Not looking good tbh Cheesy England need minimum 2 big innings from their batsmen. If England manages to chase this target down, then cricket fans are going to remember this match for ages. How many times do we see a team getting out under 70 runs in the first inning and chase down the 350+ score, that too in 4th inning? Nothing can beat that combo.
Well you are good in finding historical reference so, I will leave it up to you to find the number :-P

I do not think there any many if any exists. The job is very very(emphasis) hard for English team. Besides, the pitch is not smooth too.

Don't know if its Game on or Game over.  Grin arguably English fans already lost their hope, but deep down they might be hoping for some miracle.
They should be happy with the World Cup winning. May be for the next 50 years this is the achievement they will keep talking about LOL

Teams have chased 350+ before and today is only the third day. So in theory, England still has a chance of winning the test and leveling the series.
I would let it be in theory. I do not think England can chase this run with this batting line up. There is nothing wrong with their Batting lineup, it just that they do not have the confidence to win fighting against the current Australian bowling line up even though they have done it before.

Either way I am not losing anything. If England wins then I will have a winning tip :-)

Innings break in Australia vs England Test. England now have to chase 358 runs if they want to win this match. I do not see much chance for England now. We may see a result even before end of today LOL

I think I lost the tip. England had very good chance to win this Test. Without Smith, it was a broken Australia but England surprisingly performed one of their worse inning.

Labuschagne was in good form and he helped the Australians to reach respectable totals in both the innings. On the other hand, the English batsmen were a bit overconfident and got out to rash shots. Nice analysis and input.

Wasn't aware of SENA  Cheesy
It's very much understable, very few spin bowlers can have outstanding performance in SENA countries.

Liked your analysis of Ashwin earlier being a Ashwin fan myself. Also, Kohli is not simply smelling victory here, but I think he can taste it since India are in a really good position to wrap this one up as expected.

Thanks guys, appreciate that.

@Little Mouse : Haha that's fine, it happens. that's a only reason Muralitharan and Shane Warne are considered legend in Test Cricket and in some extent Anil Kumble too.

@Haunebu : I am his fan as well Cheesy True, Kohli is eyeing on another test victory. after this win he's going to become the most successful Captain for India in Test Cricket.

This one will most likely end in a draw since the possibility of a win by either Sri Lanka or New Zealand is getting slimmer and slimmer and I think New Zealand might get close to Sri Lanka's first innings total currently thanks to Latham.

See now we are talking :-P

This was the reason I went with win or draw market when I picked the matches for the 3 fold few days ago. Very unfortunate that England performed their worse in the first innings and I clearly see the 3 fold is going to lose :-(

India will win for sure.

This match is becoming interesting as Aussie will soon be on 300+ lead. Lets see their tail enders can push to how much score in the end. Each and every run will be important and if England started the chase well, there will be an interesting finish.
I doubt it. This one looks like it will go to Oz all the way unless they mess up really badly which I doubt they will considering the epic form of Hazlewood, Pattinson and Cummins.

In SL vs NZ test match day looks good today on the 3rd day and SL got all out for 244 runs in their first innings. NZ dint start their innings well and are 40/2 already. For SL DM Silva inings of 109 helped them to pot some decent score on the board. Its now on NZ to make big total in the first innings as time in this test match is just 2.5 days left.

Cricketers need to present themselves decently and in India many cricketers have been warned like earlier Hardik came on KWK and spoke about his affairs so he was warned.

Both Aus and WI are playing badly so I don't feel both may even reach 250. Aus is depending on only Marnus and adding 350 runs would be enough to win the game while WI has Holder who may add 20-30 runs or max 50 which will make India lead by 50-60 runs and then adding more 300 would give India an easy win.

The rules usually apply to common people only and celebrities usually get a pass. Also, I don't really see what is the big deal in accident exposure. No need to over-complicate simple things people.
I really do not see any issue with the photo posted in social media, why would he need a pass for a snap, you could find many celebrities with much less clothes than these and people want to talk about it because he is a cricket player and not a model  Huh. Social media is the wild west and if anyone thinks that it is inappropriate they have the right to block the image and the user.

If you think this is right, then he should be acting in a Porn movie too ?  Cool
Being a cricketer and representing your nation makes much more responsibility on your shoulders and these cheap publicity will only hurt the players and country reputations.

Generally it's not a big score, England must have chased it easily. But considering the fact that pitch isn't helping the batsman at all, and within 4th day, pitch will be more worse, 300 is still a handy score. Australia will easily win with that.
There's 31 successful chase (300 and above) in the history of test cricket. For England, it will not be easy to win.

Well that's also true that pitch isn't kinda giving any favour at all to batsman but if someone is sticking and getting hang of the pitch by playing slow and composed type of cricket like Warner did in 1st and Labuschagne is doing till now then I think England can do it too since they have a upper hand with their batting lineup over Australia.

If 2-3 batsman sticks for England in second and play it calmly then I don't think England will have any problem in winning the third.

Exactly. Some people make a big deal out of nothing which was I found this entire drama about his underwear really hilarious. There are bigger issues to focus on than underwears in my opinion.

On 2 day stump Windies still trailing by 108 runs and only 2 wickets in hand. Now Holder needs to play sensibly with tailenders and add as much as runs possible. Anything above 90+ runs lead is good for India, Kohli must be smelling victory here.

The third test match between England and Australia has been entertaining so far, it really is a bowlers pitch as 26 wickets have fallen in 2 days. Warner needs to be dropped in my opinion as he has failed again with the bat, Finch deserves a go and I think that will happen in the next test match. Labuschagne has been the shining light for Australia in this match and has put Australia in a strong position after day 2, I think if he can make a century and the tail stick around Australia will certainly win the match. 300+ runs will be very tough to chase down on this pitch with the way it is playing.

Marnus Labuschagne is still batting out there and in the end the lead may grow to 350 or more, which may represent an impossible task for the English batsmen given their pathetic performance during the first innings. I consider both James Pattinson and Pat Cummins as lower middle order batsmen than tailenders and they should give enough support to Labuschagne, so that the lead increases from the current 283 to somewhere between 350-400.

One thing that may go against Australia is the poor form of Nathan Lyon. His performance was not satisfactory during the first innings and if there is no improvement, then it may add more pressure to the pacers. But even with that, any target above 300 looks very much unachievable for England. Forget 300, they won't even make 200 if things go on like this.

Test match is kinda bowlers game IMO. In longer format a bowler has more chances and time to surprise and since batsman kinda plays slow and tries to adjust on the pitch they don't have to adjust their strategy much.

Looking at the bowling performance I think Australia will be rattled down quickly.BTW we still have 3 days in this 3rd test and we are already down to second innings. I think England will plan on attacking the other player who is not well adjusted at crease and wind it up quickly. 300+ is not a good score especially when opposition have 2-3 days in hand. I think 500+ will be a good score to challenge at this point but at this condition it is hard for to see Australia reach that.

Good day for Indian team against the Windies. First Jadeja batted beautifully with lower order and added 90 useful runs on the scoreboard. Pitch didn't had much to offer for seam bowler on the 2nd day. Even Windies batsman didn't face any trouble against the Indian seamers throughout the day but good to see Indian seamers picked the right length and good areas. Results every Windies's batsmen got out after touching 2 digits score.

Every regular bowler chiped in and took 1 wicket each. Ishant Sharma end up with fifer and chances are he could be potentially man of the match in the end.
