Unfortunately, Konta wasn't able to maintained her momentum as she succumb to Strýcová. It was a good first set, and it looks like Konta has a total breakdown on the second and lost 6-1.

Serena bet Barty's conqueror, Riske. So a semi-final has been set between S. Williams and Strýcová. I will go with Serena here. On the other side of the bracket, Halep vs Svitolina, I'll go with Halep.

On the men's side, I think Federer and Djokovic will go through the next round. But Nadal will have a tough match with Sam Quarrey, who looks like had gotten this second win.
Konta played well in first set but she lost with tie break and make her mentality down.

I hope Riske can win the match but but Serena proved her experience made her able to turn things around and win the match.

Hopefully in the women's singles there will be a new champion, for me it is too boring if Serena win the championship and make the match no longer competitive.

Nadal, Federer and Djokovic are all through to the next round. Nadal looked good in he's match with Tsonga who I thought might give Nadal a tough match but it wasn't to be as Nadal won easy in straight sets. Same with Federer who won in straight sets, Djokovic had to fight it out for the first two sets but won the remaining two easy. Its looking like it will be either one of these three in the final once again.

The top 3 are through to the next round as they won against their respective rival at ease, taking 3 sets. So they are now moving to the quarter-finals. Hard to predict as this three players are really playing high level tennis above the rest. Raonic lost though, but Sam Querrey won in a hard fought 4 setter match. Interesting to see how can he progress.

I think the curse of being the women's number one continues, as recent number one women's, Ash Barty have lost world number 55 Riske, 3-6 6-2 6-3. Riske will now face a resurgent Serena Williams in quarter-finals.

Yeah the top 3 look in very good form heading into the quarter finals, they won all their matches easily but now its coming down to the business end so we'll see how they go. Raonic lost an epic 5 set match after winning the first two sets, he was one player I thought could challenge the top 3.

Yeah its a shame that Barty lost but Riske does have good form against her as she beat Barty at Wimbledon last year I believe or it could of been the year before so for me it was no surprise to see this happen. Maybe its Konta's year to win her countries Grand Slam? after she fought back well to beat Kvitova who was no easy opponent.

Serena won again and now she is just 2 steps away from the record- 24th Grand Slam won in the career.
I feel that only Halep can stop her now.
What do you think?

First Halep needs to get passed Elina Svitolina who has been in top form this tournament. I do think that Halep could be the one to knock off Serena Williams but every time it looks like Halep is going to beat her she ends up losing and as we know Serena is very good on grass so if they both make the final it will be a great match.

It seems that great a series of victories, which Gauff had on this Wimbledon, it's over.
She loosing 6-3 and 5-2 from Halep at the moment.
Can she makes another impossible return to the match?
Any way, I'm sure that she is a future big champion, maybe bigger than Serena.

EDIT: She lost, but also ASHLEIGH BARTY, no 1 at the moment, lost from Alison Riske.
It seems that Serena have now very good chance to finally wins Grand Slam.
What do you think?

Can that woman not win any more grand slams? She is already 37 years old and huge af. Shouldn't she now start playing some of the indie divisions to promote the game and leave the high stakes competitions for younger athletes? Besides, she is so intimidating to play against and her stature is so scary, I am sure half her opponents lose the game in their heads even before they play against her.

Just saw some highlights of Kyrgrios vs Nadal.
Kyrgrios keeps making my day with his behaviour  Grin. Was a quite close match, 2 tiebreaks also, which shows what a talent Kyrgrios has!

Yes, he have great talent but never made some great result consistent with his talent.
Obviously something is missing, either will, perseverance, severity, or something else.
It was considered that he could replace three giants of world tennis, what a pity.

Right, he had the potential to be on the top 5 or top 3 if not for his attitude and mentality towards the game. He is branded as the bad boy of tennis, and true to be told, he acts like that.

He is very inconsistent and very unpredictable. But I will throw may hats onto him for giving Nadal a good match though, was close but not enough.

Kyrgios performed really well against Nadal, but the way he did his usual melodrama was a turn off. He’s such a talented player and he should let his racket do all the talking, instead he indulges in melodrama in the court which resulted in his defeat. Nadal too wasn’t pleased with the way Kyrgios acted, but he buried it which shows his maturity and love for the game.

He only need to stop arguing all the time and to stop provoking players. Then if he can do this, but think he will not cuz its not in his nature, could he become great player even top player in the tour.

I think he should include a good psychologist in his team, someone who could help him in psychological preparation before important and big matches.
Everything else he already has, both talent and quality but he is not yet psychologically ready for great things.
''Big three'' Federer, Nadal and Djokovic are the best because they can control their mind and emotions and their focus is 100 % on tennis.
I don't see that young players like Kyrgrios are ready to replace them.

For every gambler any game he is playing he will have to hold his emotions and he will have to work for it to get knowledge about game, being emotional or to lose your temper is worst things for player, so it needs proper counseling and make sure he don’t repeat mistakes in future, all players you have mentions are surely good player and all of them has good gambling record.

There is an interesting match coming up in the Women's draw with the up and coming 15 year Cori Gauff facing Simona Halep. We will now see how good this young talent is as Halep is not an easy opponent to face as she never gives up. In the Men's draw Berrettini will face Federer who could give Federer a good challenge.

Yeah kyrgrios ability will  surely  put him on top if he will change his change his attitude particularly on his focus and mind game because he is still  young and great athleticism, but  sometimes attitude matters, top caliber player like Nadal is more on focus and determination.

Indeed Kyrgrios really did better on their match and he showed a lot of potential that he could beat Nadal in the future. As the day goes by another skill development will be on progress with him so he could establish his good moves.

Today think we could have some interesting match.

Tsonga J-W. -  Nadal R.

This match can be played in 3 sets and in 5 sets, so this match can be played long.
