I will be looking for some value in this years Wimbledon as Federer and Djokovic are at short odds in my opinion, yes both play best on grass but I'm looking for a player on the rise that may challenge them and maybe even beat them. I was looking at Stefanos Tsitsipas but just not sure how he will go on grass, he looks to be a great hard court player but on grass he does look suspect. I really like Thiem but he struggles on grass, what do you guys think? who do you like to win Wimbledon besides Federer, Nadal and Djokovic?

Yes, the odds are really short for the two best grass court player we have right now. Stefanos? You know his he one of my favorites, so I will definitely look on him, yes he is seriously a good clay player, but who knows, maybe he can pull some magic in the grass and learn to love it.

Milos Raonic might be good as he reached last year's QF, if I'm not mistaken. Cilic and Nadal is also good but I don't know if they can go against the tennis levels of Djokovic and Federer in this tournament.

Edit: Just as I suspected, Stefanos lost already, too bad, it was a hard fought match though so I give him the props.  Sad. Probably a sign that there will be more upsets in the mens and ladies now.

Auger Aliassime might be a good long shot.

Well the upsets keep coming in the Men's draw with Thiem losing in four sets after winning the first set to Sam Querrey. At least two of the big names made it through the first round Nadal and Federer both won their matches however Federer did drop the first set in his match but then went on to win the match easily. Kyrgios is also through after a tough five set match against fellow country man Thompson. He must now face Nadal in the second round, can Kyrgios do what he did a few years ago and knock Nadal out of Wimbledon? I must say that Kyrgios does seem to play well against Nadal and has beaten him a few times before so he is in with a big chance to cause an upset.

Not only that Venus Williams is also out beaten by 15 year old Cori Gauff, it was a crazy first day that's for sure.
Considering Venus' age, I would not really call this an upset. She no longer has the legs to cover the fast surface of Wimbledon. It's nice to see new bloods taking out these veterans.

Some news before start to see Djokovic and Ivanisevic working together. Two big names, I recall when Ivanisevic once got wild card invitations and take the Wimbledon title that year.

I am not quite fan of tennis league games though I am playing tennis during my Junior years. However, I want this betting sports game to enter also. I just want to be familiar with the players of tennis. Because I don't know who are players of this league. Well, I think I am gonna speculate first before I bet soon.

Major upsets on the first day in the Men's draw with Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas out, this is why I didn't want to bet before the tournament started so I can get an idea on who looks good. I think I made a good call not putting money on Tsitsipas before the tournament as he was one I was loking to bet on for some value but now he is out. That isn't all, Osaka in the Women's draw is also out. Its the first time a world number 2 has been knocked out in the first round since Martina Hingis in 2001. Not only that Venus Williams is also out beaten by 15 year old Cori Gauff, it was a crazy first day that's for sure.

Wimbledon is set to start now so it will a great time to watch some tennis on grass. Smiley
Wonder if Andy Murray will make an appearance in his native Britan so he can retire during this tournament as he mentioned he would earlier in the year. Embarrassed

There have been some good suggestions and I agree with most, I think Raonic does have a chance at winning however the problem is that when he gets to the final stages of a Grand Slam he always lets him self down even when he is in the match. Anderson is another player that has a chance but again like Raonic he just doesn't seem to have the mentality to win. Nick Kyrgios does have what it takes to win a Grand Slam but he first needs to get his mentality right which we have been saying on here for over a year now. This is why we always come back to the big three Federer, Nadal and Djokovic to win every Grand Slam because the up and coming players just don't have what it takes right now to beat them in big matches. Wimbledon starts in less then 24 hours so I might watch the first round to see how the players go before placing a bet.

I don't think that Nick Kyrgios can win this year's wimbledon. I mean that guy has problems with his inner demons. So he can probably go in the round 4 and then collapse in big stage. Raonic could be a good bet, Stefanos  Tsitsipas is a clay court player.

I forgot about Raonic in my previous post, he can be dangerous on grass for sure but I am not seeing him as a winner. Depending on opponents he could go very far.

I don't agree about Kyrgios, he sort of has motivation problems against lesser opponents. If he gets to round 4 he will just start to be dangerous. Most of his best matches were when he played against top players.

I agree with your comment on Kyrgios, if he really wants to, than he can be very serious opponent for Federer and Djokovic. He will probably still fall short, but you never know.
I don't Thiem getting very far in Wimbledon, he is a great player, but he plays best on clay.

