well, England is going to lose badly in this match as well.
No I don't think that England Gona lose this second match of test series, because Thier hopes are alive with the availability of stokes and duckett no doubt they lose early on wicket which has difinitely impel alot pressure on them and personally at early stage I taught too that they gonna be easy bite for Australian but the way they hold Thier nerves and recover himself at such a pressure condition is phenomenal, now both batter are almost set and the only sutible things for them will be to build partnership because they just required 250 around, I am pretty sure that the series Gona be 1-1 after this match...

The first session wickets will be the deciding factor in today's play. If England were able to take few quick wickets the pressure can move on to Australia. If this doesn't take place, then England will be in struggle. For now both the teams are in similar position, with Australia having little upper hands on the match. Both the batsmen on the crease were the best and have supported Australia win more matches. Everyday there'll be some changes in the pitch and England made a big mistake in the previous match by declaring earlier in the first innings. This time no spin bowling will make them feel bad at the end of the match.
After Aussies were bowl out for 279 there were chances that England might chase this target but they had a terrible start of 2nd innings. With 4 wickets gone down, England are once again set to lose the match. Aussie pacers Starc and Cummins have done a good job by picking 2 wickets each. There are still 24 more over to be bowled today and we might have a conclusion of this match today.

English batsmen's performance has become very boring to watch. England also batted badly in the second innings of the first Test match. And England's top order failed today too. England lost 4 important wickets for just 45 runs. The team is batting with a huge target of 371 runs. England still needs 292 runs. Ben Stokes and Ben Duckett are now batting. Both are very experienced batsmen. If this pair does not play well, England is going to lose badly in this match as well.
Both were doing their best at the moment. Duckett have reached his half century and continuing. On the other side Stokes is scoring well. The opening looked boring, now it looks like the team have come back to the form. England batsman have understood defensive play will lead to loss of wickets. Better is to play as if like playing ODI. Duckett have scored 50* of 66 and Stokes 28* of 57 balls.

Now Australia has collected 227 runs after losing 5 wickets. The team managed to take a lead of 318 runs. Australia will probably bat till the third session today. And will give the England team a chance to bat the last 10-15 overs. A target of less than 400 runs is unlikely to be given. Cameron Green and Alex Carey are now at the crease. Both are very experienced players.

England's chances of winning are very low if they bat for a target of more than 400 runs. England should bat responsibly on the last day and try to draw the match. But I am not sure if England can draw the match. So far my Australia team seems to be favorites to win this match.
English bowlers done impressive job in their last few overs and having quick wickets which reduces Australian chances for having 400+ lead but sadly their batting is not as expected which is surely bringing down them again in this second test at Lord's with after losing first test at Birmingham and Australian is extending their winning streak in this series as now they are going to win third test on this tour after winning first final of WTC against India.

371 runs target is looking well-balanced but after Start and Cummins early breakthroughs hit badly to England now they are badly down with just 60 runs on board and lost their all top order batsmen which with now still we have nearly 110 overs left in this test man result is sure and most chances Australia will be on winning side with their bowing attack is doing amazing job and Bazball cricket is already buried at Lord's badly.

Which team will win the second Test match between England and Australia is yet to be confirmed. But as far as can be predicted, there is a possibility of winning the Australian cricket team. The bowlers of the Australian cricket team are at ease.  Day 4 season 3. England are now batting, England have scored 50 runs and lost four wickets. They still need 321 runs to win the match against Australia. Now let's wait until the end of the game and see what happens

I think Poms are pulling back nicely, they might have a real shot if they wrap Aussie's tail cheaply and they are 1 batter short i suppose because Lyon is injured and won't be able to bat.
Nathan Lyon came out to bat and it is a matter of time that England fold their innings but the target right now is 355 runs plus the runs they will be able to add in the last wicket and Australia will be bowling the bouncers just like the England bowlers and it is not an easy target to get in the final innings. With the attacking game if the openers give them a good start then it will be interesting.
Idk how he's walking atm, everyone (media, commentators) did all the theatrics of his walking on crutches and not being able to walk at all for a few days but here he is?

Must be a brave call from the Lyon or the injury wasn't that serious. Aur maybe these fuckers chutiya bana rahe hai public ko.  Grin Grin

I believe Poms have a chance to level a series 1-1.

In the first innings England scored 325 runs. The team had good start, and the bottom order failed to score. Maybe if they've added little more runs the total could've reached around 380 runs. The last five wickets contributed just 65 runs. Australia have set a target of 370 runs, and we can expect this match to be more fighting. Solid performance from few players with centuries would make the target reachable.

England's bouncer tactics are boring as hell. Australia is playing very sensibly which is why such tactics are pointless against them at the moment. None of their bowlers are able to produce the much needed breakthrough.

