As we know Fritz has never been able to win against Djokovic,  he will be much more determined to break that curse.  So Novak Djokovic will have to perform really well to win the next match.  Of course, we know that the head to head comparison suggests Djokovic is going to be the winner of this match.  I believe the match is going to be pretty competitive regardless of whoever the winner is.  I also do think that Djokovic is going to win however it is going to be tough.
I missed this match and judging by the score, Fritz was only able to provide resistance in certain areas but Djokovic controlled the entire match.

Speaking of the curse, it looks like Andrey Rublev is the player who will try to break his poor results in the Grand Slam quarterfinals, This is the 9th quarterfinal for him, and failed 8 times to advance further to the semifinals, against Medvedev his compatriot certainly won't be easy for him because Medvedev is in Hard courts are tough players to beat, but it will hurt a lot if Andrey Rublev lose for the ninth time in a Grand Slam quarterfinal.

Frances Tiafoe vs Ben Shelton, an interesting match and very likely to be a long match of up to five sets, Shelton used his fast serve to get a lot of points, but Tiafoe managed to come back after the first set and in the third set he had the opportunity to take it so he would lead 2-1

And it was an exciting match. It was 5 hard-fought sets. Both played at their limit and although Zverev had more playing time in the previous matches, Sinner had more problems with his body and fitness. For Zverev it is a great success to reach the quarter finals of a Grand Slam tournament again. There he will play against Alcaraz, who has had much less playing time so far and will therefore be more fitter.

Damn, this was a great match. It was going back and forth between these two. And if I am honest I have to definitely say that I kind of did not expect this outcome from this match. I thought that Sinner was going to be the winner of this match. He did try really hard to get the win as well.  But in the end, I have to say Zverev was the one who really performed better in that match.

But the next match is going to be a lot harder. He is going to face Alcaraz in the next match. I don't think he will be able to win that match, to be honest.

Sinner is definitely going to be a hard opponent for Zverev. Sinner is actually going to be the better one in my opinion. But this match should be competitive and both players should be able to perform well in this match. It is hard to predict with certainty which player is going to win in this match. But I will also say that Sinner is actually going to be the winner, that is if I have to choose. And definitely, Sinner is going to be a very stronger opponent compared to whom Zverev had faced in the last match.

On the WTA Swiatak was beaten yesterday by Ostapenko, to me it looks like a few players
are managing to beat her!
Ostapenko performed well in the third set and Swiatek seemed to have a hard time returning her opponents' balls, she even almost got a bagel if she didn't break Ostapenko at 5-0 points although Ostapenko managed to break Swiatek's game back to close the set 6-1 and win the match for advanced to the quarterfinals to face Coco Gauff, who was still looking impressive since the Cincinnati tournament.

Novak Djokovic is going to play against Gojo in the next match. I think Novak Djokovic should be able to win the match. After all, he’s going to be really confident since he was able to make a great comeback in the last match.
Novak Djokovic won the game in three sets against Gojo and worked really well for the victory, he was well prepared to catch Gojo's serves and he did it well. Djokovic knows that it gets tougher now on his way to break another record.

He will have to put in extra effort in his next game against Taylor Fritz and try to win the game quicker.
As I previously predicted, Novak Djokovic will play more effectively to save his energy because in the following rounds, he will find stronger opponents to put up a tough fight against him.
Fritz has met Djokovic 7 times and it is surprising that Fritz has not won once against Djokovic, and the last meeting was in Cincinnati. Fritz even got a bagel in the first set, and Djokovic won the match quite easily.
Maybe there will be different things happening but seeing how consistent Djokovic is in Grand Slam tournaments then this will still be a match that he will go through well to get to the semifinals.
Only a player who plays consistently and plays with minimal mistakes will be able to beat Djokovic unless this veteran player is not fit.

And realistically thats going to be either Medvedev or Alcaraz who will be
challenging him at some stage, Sinner is seeded 6 but he isnt up to the top
level of the top 3 yet!
This time also we can expect Alcaraz to meet Djokovic. At the end days we used to see top performance matches and surprising results. Fritz haven't won against Djokovic, but his performance in hard court used to be good. Djokovic also mentioned about Fritz stating, he had improved his performance over the years and surely the match will be tougher.

It would be the upset of the tournament for sure if Fritz manages to beat Djokovic.
The odds currently are 5.5 v 1.15! very few are expecting Tritz to win.

Currently Alcaraz is 2 sets up on Arnaldi, I'm not even sure now if the Italian can win
this 3rd set.

Nope - Alcaraz got it done in 3 sets!

Next up is Medvedev v de Minaur, again its a long shot for de Minaur to win this, he
might though take a set off Medvedev - over 36.5 @ 1.76 ?

Iga Swiatek have lost to Ostapenko 6-3 3-6 1-6. In recent tournaments she used to reach the finals and never wins at the end. This time it has happened at the round of 16. Soon we can see her stepping down from the No.1 place and the same could be taken by Aryna Sabalenka. During the period of time holding No.1 position she had won 10 tournaments which includes three major tournament wins.

Djokovic will play Fritz in the next match. The last match against Gojo was easy for him. He didn't even lose one set. But the next match against Fritz is definitely going to be far more harder. I believe that Djokovic will be able to win the next match.  After all, he is on his way to breaking another record as you said.  He will have to put in one of his best performances to win the next match.

In the next match, Matteo Arnaldi is going to face Alcaraz. That is definitely going to be a very difficult match for him to win. I definitely do not think that he will actually be able to win that match because Alcaraz is the number one tennis player in the world right now. So even though he was able to beat Cameron Norrie, I believe he is definitely not going to beat Alcaraz.

