Finally some partnership, otherwise it was over for India.

England's spinners bowled beautifully but NGL I am pissed at the quality of umpiring in this match, there is no consistency with the umpires. When Indians were bowling umpire hesitated to raise their fingers and even when it was straightforward LBW. In contrast, they were itching to raise their fingers when Indians were batting. 3 umpires call and 2 LBW calls came when it was brushing the stumps and looked not out to the naked eye. Call it luck or whatever but the 90% of decisions went against India.

At the end of the second day, the Indian team collected 219 runs with the loss of 2 wickets. India is 134 runs behind England. Team India has already collected 42 runs from the pair of Kuldeep Yadav and Dhruv Jurel. These two batsmen are batting very carefully. If the lower order batsmen did not play well, India would probably have lost all the wickets before 200 runs were scored. Because India's top order and middle order players cannot bat well in this innings.

SHoaib bashir and Tom Hartley bowled very well. Bashir bowled 32 overs and took 4 wickets. And he scored 84 runs in 32 overs. On the other hand, Tom Hartley bowled in 18 overs, giving away 47 runs and taking two wickets.

At the moment India is trailing by 135 runs, 1 wicket falls from here and it'll be inning done, idk about Akash Deep but Siraj can't bat, has it been Bumrah he could hold his wicket or could bat aggressive and get quick 10-20 runs, we already saw how it turned out for England in last three wickets, 347-7 and 353 all out.

England will give 100+ runs lead IMO, let's see how it goes.

Hilarious seeing people think England already won the ongoing test just because India is struggling at the moment. This match is far from over. Jurel and Kuldeep are playing well together and it looks like they might end up trailing them by 50-100 runs.

This is clearly a spinners surface due to which Bashir, Hartley and Jadeja bowled really well. Jadeja, Ashwin and Kuldeep could be dangerous in the 2nd innings.

Indian batsmen have crossed the barrier of 200 runs. India has now collected 204 runs after losing 7 wickets. Dhruv Jurel remains unbeaten with 20 runs. Kuldeep Yadav on the other hand is batting very responsibly. He collected 14 runs from 38 balls. I think India's innings will not be prolonged if this pair is broken. So these two batsmen should now try to stay at the crease. At least they should try to stay at the crease today. If you can collect like 250 it will be a good collection for India.

So far England is leading by 149 runs. Maybe the team can take a lead of 100 runs. Even then there is no telling whether England will win. England's batsmen must bat well in the second innings if they want to win the match. Otherwise England will not be able to win the match.

With Joe Root's responsible batting, England managed to muster a big enough despite the pitch not being batting friendly. Collected 353 runs in the first innings. It can be called a big collection considering the pitch. Joe Root was unbeaten with 122 runs. Also 42 runs, FOakes 47 runs and Ollie Robinson managed to collect 58 runs. We have seen a good performance from the England batsmen in the first innings. Indian bowlers Jadeja and Akash Deep bowled well. Jadeja took 4 wickets and Akash 3 wickets. Ekahar Mohammad Siraj managed to take 2 wickets.



We have never seen a bigger innings from Indian batsmen. The team lost their seventh batsman for 177 runs. Although opener Jaiswal managed to score 73 runs, no other batsman could play a big innings. India will lose all the wickets to collect 220-240 runs. England team will be able to take a lead of 100-120.

Indian batsmen played very well in previous two matches. India won the last match by a huge margin of 434 runs. But the Indian batsmen are not able to bat well in the fourth test match. They lost 6 wickets to collect 171 runs. Ashwin and Dhruv are batting now. However, I don't think that these two batsmen will be able to stay at the crease for a long time on this pitch.

The England captain used four of his bowlers today. Out of this Shoaib Bashir picked up 4 wickets. Shoaib picked up four important wickets of Jaiswal, Gill, Rajat and Jadeja. India will probably bat like 15 more today. And the team is likely to lose two more wickets today.

Things are moving way too quickly and don't think Dhruv-Ashwin duo can hold the line for long, they are capable batters but the momentum is on England's side, and it looks like it's just a matter of time. This duo needs a mighty effort and some miracle partnership, but not a fair thing to ask when the main batters bend their knees.

I am not at all surprised by India's batting. The pitch was not batting friendly. England's batsmen have faced a lot of problems to survive on this pitch. England could not have collected 353 runs if Joe Root did not bat well. However, India may lose all wickets in 220. India collected 165 runs after losing 5 wickets. Sharfaraz Khan and Dhrub Jurel are now at the crease. I don't think India will be able to collect more than 220.

India started this test match good but as the sessions progressed, they are losing their grip on this match. First, they let England make too many runs. Remember at one time the England team were  5 wickets down for 112 runs and then Joe Root played a brilliant not out innings of 112 runs. He was supported by lower middle order batsmen like Ben Foakes (who made 47 runs) and Ollie Robinson (who made 58 runs). This fight back by the England team helped them reach a decent total of 350+ odds runs. Now they only need to bowl well and have a firm advantage on this test match.

England bowlers did exactly what was required in the match and that was to take early Indian wickets. Shoaib Bashir from England took three wickets while James Anderson took one wicket which helped England to make India 4 wickets down at 154 runs.

