The rain interrupted the match between Pakistan and South Africa. I think maybe the rain will ruin this day and so far we cannot say which team is winning, though South Africa has a slight edge.
The day starts with the rain but after that we were able to see the good game. South Africa is so close to get the win. They have full two days remaining and even if the weather isn't good, there will be plenty of time to make 121 runs. However South Africa have lost 3 wickets for 27 runs, are we in some sort of drama tomorrow
Remember Pakistan lose will hurt so badly to Indian team in the WTC because South Africa will move up and India will come down and at the same time, their own performance of India in the test matches is not going well. Also in the last 2 WTC they lost both of them in finals and this time they may not even qualify.
But if Pakistan's fortunes are good and three more wickets fall in the next 50 runs as they did in 27 runs, there could be good news for Pakistan. But how logical it is for Pakistan to dream of a 148-run lead can only be guessed at the end of the match.

India managed to score good runs against Australia on the third day so I thought maybe India could get close to Australia's first innings collection but they have already lost 9 wickets to make 358 runs. 3rd day's play is over 4th day's play will start tomorrow, I think India may be all out by the start of 4th day which may lead India to be 150 plus runs behind Australia. With just two days to go, if Australia lead by 150 plus runs, they can declare an innings with 200 plus runs in the next innings and invite India to bat again. If something like this happens then it will be very difficult for India to win this Test match. Going by the current state of the match, I can say that the result of this match is most likely going to go in favor of Australia.

While Zimbabwe were bowled out for 586 in their first innings, Afghanistan were in a bit of a shambles at the start but Rahmat Shah and Hasmatullah Shahidi had already put on a 234-run partnership. Rahmat Shah is unbeaten on 156 runs while Hasmatullah Shahidi is unbeaten on 94 runs. But there is a high possibility that this test match will be a draw. The third day's tea break is going on and Afghanistan are 288 runs behind so far, so if Afghanistan wants to take the run lead, they will have to bat the entire third session today but will have to bat two sessions on the fourth day.

I think this match is going to be a draw because day three is over, and Afghanistan's first inning is still going on. Hasmatullah Shahidi also completed his century and still playing at 141 runs, will score a double century like Rahmat Shah. Both NK Reddy and Washington Sundar played good, I would give more credit to Reddy though, because he was calm and composed to Sundar but that does not nullify Sundar's contributions.
It was thrilling cinema like stuff to see whether NK Reddy were going to make century or not, and I am glad it was positive outcome in the end, great shot to reach the hundred as well.
Entertaining day overall.
Even there are many problems with Indian team on this tour of Australia but with this impressive inning now they found a new hero who can go good for long run in test matches his patience and under pressure batting give impact about his future things were not favourable for them after end of second day play but these both done amazing stuff and bring Indian back into match from where now they can do good for having decent end of this third test match and also able to keep their winning record here at MCG on Boxing Day matches as well.It was thrilling cinema like stuff to see whether NK Reddy were going to make century or not, and I am glad it was positive outcome in the end, great shot to reach the hundred as well.

We have good start of career for Sam Konstas from his blitzing inning, but Reddy give solid reply through his solid technique and important partnership of 127 with Washington Sunder which bring Indian back into game.

The 4th day will the start in the next 2 to 3 hours. Australia scored a very good runs and gave a target 474 in the first innings that was like imposssible for India to even come close to it.
Now they are batting on 358 with the loss of 9 wickets meanwhile just the wait of a single wicket and the next innings will start. I think Australia will play a bit fast in the 2nd innings and then let India to bat once again and try to win the match. Australia are likely to win this series. At the end of third day India is trailing by 116 runs and just have a wicket in hand but Nitish Kumar Reddy is the last hope for them.

Yes, the great game between the two teams is really interesting, this can be understood by looking at their current run count. Zimbabwe team gives a huge target of 586 runs, but although Afghanistan did not do very well in the beginning, later they made a wonderful partnership. Nitish Kumar Reddy! Wow! A century under such immense pressure in one of the biggest grounds against the toughest team in cricket is something special.
Really, this guy has proved his place in the team and made everyone believe why he deserves the spot. When all the batters were struggling here, he batted fearlessly. We need to also praise Sundar for building the partnership with him. The Indian fans wanted Bumrah to last some overs in the field, but it was sad to see him out quickly. All hopes are now on Sir Vivian Richard Siraj. Hope the Indian team will play more 20-30 overs with the last wicket. In this way they can go to draw this match.

Looks like South Africa will officially seal their WTC final spot by comfortably defeating Pakistan thanks to the small target. Shakeel and Azam were the only ones who batted well while the rest collapsed like dominoes.
Anyway, I was expecting the Proteas to win comfortably since the beginning and it looks like that's what's about to happen. Great stuff South Africa.
Pakistan have conceded a lead of just 148 runs which is not a tough target for South Africa. Although South Africa have lost two wickets in the beginning but will it be possible to bowl out South Africa for 148 runs? South Africa are currently at the top position in the World Test Championship so if South Africa can win this match they will strengthen their top position and qualify from the top spot in the WTC. Yes, because of the rain the first session of the test match for South Africa of Pakistan has been suspended and the play of the second session has started. After 15 overs of second season South Africa got a breakthrough wicket of babar azam. Babar Azam oit after scored a well deserved half century. Pakistan Current score is 159 runs in a loss of just 4 wickets. Pakistan lead by just 69 runs so far, Soud Shakeel and Muhammad Rizwan in on carees. Marco Jansen bowling performance outstanding in second inning of test match today they picked the big wicket of Babar Azam at 50 runs. from Pakistan Soud Shakeel playing very sensibile and currently playing at 40 runs very closed his fifty.
