Your doubts are right. good amount of Indian players play in the county(Eng) games ( only Test players) few names comes into my mind such as Ishant, Pujara, Ajinkya, Pritvi shaw, Ashwin. even kohli was about to play few games there last year but his injury ruined the party.

Even I never come across with this county matches played by the Indians, really good this will help the Indian players play on pitches like England. But according to you most of them are tested players like Pujara, Prithvi show, etc. Even King Kohli went for a county match that is really very good news.

It can only enhance the skill set of these players. Players such as Ravichandran Ashwin needs to perform away from Indian pitches, as his performance in England and Australia is not up to the mark. He had a good outing this year with Nottinghamshire, in which he performed well with both bat and ball. I would like the other spinners (especially Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav) also playing county cricket. Another option is to participate in the Sheffield Shield in Australia, but getting a contract is not going to be easy.

I think the reason behind is that no pitch in this world offers more help to spinners than the pitches in the Indian subcontinent. The indian spinners who can spin ball both the ways on Indian pitches find themselves amidst a hard situation when on foreign pitches when the balls spins less and they are unable to find the right spot to ball on. I think even the world spinners perform better on Indian pitches. Imraan Taahir who didn't have much reputation of bowling in South Africa built it by bowling here on Indian pitches.

There is enough time available with the Indians, as most of the international players such as Virat Kohli and Mahendra Sigh Dhoni never participate in the domestic season. On average, India plays around 30 ODIs, 20 T20s and 7-8 test matches per year. There is enough time for at least short stints of 2-3 weeks in the county cricket. I guess that the players are not interested because the county salaries are much lower when compared to the IPL wages.

I would rather say that the schedule for the Indian cricketers have become more relaxed nowadays. One decade ago, most of the senior players used to participate in 40+ ODI matches and 10+ test matches every year. On top of that, it was not very rare to find players taking part in the domestic competitions, by representing their state sides.

That's not going to happen unless Pakistan dominates. India is dominating the cricket now with both their batsman and great bowlers.
I don't think it will be good idea to have a match on India, it would be fun to outside India as you know India is always king in India.

Seems interesting. I mean the current Indian team is on the good form with so much good consistent players. It will be a thrilling contest to watch the best from the rest of the world and Indian team in a match.

I guess you are talking T-20 Format -India vs Rest of the World- i think it is schedule in Gujarat, where BCCI rebuilding a biggest stadium and it could be a inaugural match for venue.

But its interesting idea if we think about India vs Rest of the World in Test cricket and same with England - Pakistan in ODI and T-20 format respectively.

Pakistan vs Rest of the World looks like troll match if we consider their recent performance against the Sri Lankans.

You are looking at it from one aspect. It is also a good for weaker teams from time to time to test themselves against a tougher side. That builds up and develops a site a lot IMO.

True. But I am not taking about that in actual. Playing at home turf and abroad are very different situations. In one you are familiar about your pitches and you don't have to adjust your strategy much. But on abroad you hardly know a stuff about their pitches, a team needs to analyze it properly. The quicker they analyze it ,better it is for them.

I am suggesting that India should play a lot more matches abroad to make them familiar with abroad conditions. Right now they are playing out decent in pitches abroad. But won't be cool to watch them dominant in both home and abroad turfs? Watching whitewash just like the recent series in abroad instead of home? Cheesy

But then, we need to look at the grass roots as well. The population of India is around 1.35 billion and cricket remains as the no.1 sport here. On the other hand, teams such as New Zealand have very small population (4 million in case of NZ), and cricket is not the most popular sport there. So obviously you can expect a huge gap in terms of the standards.

I'm not sure about it like how much true is this because I am reading like the team of the rest of world is being chosen by the editors of cricinfo. I can understand if they are preparing such a pitch against India or Australia. But do they think that they need dust-bowls to defeat a team like Afghanistan, and that too at home? And to this date, they don't have a big achievement in this format to boast.

For comparison, Afghanistan has fared much better when compared to Bangladesh. When Bangladesh got the test status, Afghanistan wasn't even an associate member of the ICC. But now they are ranked no.7 in the T20 format, and ranked higher than Bangladesh in the other two formats. That means that the Afghans have done something right.

Unfortunately, the same can be said about many of the other test sides, such as Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies and Pakistan. Their standards have gone down during the past few years and the gap between them and the big three sides (India, England and Australia) have widened. Only New Zealand is performing well among the teams outside the big three.

For whom the welfare committee is? Of course for the player. CWAB used to disrespect a lot of things which we had heard back in the day. Our current players movement is for ensuring better environment for cricket, you can't ensure better environment with corrupted people, a change is certainly needed and probably all the former player will be controlling the CWAB, it would be good.

A lot of political shit is going on right now in our country, it was an extra pressure for the government since you know cricket is the most favorite for most Bangladeshi.

I don't have much information about the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Can someone tell me whether this board is run by former international cricketers, or by powerful people (such as businessmen and politicians, similar to what they have in India). In case it is being run by people having hardly any interest in cricket, then the ICC should step in here.

Whatever be the reasons, the players needs to make sure that the quality of their game doesn't deteriorate. This is what happened in Zimbabwe. The team was performing quite well until the first player strike. Some of the tours were cancelled and players got suspended. But then a deal was reached. But players continued to quit the national side and gradually the quality declined in an irreparable manner. And look at the state of Zimbabwe cricket team now. So the Bangladeshi players should be careful here.
