nole Grin

Tsitsipas probably still really needed to recover from that previous major loss just a few weeks ago. That is indeed the difference with new players, no consistency, but I think,,, in his case it was a major mental drop. Like in football also if a team loses a final or gets 2nd in the league, the exhaustion causes a drop in form next season and I think he will need a big psychological reset to compete again.

I am considering a small outright on Federer, although I know it is too much to ask from him:)

Correct, Mannarino come back from 1-0 and won the next 2 sets. However, it seems that he over extended that's why he lost the 4th sets. Federer is a tad slower, it's obvious that his no longer in his prime.

Zverev won in straight sets, he has a good opponent in Griekspoor. It's just the first round, I'm sure there will be surprises coming.

Well she had to retire in the first set from an injury, she seemed to have twisted an ankle.

No offence to her but I would not bet on Serena winning another Grand Slam, the womens
game is very open, a lot of players have the potential to win and able to challenge and beat
Serena. I think I'm the only one who is vocal in saying Serena is past winning a 24th slam.

I agree, I think Serena has seen better days, many the competitive fire is still there, but his body is no longer responding that's why she got injured again.

She has been in the tournament for many years that the wear and tear are really talking a toll on her body. She didn't have this kind of approach that Federer and now Nadal is doing, carefully picking tournaments. She always wanted to play almost every tournament and doesn't want to skip that's why her body now is failing on here.

Andy was 5:0 up in third set, and managed to lose seven gems in a row, with 40:15 in two his serving gems, it is pretty unbelievable for grass tournament
nevertheless, he managed to get fourth set and pass through, but I do not see him to hold into second week in any way

I am happy that Murray is going through, but I doubt he will survive the second round (dependent on his opponent). I watched Murray play in the 4th set, his mobility is quite limited.

Federer is playing right now and won the first but lost the second set. In set 3 he is 2-5 behind. Watched some games and Federer made a lot of strange unforced errors (especially with his forehand).

Andy murray keeps trying to comeback to the big stage but failed many times. Yesterday he leaded in 3rd set 5:0 and lost 5:7 and then won the fourth set
But i dont know how far he can come if someone serious goes against him honestly

Thank you, I didn't know that much and haven't followed up enough. Today Federer is playing because I'm curious how fit he is and how far he will come, I think a win is rather unlikely.

I sometimes feel that we over estimate Tsitsipas a lot, and maybe he’s just yet not ready for this kind of pressure and it’ll take some more years before he becomes a legend. Also as far as Andy is concerned he’s looks to be in top form, and if he makes it to the semis then it’ll be considered a success for him, but I don’t expect him to win the title despite his recent form.

Yes I lost my bet on Tsitsipas yesterday I was really expecting him to get past Tiafoe.

Andy Murray did well to get through in 4 sets, he will be happy with that I just hope the 4
sets didnt have any negative consequences for him.

2 bets on for today, Shapovalov to win against Kohlschreiber and Herbert to win against Andujar

Djokovic lost first set, but he was actually late into the match, and when started he smashed Draper easily, it became a habit for him to lose first set and then start playing

I didn't know Andy Murray was still playing? He won his match yesterday in the first round of Wimbledon.

For me a very big surprise that Tsitsipas clearly lost in 3 sets, who should now prevent Djokovic to win the tournament?

I guess no one expected Tsitsipas to go out yesterday. I mean Tiafoe is one of those players that I always think to myself, why isn't he at least in the top 20 the way he plays. So far he just hasn't been consistent enough in his performances. Yesterday, however, he managed to play a complete game at a high level.
It's not good for the whole tournament in my opinion that Tsitsipas is already out as he was considered by most experts to be one of the most promising candidates to challenge Djokovic for the title this year. I don't think Federer can challenge Djokovic this year. Maybe Zverev, Medvedev or Berettini have a chance.