Congrats to Federer on another Halle title. He really surprised me with the ease he dispatched his opponents. If he keeps this level and he should he has a nice chance of winning another Wimbledon title. According to the bookies he is second favorite, first being Djokovic.

If Federer keeps this form, I think he should be top favorite to win Wimbledon. In Roland Garros he played very well and grass is his favorite.
I am also curious about Kyrgios, such a cool player to see  Grin. Extremely talented but can't keep his focus/motivatino and is really free playing most of the time.

This year will be interesting in Wimbledon. Djokovic defends this title Federer and Nadal can play in semis, but for some surprises we saw it last year.
But to see some prediction on possible 4th player for semis can all even Federar and Nadal can lose and Djokovic , but if I have to choose then maybe Thiem or Tsitsipas.

would be a epic final with federer and djokovic , think federer still has it in him to win wimbledon one last time, and against djokovic would be such a great sports moment and a nice ending to federers amazing tennis career.

We've seen it happen before that upcoming guys beating the tops seeds. Anyone with a huge serve is really dangerous on grass since the surface is very fast. Aside from Stefanos, maybe one of the taller guys with the fastest serves in the draw can win it all.

I would say Cilic but he if in horrific form this season so no chance of him going far. Kyrgios has the game for sure but his attitude is even worse than usual this season, didn't think that was possible. Don't know what is happening with Berdych as well, he is nowhere to be seen. Anderson is coming back from injury I guess so probably not as well.

Maybe Zverev has a chance, he got some semblance of the form in last weeks. Now you see why the odds on Federer and Djoko are as low as they are. If you add Nadal to them and maybe Zverev I am not seeing who else could even challenge them, let alone win.

Well Federer used to be a hot head like Kyrgios in his younger days and there's another one named Marat Safin. Both have won multiple major titles. Nick will have his time as long as he remains serious injury free.

Federer may have been a hot head in his young days, but I don't think he ever played so uninterested like Kyrgios. But Kyrgios does draw some attention and I like to see him play  Grin

That young fella just needs real focus on the game. He definitely has the tools. He just needs to use it well as he has shown in his past matches that made him rise through the ranks.

Congrats to Federer on another Halle title. He really surprised me with the ease he dispatched his opponents. If he keeps this level and he should he has a nice chance of winning another Wimbledon title. According to the bookies he is second favorite, first being Djokovic.

Federer looks like the main favourite for Wimbledon while Djokovic ignored all grass tournaments and preferred to have a rest.

Federer is the fans favourite to reach semifinal’s there’s no doubt about it, but at his age I don’t expect him to win Wimbledon. Djokovic is ranked number one for a reason, he brings his best games on grass and even Federer knows defeating him is very difficult. I don’t think taking rest was a bad decision he’ll be more fit and hungry for success now, I am going to place a bet on him for winning the tournament.

All the bookies see Djokovic as the main favorite to win Wimbledon, but Federer is still going strong at his age. His favorite underground is also grass, Wimbledon is his favorite tournament and I think 65% of the public will choose the side of Federer if he would play against Djokovic.

Don't know that she is into cricket, however, she has became one of my favorites in the women's side. This year was break out run for her. As far as Osaka goes, just like we have seen to those young players who have rank up pretty quickly, they did fall after reaching number 1. But let's hope for the best for her, she is still young though, maybe what is has gone through will make her strong mentally.

I think she has what it takes to stay at number 1 as she has a strong mentality. We have seen this on many occasions when she loses the first set is has always been able to bounce back and win matches so the winning mentality is there for her and playing cricket for a few years would of helped as cricket is a similar sport when it comes to batting as you need to have a lot of concentration and strong mentality.

And this is why women's tennis is also exciting as the men's. I mean the ranking has changed a lot in the last couple of months. Barty, Osaka, Plíšková, Bertens and Kerber are really going at each other for the last two or three tournaments. I think Barty's advantage though is her mental toughness as you have said, perhaps her early cricket training has something to do with it. Only few hundred points separates her and Osaka, so it Naomi wanted to take the number 1 spot again, she needs to show focus specially in big tournaments such as Wimbledon.

Yes I agree, since Serena Williams stopped being the dominate Female we have seen many number 1's which is good because it can get boring seeing the same person as number 1 all the time and that is why Women's tennis is in good shape as the young talent is rising to the top and winning Grand Slams. The same can't be said on the Men's side, we keep saying that we like to see the young talent win Grand Slams but they just can't get passed the veterans in Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. It doesn't look like changing either as all three Men have been in top form this year.