I watched several of Matteo Arnaldi's matches several times, and I can say that he will be a player who can provide quite strong resistance to Alcaraz, but when checking at the bookies it seems that Carlos Alcaraz will very easily finish this match @ 1.01, but if Arnaldi plays a game of tennis At best it's very possible it will be 4 sets but still for Alcaraz to win
...

Well, at this odd @1.01 is much much more convenient try to get the impossible odd of a win of Arnaldi!
This guy has won against Ruud this year, he is only 20 years old...I don't see any chance for a win so yes Alcaraz to win in 4 sets could be a potential option...

I do not see any chance for Arnaldi to win the match. Alcaraz is the far better player going into this match and there is probably in 99% chance that he will be able to win without too much complications in this match. Arnaldi was able to beat a better opponent in the last match, I don't think he will be able to do this again. And Let's be honest the last opponent that he was able to beat was nowhere near the skill level of Alcaraz. So a chance for him to win this match does seem to be highly unlikely.

Sinner plays Zverev tomorrow too and is favourite @1.62, this is his toughest challenge
in this tournament IMO. Zverev had a tough 2 tie break sets against Dimitrov but the
following 2 sets were easy 6-1, 6-1 so based on that Sinner will be a stronger opponent
than Dimitrov and will beat Zverev.

Sinner is definitely going to be a hard opponent for Zverev. Sinner is actually going to be the better one in my opinion. I agree bitbollo, Alcaraz to win in 4 sets, we have already seen Evans take a set from

Even this match is predicted to be won by the seeded players easily, I think after entering the quarterfinals and semifinals there will be different odds for Djokovic and Alcaraz.

Djokovic will return to his best performance without letting his opponent take a single set to make the match run more efficiently for him because of course if he loses 1-2 sets again it will drain his energy and affect his performance in the next round, even though he is a player who is always fit but age will prevent him from playing with long duration.

I would suggest to pay attention also in Arnaldi vs Norrie match live right now. The Italian guy is leading the match 2 set at 0.
in third set he has won one break point and he is leading the match 3-0.
Norrie was the strong favorite of the match... it would be interesting a come back (current odd @6.25).
The favourite of the match Cameron Norrie have lost to Matteo Arnaldi. From the beginning of the match Arnaldi was much focused on making more and more points. This had made him win the match on direct sets 6-3 6-4 6-3. Comeback performance is always good from Djokovic, but the odds never go down. If I'm not wrong he's confident in winning the match and to make the opponent happy he loses tgy first two sets. Djokovic's win against Laslo Djere lasted 5 sets 6-4 6-4 1-6 1-6 3-6.

Alcaraz vs Evans the total line is set at 28.5 , i prefer the under 29.5 for some extra safety

Evans was better in second set than first one but Alcaraz is too strong against him. Alcaraz broke Evans' resistance with the points he got at critical times.
It looks like the game will finish in third set, your bet is safe then.

Nole looks tired after the last game. He should finish games in less than 5 sets to stay fit. I want to see him in the final.

Yes I think everyone was expecting a 3 set match here but Evans has been good lately
and Alcaraz is known to "switch off" briefly during some matches and the two combined
resulted in Evans taking a set which killed rohang's bet unfortunately.

Brilliant win by Arnaldi against a very strong opponent! and to do it in 3 clean sets
without tie breaks is impressive.

Sinner plays Wawrinka later and is obvious favourite @1.13, I might bet on Wawrinka
to go over 34.5 but I believe Sinner will be too strong in the end.

and I might double that with a win for de Minaur against Jarry @1.29 or for Jarry to go
over 36.5 @1.77

Sinner won that match against Wawrinka as expected and my over prediction won by .5!
Close one

my other one with de Minaur v Jarry was a massive flop, de Minaur got the job done in
1-6, 3-6 and 2-6

Alcaraz vs Evans the total line is set at 28.5 , i prefer the under 29.5 for some extra safety

That leaves us needing Evans 11 games or under in 3 sets, he has won 7 and 4 games in their past H2H (2 sets matches) and i really doubt he gives alcaraz any sort of trouble  today

My best US open bet for  today  Grin

I also do not believe that Evans is actually going to be giving Alcaraz any kind of problem. It is a match between the number one and the number 26. So of course everyone is going to expect Alcaraz to win. But I am not going to be surprised if Evans is actually able to take one set. However, I don’t expect anything more from him, to be honest.

Sinner is playing a great tournament, I feel he'll walk over Wawrinka. I see it as a clean 3-0 but I won't be betting on it - Wawrinka is a great player but simply lacks stamina to keep that high level.

Sinner is definitely not going to face too much problems against Wawrinka. Sinner is just a better player, he’s also in good form right now. He is in such confidence that he is probably not going to even lose one set. Wawrinka even though is a decent player, he probably is not good enough to win this match.

Đoković showed his mental stamina once again, the guy is like a robot. Djere was 2-0 up and basically didn't stand a chance.
His next opponent is Borna Gojo, I think I'll play whatever handicap the bookies give me here.

I'm looking forward to Alcaraz tonight, I feel he might struggle against Evans a bit as well.

A great comeback from Novak Djokovic. It almost looks like he was definitely going to lose this match against Djere. But he made a great comeback and successfully won the next three sets. Even though we know that he is capable of doing such things, it was still a very unbelievable performance from him. He will be playing against Gojo in the next match. I believe he’s going to win this one as well.

Djokovic with another epic comeback, this is starting to be normal from him. He is probobly tired from this match and will need to rest a lot so he can be fit for the finish of the tournament. Good thing that Djokovic is playing against Gojo that isnt strong and if he wins against him in straight sets he might be fit for the finish of the tournament
