Yeh they can easily bat throughout the third day but I think it will reduce thier chances of win and match will goes in favor of draw so that's why the prefer innings declare before things goes out of thier hand. also south African believe on thier pacer to have easily defend their target, Also we have seen SiriLankan batting order collapse in previous innings against the single bowler janson who really put them in huge trouble. Currently SiriLankan has lose thier five wicket and will have to chased more then 400 in upcoming two days which look fair to match but I don't think thier batting lineup has potential to tackle janson and some other to filled the gap so I will go in favor of south African to won the match because they really deserve it especially after ordinary in recent innings

So far South Africa are leading by 281 runs and if South Africa can bat for two sessions on the third day then their lead will surely increase to over 400 runs making it impossible for Sri Lanka to chase such a big run lead.

I am really impressed by the performance of South Africa against Sri Lanka. I am especially impressed by Temba Bavuma's performance. Temba Bavuma is a talented player, we have to admit that. But his off-form forced him to be a victim of trawlers. After a long time, seeing Temba Bavuma playing comfortably is making me more attracted to the game. South Africa just need another 5 wickets to complete the win against Sri Lanka. This is a two match series, and in case they can win the next match as well, then there is a realistic chance that they will qualify for the final of the ICC World Test Championship. Marco Jansen has so far taken 9 wickets in this test so far, and he will have a chance to pick up more tomorrow. BTW, with the century in this test match Temba Bavuma has managed to improve his test batting average to >35. And his average is now better than that of Aiden Markram.

I think New Zealand is also trying their best. I know according to the situation, England is winning as they almost chased the score and tomorrow they will convert the runs into lead but I think from somewhere New Zealand is still not out of this match. Because now England have just 5 wickets remaining, those are bowlers which means England cannot get the lead of many runs. I would not be surprised if New Zealand can pick these wickets quickly and didn't let England get a big lead.

I don't understand what South Africans are fearing. They have a huge lead of 515 runs and they are gone for a tea break without declaring. The first innings was a disaster for Sri Lanka. But the South Africans also did not play that well. They only scored 191 for all out. Probably they are thinking that Sri Lanka may fight back in the 2nd innings. Guys, you are playing in your country and you guys should have some confidence.
I feel like the South Africans already scored enough runs to declare the innings. But it seems like they are going to play a little more.

Harry Brook has scored such a wonderful century. He smashed more than 100 runs. He should try not to lose his wicket as he in a position to make a very long partnership and score high but need support from other team members too so stay on the wicket with him.
Already he is batting on 132 and I want to see his 200 that can happen if he plays with patience and will make partnerships, then it is possible for him to score 200 in a single innings. What do you think? Can he score it? By the way, Kane Williamson from New Zealand also missed his century by 7 runs as he was out on 93.

The only regret the Sri Lankans have at the moment is a poor batting performance in the first innings. Can be thought, What a poor performance they were bowled out to South Africa for just 42 runs. Sri Lanka have to overcome a mountain of runs to win this match which is very difficult for them. The Sri Lankan team is under a lot of pressure at the moment as they have already collected 72 runs for two wickets.If the Sri Lankan team wants to win this match, they may have to perform a miracle and it is not possible.Sri Lanka still need 444 runs to win, I think their defeat in this match is very close.
