Unfortunately, Konta wasn't able to maintained her momentum as she succumb to Strýcová. It was a good first set, and it looks like Konta has a total breakdown on the second and lost 6-1.

Serena bet Barty's conqueror, Riske. So a semi-final has been set between S. Williams and Strýcová. I will go with Serena here. On the other side of the bracket, Halep vs Svitolina, I'll go with Halep.

On the men's side, I think Federer and Djokovic will go through the next round. But Nadal will have a tough match with Sam Quarrey, who looks like had gotten this second win.
Konta played well in first set but she lost with tie break and make her mentality down.

I hope Riske can win the match but but Serena proved her experience made her able to turn things around and win the match.

Hopefully in the women's singles there will be a new champion, for me it is too boring if Serena win the championship and make the match no longer competitive.
I have notice that this year it is gonna be more interesting for the audience but it is difficult for the players, I hope both the team will sustain somehow. I think konta will take Riske home open this time, as this year now young players are getting in teams who has allot of energy but the old player are getting more scores because of good tennis experiences.

Nadal doesen't look so good at the moment. He is loosing 2:1 in sets and break down in forth. Now he needs some exceptional tennis to turn this around but I don't think Federer will alow him an openning.

We should have a great final on sunday. Personally I am glad Federer will probably be in it. It is something special to see him play on grass.

Yes, Federer vs. Djokovic, another classic Smiley
Federer was better today but on the end both of them played great.
What a great final we can expect on Sunday! Smiley
Can't wait to watch!

Djokovic have some problems with Agut but he will win and play in ''another classic'' on Sunday with Nadal or Federer.
Djokovic was very good also in Roland Garros this year but didn't have luck in the match with Thiem.
I'm sure that Nadal would have much more difficulty in the final match with Djokovic than with Thiem.
Any way, I feel nobody can stop Djokovic here, on Wimbledon.
It's his year, definitely.

Djokovic vs Nadal will be a dream finale and I really wish Nadal beats Federer, and then goes onto beat Djokovic to win the grand slam. If these two meet in the finals I feel it’ll be another long match because of the passion these two have for the game. Though Djokovic will be fans favourite to win due to his record in Wimbledon, I’ll yet favour Nadal to beat him as I feel his form has been way better than Djokovic’s form in the tournament.

It will be closer this time, but I think Williams will dip into her back on tricks to get the trophy again. I don't think she has the pressure, what she needs to do is to focus and not be affected by the crowd and even the referee's call. This is big for her if she wins this year.

So Serena's biggest problem is in her who can't control herself when she gets things that are unpleasant from the outside.

As my previous post will be very good if there is a new champion and I see Halep has a very big chance to see from the way he has developed.

There will be many Tennis Legends present to watch this match to see if there will be a new history if Serena wins this match.

Serena won again and now she is just 2 steps away from the record- 24th Grand Slam won in the career.
I feel that only Halep can stop her now.
What do you think?

First Halep needs to get passed Elina Svitolina who has been in top form this tournament. I do think that Halep could be the one to knock off Serena Williams but every time it looks like Halep is going to beat her she ends up losing and as we know Serena is very good on grass so if they both make the final it will be a great match.

As I said, Serena vs. Halep in final Smiley
1 or 2 years ago I will be sure almost 100 % that Serena will beat Halep but now, after Halep won her first Grand Slam and got more experience in many finals, and became more stable and mature, I think chances are maybe 60/40 for Serena to win.
Serena will be under big pressure to finally win and make new record in the number of grand slams won, and also don't forget that she lost last a few ''big'' finals.

As expected, Serena Williams steam rolled Strýcová and reached another milestones, 11th Wimbledon singles final. The match was so easy for her that it took less than one hour to accomplished it, although Strýcová looks somewhat awkward and may have suffered a hamstring injury.

S. Williams will be facing Simona Halep as she won over Svitolina. Halep became the first Romanian to reach the Wimbledon finals, another great feat for her. Will be a tough one to call the finals for the ladies, but S. Williams has been showing some resurgence in this tournament and she still looks fresh as compare to Halep.