India's batsmen had a poor batting start in their first innings. Although the opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal is not out at 73 runs but none of the other batsman made any decent score. Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, was out making only two runs. Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja also were not able to stay on the crease when the test match demanded to play slow and sensibly. At the very moment, the Indian team is in trouble. If their wickets keep falling, I am afraid the match will tilt very much in England's favor.

Very bad start for India they lost their captain very early in the game. Then the middle order collapsed starting with Shubhman Gill to Jadeja. Again the pressure to get runs have come down to the new comers of this team. Patidar again failed to get runs and this will not go well with the team management. India have lost 4 wicket but the good thing is that Jaiswal is still batting and Sarfaraz Khan has joined him.

India didn't get off to a good start, though, as their wickets fell, and they couldn't add much to their runs. Although they have already lost 4 wickets and scored only 131 runs, India's batting performance today is very poor to say the least. But Yashasvi Jaiswal has managed to score a brilliant half-century, and his batting performance will depend on how much India can score in today's match. If the partnership of Sarfaraz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal can sustain then it will be possible to fulfill the target given by England and if the pair does not survive then it seems that the Indian team will not be able to give a lead in today's match. Yashasvi Jaiswal will surely touch the 1000 run club in today's match as he will surely achieve this goal as he continues to bat brilliantly, and we can hope that he will definitely achieve this goal today.

England managed to add only 51 runs on the second day. India didn't get off to a good start in batting, early Rohit Sharma caught Foakes off James Anderson. Jaiswal and Shubman Gill put on 82 runs in the second wicket partnership before Shubman Gill was trapped lbw by Shoaib Bashir. Rajat Patidar did not last long on the pitch. Jadeja and Jaiswal are batting in a fourth wicket partnership. India team's current score is 123/3. To take India's lead run need to have a big partnership. Yashasvi Jaiswal has already hit his third career half-century, just 87 runs away from a thousand runs. I hope to enter the 1000-run club in this Test.

Patidar plays carefully to not get out and gets out anyway and his worst fears of performing poorly comes true. He has one inning left, he should try playing aggressive, as playing slow doesn't seem to work for him, and he has nothing to lose anymore anyway because the way he has performed until now he's going to warm the bench.

Just now, Jadeja goes for 12 runs on hands of Bashir at silly point. Silly point gotta love the name, whenever batters see opposition placing someone at this position, batter should go full aggressive mode that opposition forget to put anyone there. I tell you, words don't do justice what I mean by going aggressive here.


I want England to win the match, so 5th match have meaning.

There is only one hurdle in England's way at the moment - Yashasvi Jaiswal. The English bowlers have done a good job to pick 4 wickets but Yashasvi Jaiswal is scoring runs. I already mentioned how Yashasvi Jaiswal single handed secured India first innings (second test). If England can't get Yashasvi Jaiswal out then there are fair chances that India will level England first innings total of 353 runs.

Shit! This mini collapse going to hurt and might cost us a match.

I wouldn't have minded 3-4 wickets by the end of the day but we have a full session to go and already lost 4 wickets. Need a wicketless session at any cost otherwise, Poms are looking at a very healthy lead and potentially 2-2.

.In the first test match England after winning the toss decided to bat first and All out after scoring 353 runs in first inning. England batters Joe Root played an important inning scored century runs and out after scoring 122 runs. Ben Foakes also played a good inning 47 runs, unfortunately missed his well deserved fifty by 3 runs short but the partnership more than 100 runs between Joe Roor and Ben Foakes played an important role by setting a 350 plus total for India in first inning of fourth test match.

India current score is 103 runs by loss of 2 wickets in second session of day 2 test match. India trial by 250 runs i think India will scored a lead for England and try to win this test match. Indian captain Rohit Sharma didn't played well out after scoring just 2 runs but other batters Gill scored 38 runs. Now Yashasvi Jaiswal are playing at 49 runs not out and Patidar are playing at 12 runs not out. This Partnership is very important for team india to score a big lead for England.

Gill out, Patidar in. Gill was not batting as he use to bat, from beginning he was looking shaky. Now it is time for Patidar to prove he is worthy of his selection. Last two matches were bad and this might be his last if he doesn't do what he is supposed to do. Jaisawal as usual is going good and not taking any risk. He is short of 5 runs to get another 50 runs in this series.

Rohit Sharma gets out early into the innings while India tries to improve on the 353 runs England have put on board. Jaiswal seems to be turning into solid choice for opening if India ever needs one to rescue them. He's closing in on his 3rd 50 in 7 tests while he also has 3 100s in the same span. Can he convert the potential 50 into his 4th century?  if he does that, can he even be ever dropped even after Rahul gets fit again? Will it turn into who to pick between Gill and Jaiswal, to make room for Rahul? Both inching closer to their 50's to stabilise the innings, at the moment.

A big factor for India's win is Jaiswal but you cannot say that it was individual performance in the batting. Shubhman Gills contribution cannot be ignored the new boy Sarfaraz was very good down the order. Jadeja did have a small but important contribution as a batter. It is test cricket and not everyone is able to stand the whole day in sun and bat. It is game that needs a lot of patience, skills and focus to bat throughout the day and the next day.
