Kyrgios v Nadal match lived up to its expectations but Nadal couldn't pull it off Sad He played bad and he admitted it after the match , this kind of performances won't be enough to win the US open Sad Hope he comes back stronger .
Exactly. I have point on that, Nadal is not super superior like he was in the past or like he was this year on clay surface. But this could be good for him, he will be more fresh and better prepared for US Open.
Grigor Dimitrov is first finalist of this year Cincinati Masters. If Kyrgios beat Ferrer in second semi-final match we will have two players fighting for first Masters title in their career. Ferrer has one but it was back in 2012(Paris indor Masters).
Actually Hard court is not the kind of surface with this Spanish player to play superior, but I’m still hoping that in the end he will be tossing his US open grand slam trophies in Arthur Ash stadium. Rafael Nadal dominance in clay surface is the evidence of how focus player he is, but most of all he is comfortable in clay surface. But in the tour there are two hard court surfaces grand slam tournament that he should seek dominance for him to prove the he is a great and versatile player.

The final of the Cincinnati tournament is Kyrgios vs Dimitrov. Both are at the first career final in a 1000 master tournament.
If Kyrgios wins the final he will make his best ranking atp (12th).

I just heard on TV an unofficial news that Roger Federer has withdraw from Cincinnati Masters. On yesterdays match commentator noticed that Rogers first service is much slower than usually and that it looks like he has some problem with the shoulder. Since US Open is very close, resting would be good decision.
Its official now , he withdrew from Cincinnati and therefore Nadal is the new no.1 . Who would have expected this ? I just hope he will be fit and fine by the time US open starts off . Lets go Nadal now for Cincinnati cup Smiley

Truly unexpected to see Rafa Nadal on top of the Tennis rankings again. And if he pulls through in Cincinnati he will increase his lead and momentum will be on his side again. Truly momentous event for him because no one will think that he can regain the no. 1 spot after battling physical and emotional injuries. Congrats again to him!!
He is what i will say is lucky to be there, Now that he is there at the top staying there is going to be a huge problem, Currently the likes of Djokovich are all out injured so i will say that he is going to be at the top for a whiles before he is brought down it might be sooner than we may even realize.
I wouldn't call it luck , he regained the top spot because of his passion and hard work . If you ask me , Murray was the lucky one last year because Nadal and Federer both didn't play all the tournaments so it allowed Murray to gain the top spot .

Incredible A.Zverev is already out of the Cincinnati tournament.
So many absences and renunciations in this tournament. For me there are 3 favorites: Nadal, Del potro and Thiem.
Despite this elimination A. Zverev should make his best ranking (sixth) unless if Thiem wins the tournament (in that case Thiem would be sixth and make him his best ranking)
I am really suprised that Zverev lose in his first match in Cincinnati. I guess he was tired of Montreal...
For me, the biggest favorites are Nadal, Thiem. Nadal's match is next on the central court, so let's see what his performance will be like.
Yeah it is surprising but being a young player like Zverev need to have lot experiences he should understand the body conditioning successive play sometimes is not good for a player because once body fatigue set in it will ruin your performance you should need relax sometimes in preparation for the big event like grand slam. He need a conditioning coach to oversee his physical conditioning so that for the next game hi is a complete package
Yeah, he said that he was tired. Also, he seemed uninterested in Cincinnati. He wants to be prepared for US open probably, which is his prio at the moment.

Yeah, but at least I was thinking that he is going to use Cincinnati to practice to the real event.

I mean, at least he should be giving 90% of himself, but it was seems that he didn't care at all.

I really hope for him that he will take himself out in the hands and have a really good practice for the US open which is a very important tournament for the future of his career as a tennis player.

Guys dont worry for Zverev. He was tired after some really good tournaments and now he will rest and give his best in the US open. I believe he can get to the finals.
Yes he played back to back series and tired. So he needs some rest now before going to play the US Open. This tournament is important for his career. Some senior players are also taking rest to play well in this tournament. I think Zverev will give a tight competition to all senior players. Now he is also in the race to win the US Open.

Yes, A.zverev after winning 2 consecutive tournaments (Washingtont and Montreal) he was very tired.
He will surely be one of the favorites at Us Open!
In this unpredictable tournament of cincinnati now the most likely semi-finals are: Nadal vs. Thiem and Dimitrov vs Isner.
I go Nadal on this Cincinnati tournament no doubt of his skill & if his conditioning is good he is the guy to watch for until Open, Cincinnati tournament is a good avenue for him for a good practice , but he should not forget to focus on his physical conditioning, if he will be the champion on this tournament this is a morale booster for him.

Good point. I think its not worth to risk in Cincinnati and he is preparing for the big one. But having a conditioning coach will also benefit him. He's advantage is that he is young and getting a physical coach that understands more would be really plus side for him.

Meanwhile, Rafa has gaining steamed and glad to see him claiming top spot again. He will be the favorite indeed in this tournament and would love to him raising another trophy for this year.

Yes, Nadal (at least 7475 points) after 3 years ( 6 July 2014) will be the new No.1!
While Murray(7150 points) will be second with 5 points advantage over Federer(7145 points).
In that case Rafa Nadal is the world number 1 again, congrat’s to him his really a true warrior he knows how rise when he is down, Go! Nadal for Cincinnati open, hopefully for US open he will win his second grand slam this year, and he can prove his self that he is not only good in Clay surface but in hard court as will.
He has proved it before and yes he need to prove it once again now because this season he hasn't won any title on other surfaces apart from clay but we all know ( except a few ) that he is capable of winning on any given surface , good luck to him Smiley
Yup it's not a small matter that an under 5 ranking player come near to 1st rank within few months. He struggled a lot and put that much effort to reach this place. He really deserves 1st rank in tennis. And yes he should take some rest before going to play in US Open. Some unexpected surprises made him to not win a big tournament in this year, but I think in US open he will come back and win the title.

Congratulations to Rafa, he is great champion and he deserved this. Maybe he should take a break and skip Cincinnati maybe not but I wouldn't bet on him to win US Open. He might come across some highly motivated player again, it wouldn't be first time, besides the fact that he is first favorite of the tournament.

Rafa is one of three greatest palyers in tenis history he deserved to be No1,i belive he is a warrior who never give up.He have 31 years who knows he maybe win four, five Grand Slames he have chance on US Open. Can overtake Sampras by the number of Grand Slams i think if  the Federer plays like this at thirty-six, why should not he play the next two or three years at the top level.