Yes this is going to be a great Wimbledon final as these two Women always put on a good match when they play each other. Serena currently dominates the head to head record 9-1, the thing is that in almost all their matches Halep has been in with a shot of winning but always fades away so hopefully this time it will be different and maybe we will see the first ever Romanian win a Wimbledon title.

I think Halep has to start with her best tennis from minute one. Serena has been a little unstable lately if opponent manages to get an early advantage. She started arguing with referrers and even audiences.

If Serena gets in her groove, she is winning this 6:4 6:4 without conceding a single break. I watched her a little and her serve is really enormous advantage on grass. Halep on the other hand will have big problems playing on her second serve.

only me that think kei can give federer a hard time? thinking of even betting on kei he got a chance i think.

Well, only if it's going to be a long and exhausting match in 4 or 5 sets.
In any case, Federer is a big favorite, especially when playing on the grass, the same as Djokovic and Nadal.
It seems that the fourth player in the semifinals will be Agut.

at first i thought it was going keis way but after first set federer woke up and smashed him lol , aye good job federer. thought me to never go against the goat lol.
Correct. And that is what separate the champions from the rest of the players out there. They have the ability to zoom in and focus, even after losing sets. Bautista-Agut is good, but I don't think he can win this time against Djokovic. This is big stage and elite players thrive on this kind of environment.

How good is Federer, I just love watching this guy play. He is simply the best player ever even if Nadal does happen to overtake him in Grand Slam titles because Federer has done it on all surfaces where as Nadal has won the majority of he's Grand Slams on clay so I rate Federer higher then Nadal when it comes to Grand Slams. Federer also created more history at Wimbledon winning he's 100 match and he becomes the first man to win 100 matches in a Grand Slam tournament which when we think of it is an amazing achievement. We have an exciting semi-final coming up with Nadal v Federer, can Federer make another Wimbledon final or will Nadal spoil Federer's chance to win a 9th Wimbledon title.

Bautista Agut vs. Djokovic- it will be very interesting match.
Agut already won Djokovic twice this year, in Doha and Miami, can he beat him again?

Don't think so, but maybe I will take some handicap on him if bookies set the nice the odds. Even than i would be careful since Djokovic is looking to
be in good from beginning of this tournament. That being said all 3 favorites really played well this season in Wimbledon as predicted before when we discussed who could cause the upset and couldn't find a legitimate candidate.

So we will see an epic semi-finals for this years Wimbledon. It will be Federer vs Nadal, winner facing Djokovic vs Bautista Agut. Who you guys think will win this match? Federer lost the first set against Nishikori but dominated the last 3. While Nadal just steam roll Querrey which I thought will give Nadal a run for his money. I'm seeing a five setter between the greats, and I'm leaning towards Roger here and win in a dramatic fashion.

@Daniel91 - Yup Bautista-Agut seems to have the tools to bet Djokovic, so it will be a very intriguing match as well. But I will go with Djokovic here, he won't allow Wimbledon slip, this is a big tournament wherein the big 3 is on top of their game.

Nadal, Federer and Djokovic are all through to the next round. Nadal looked good in he's match with Tsonga who I thought might give Nadal a tough match but it wasn't to be as Nadal won easy in straight sets. Same with Federer who won in straight sets, Djokovic had to fight it out for the first two sets but won the remaining two easy. Its looking like it will be either one of these three in the final once again.

The top 3 are through to the next round as they won against their respective rival at ease, taking 3 sets. So they are now moving to the quarter-finals. Hard to predict as this three players are really playing high level tennis above the rest. Raonic lost though, but Sam Querrey won in a hard fought 4 setter match. Interesting to see how can he progress.

I think the curse of being the women's number one continues, as recent number one women's, Ash Barty have lost world number 55 Riske, 3-6 6-2 6-3. Riske will now face a resurgent Serena Williams in quarter-finals.

Yeah the top 3 look in very good form heading into the quarter finals, they won all their matches easily but now its coming down to the business end so we'll see how they go. Raonic lost an epic 5 set match after winning the first two sets, he was one player I thought could challenge the top 3.

Yeah its a shame that Barty lost but Riske does have good form against her as she beat Barty at Wimbledon last year I believe or it could of been the year before so for me it was no surprise to see this happen. Maybe its Konta's year to win her countries Grand Slam? after she fought back well to beat Kvitova who was no easy opponent.
