Jadeja gone ...

450 ?? i hope you are not expecting Ishant sharma to score all the runs Cheesy now best bet for India is to reach 370-90 runs, Jadeja's silly shot changed the situation. now windies can really hope to wrap up tailenders quickly, luckily Gabriel bowling good as well and fifer should come to Jason holder.

But still they managed 416 without Jadeja, all thanks to Vihari's 100+ runs. Yes, I was not expecting Sharma to score the runs buthe did lol. He batted like Ashwin used to with Dhoni. I was only holding on Jadeja-Vihari's partnership which did not last long.

The way WI are playing, the first innings will get over before lunch and the second after lunch Cheesy

It is sad to see the WI playing this way in test matches and the thing is that they do have some young talented players but for some reason they can't perform against the top teams.
West Indies have been playing horrible cricket for quite sometime now(ODI and test formats) which was why the odds for India to win(1.33) were over-valued and this was a value bet in my opinion.

I do not like such one sided matches because there is no thrill or enjoyment in such matches.  Also the spectators would want a close match regardless of whether they are supporting India or West indies.
Did you actually expect a different result considering how West Indies has been performing in recent times? Indians are clearly enjoying the game( Especially that amazing hat-trick) which is why this is still an entertaining match for them overall.

Hanuma Vihari is incredible. Ishant Sharma is also playing is best innings in his career. WI has turned into a poor team in test matches. India will win this match as well with greater margin.

WI were 97/7 when the 2nd day ended. This match will be won by India easily. I do not like such one sided matches because there is no thrill or enjoyment in such matches.  Also the spectators would want a close match regardless of whether they are supporting India or West indies.

Actually it is depressing to see such one-sided matches. If a tailend batsmen like Ishant can hit a half century, that tells a lot about the degradation of the West Indies bowling attack. And even more tragic was the fact that they collapsed to 87/7 on the same day Ishant hit that 50. The top scorer in West Indies hit 34, which was 23 runs less than what Ishant scored. And worse still, this was a home match for WI.

They are still trailing by 329 runs, and I don't see a situation in which they could avoid follow on and later an innings defeat. Perhaps the ICC should divide the test league to two divisions. Teams such as West Indies and Sri Lanka no longer has the capability to take on top teams such Australia, India and England. Even South Africa is moving in that direction.

The second day of the match was completely dominated by the Indians. Vihari and Ishant dominated the first 2 sessions with some sensational batting even Holder who did some damage on the first day was not able to do much on the second day. Bumrah completely destroyed the Windies in the last sessions with his exceptional bowling display scalping 6 wkts for 16 runs. This has given a overall advantage for the Indians to win by an innings and a few runs.

Currently Windies are at 87/7 trailing by 300+ runs with 3 days remaining. So if they are looking for a draw, they'll have to follow on (no doubt there) and will have bat for 2+ days without losing much wickets and getting past 500 runs. But this seems very unlikely and the Indians are not going to let this match out of there hands and will look to finish the series as 2-0

Man of the hour.. Ishant Sharma  Grin

Finally one shot away from his first half-century and he along with Hanuma produced the Highest run partnership in the Indian inning, plus he's playing faster than Hanuma lol

Windies are now frustrated with Ishant. They might be cursing their fielders for this  Grin

Edit : India all out 416 runs

In response windies struggling at 14/4

Boom boom bumrah hattrick !!!
Now we can say West Indies Cricket is in RIP because they have just some talent in ODI and Twenty/20 but in test now they are going to touch historical Zero land from where they have no return ticket.

Ishant hitting four , beautiful sight  Cheesy
Third boundary.  Ishant needs only 25 runs to score his first 50 if your research is correct. India needs only 48 runs to score 400 runs. I still do not see a good future for WI.

Where is weather man Vishnu? :-P

Edit: Ishant! Ishant!! another one!!!

India is again in the driver seat in the 2nd test match also. They will manage to score somewhere above 400+ and it will be real pressure for the WI.
The only hope for the West Indies in the test match will be the Rain.  Cheesy

And Sharma already took 8 wickets in this series meaning he is in good shape.

Looks like a 450+ score would be good enough to defend for India and there are chances they could win the match and one innings. Virat and Vihari have outperformed for the team but just wish atleast Vihari can reach 100 else Jadeja is still on strike (run out chance missed, glad).
Achievable (400+) however they just lost Ravindra Jadeja. Vihari is fully set and he can easily add 100+ more runs with the tail enders. I am not seeing much hope for WI from here. Indian bowling attack is not going to let them manage them 300+ runs in their first innings.

Mohammed Shami, JJ Bumrah are hard to play. And Sharma already took 8 wickets in this series meaning he is in good shape.

Great news. I am very confident that Australia will take this one with Starc coming in. No batsman is safe once Starc gets going. With Anderson coming back, this is going to be one heck of a match.

The Australian selectors needs to be fired. I have seen many instances in which a bowler was picked over a better alternative. But this is the first time in my life I am witnessing the best bowler in the team overlooked in favor of an average performer. Imagine India going to a match without Jasprit Bumrah, or New Zealand without Trent Boult.

It's good news from both sides. Anderson was injured so he was out but Starc's one will be always questionable.

India should touch at least 350 scores from here. But when talking about the ideal scenario, India might want to bat around 2 more session that means almost 50-60 overs. If Hanuma Vihari and Pant along with lower-order can show little resistance, then they can fancy their chances of getting close to 400 or maybe more Runs.
400+ is very possible. India will need to play session wise. If they gave give a high score in the first innings then WI will be in pressure from the beginning when they will come for batting. May be a follow on? I see this test is going borking (unless WI shows some batting) LOL

It looks like Strac will play the fourth test match for Australia which is good news and hopefully he can give Australia the spark they need after losing the third test after having all the momentum. Not sure what will happen to Smith though after not making many runs in the tour match but then again he didn't do all that good before the Ashes anyway however he could still be not 100% right after the hit in the neck from the second test match. If he isn't 100% then there is no point risking him as Australia did okay without him.
That was just a warm up innings. Smith is the man and he will show his class in the final time.

310-320 seems more likely which is a great score for India to defend especially since boom boom Bumrah is in epic form currently. This looks like another easy win for India in my opinion.