Australia might even end up providing a lead close to 420 at the rate at which they are going sealing the game and possibly the series too.
It's not just England but Australia also followed the short ball and well directed bouncer tactics as there is hardly any lateral movement.

In the previous test match it was the tail players who were the game changers. Pat Cummins played well in both the innings scoring 38 runs and 44* runs at the very critical situation in a much responsible manner. Maybe if his wicket have fallen, England could've won the first test match. Australia leads 350 runs and somehow the tail will contribute another 50 runs. This time the match will come closer and Australia will win the match with its best bowling line-up.

Australia's innings will be big. Because England's bowlers and batsmen are not playing well. Australia collected 416 runs in the first innings. And the Australian team collected 130 runs after losing 2 wickets in the second innings. Gradually they are moving towards big collections. Since the Australian team has already managed to take a lead of 221 runs, if Australia can collect 150 runs in the next day, it will be a big collection. However, I expected more responsible batting from England in the first innings. Had Bairstow and Stokes played some big innings, England would have been able to muster 400.
I think Australia is in very positive situation right now.
First session of day 4 will give better prediction on the match. Even now Australia is at the winning position with its 221 lead and 8 more wickets in hand. Khawaja, who served to be the turn in the first test match is on the crease reaching his half century. On the other side Smith have just started his batting. Anyhow the team will reach atleast 450 runs lead and request England to start their innings. Same as the first match England will lose the match getting close to the target.

England can still win this one if they manage to restrict Australia to under 350 turning this test into an ODI. However, they will most probably lose if Australia manage to give them a target over 370.

Carey, Green and Cummins are the remaining proper batsmen currently. Looks like this one will go down to the wire too.
Maybe, but with the performance same as the first innings England can never think of winning the match. Australia were already leading 315 runs while the second innings score is 225, more 125 runs will make the lead to be around 450 runs. This is going to be difficult target to reach. In the history of test cricket, the highest target reached is 418 runs and this happened 20 years back.

Observing the game closely, one cannot overlook the impact of the pitch's variation over the days. It has undeniably influenced the proceedings. England was stable until the fall of the 5th wicket, but the subsequent loss of wickets in quick succession ended their innings prematurely, didnt it?

Despite a lineup dominated by fast bowlers, the batting errors provided Australia with a substantial lead. Such situations tend to turn the tide of a match, dont they? However, the match is unlikely to conclude on the 4th day, keeping the hopes alive, albeit marginally. The dynamics of cricket are unpredictable, and sometimes, the best strategies fall short, isnt that right?

Defiantly match wont be over on day 4, as Australia need to give target of over 400 runs to be in safe so game will go to 5th day. England were bowl out in first session while Aussies batting is stable till stumps of day three. England were taking Aussie bowling for granted and were playing test like an ODI/T20. Both Smith and Khawaja are ideal test batsmen and England need to bowl them out as quickly as possible.

The lead has now gone past 200. Usman Khawaja is now at the crease with Steven Smith and Australia looks set to impose a target of 400 plus. Looks like another win for the Australians this time. England bowlers looks toothless at this moment, especially the pacers. Even Josh Tongue seems to be struggling. I guess they need to bring on their best bower (Joe Root) and give him an extended spell. This is the third day, so we are almost assured of a result this time. Plenty of time remains for Australia to bowl out England when they come out to bat.

England have given away the match from there own hands and now its up to Australia that whether they want to extend lead or bowl out in first session of 4th day just like England. England were so much well placed at stumps of day 2 but don't know what happen with them on third day first session. Joe Root hasn't been introduced till now but he has done well in first innings by picking 2 wickets. I don't think any English bowler can undo the damage done by English batsmen in first innings.

I was actually a little surprised to see the performance of England on this day. They should have performed a lot better, to be honest. They have lost six wickets in the span of 46 runs(279-325). I thought England was actually going to get a lead at least. But now Australia has complete control of this match. it is only the end of the third day and Australia has a lead of 221. Australia still has eight wickets in hand and regardless to say that they still have two very good batsmen, Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja in the middle. I don’t think England is going to win this test match in this situation.

First session of the third day was where things turned in the favour of Australia. England should have at least leveled Australia first innings score of 416 run but they ended up giving them a lead of 91 runs. IMO there is little chance of England getting back into the game from here unless there bowlers do some miracle on day 4. Usman Khawaja is well set on 58 and it will be challenging to bowl him out before he score another test hundred.

Found out that Allan Border who is easily one of the greatest legends of all-time has Parkinson's disease which is an extremely scary disease. It is a nervous system related disease which affects dopamine levels.

Smith already overtook Waugh and is on his way to overtaking Border pretty soon coincidentally in the Ashes.
