I don't think New Zealand can take the lead after the first day's batting disaster. My estimate was that New Zealand would score 100-180 runs at most. But the New Zealand team managed to collect 180 runs with the help of Phillips' 87 runs. Miraj and Taijul picked up three wickets each. Shoriful as Nayeem managed to pick up two wickets. After bowling just 4 overs, Shoriful and Nayeem managed to pick up two wickets each.

Bangladesh lost Joy's wicket in batting. Joy could collect only 2 runs. Now Bangladesh's collection is 38 runs after losing 1 wicket.

New Zealand could not add any more runs to the scoreboard after Glenn Phillips returned to the dressing room. New Zealand managed to take a lead of 8 runs. I would say this collection is very good in first innings. Because their innings had a terrible start.

Phillips and Daryl Mitchel's partnership was crucial. These two batsmen were able to perform the instruction of the day very well. This is why New Zealand managed to collect up to 180 runs. Also Jemieson and Southee's innings of 20 and 14 runs respectively were much needed.

New Zealand scored good runs today as New Zealand were 55 for five at the end of the first day but lone batsman Glenn Phillips was able to hold on to an edge to bring the innings to 170 runs. But there are still two wickets left and if the two wickets can form a good partnership then they can give Bangladesh the lead. If New Zealand gives 100 runs to Bangladesh then it will be difficult for Bangladesh to defend in the second innings. Because Bangladesh's top order batsmen are performing very badly, there will be more chances of defeat for Bangladesh if New Zealand takes the lead.

Second day of the second test is completely stopped due to rain. If today's full day's play of this test is stopped due to rain, the next three days of the match will have to be played in two full innings. In this case, I have no other option but to abandon the second Test due to the weather conditions in Bangladesh. And if the game starts then New Zealand's next batsmen will not perform well. Yes, Bangladeshi bowlers caught the New Zealand batters at the first. Bangladeshi team performance is very excellent and they can win this match . If rain didn't interfare in the next three days ,then there are more chances of win of Bangladesh cricket team. Home ground helped a lot to Bangladeshi team.

I know, Bangladeshi Cricket team plays good only in their home ground and in foreign country their batting and bowling collapse.No man expected that kind of performance from Bangladeshi cricket team. op I agree with you. Due to batting failure of Bangladesh 2023 World Cup is very bad as batting failure is the reason of losing every match. Bangladesh started their 2023 World Cup mission with only a win against Afghanistan and got a win against Afghanistan. When in the first test against New Zealand, I thought there were two experienced batsmen, Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan. The team may not be able to do very well due to the absence of these two experienced players, but under the leadership of Nazmul Hasan Shanta, they beat New Zealand by a huge margin in the first test with a fairly good batting and bowling performance. Coming to the second test, Bangladesh again suffered from batting failure and Bangladesh was all out for 172 runs. Bangladesh scored 172/10 in 2nd test match in first day where i haven't found any mentionable batsman who is worth mentionable for good score while Mushfiqur Rahim's unusual (obstructing the field) result disappointed most of bd supporters and Mitchell Santner & Glenn Phillips fot 3 wickets each but i wonder how Bangladesh took wickets and stop new Zealand within 55/5 where Mehidy Hasan Miraz got 3 wickets. I think Bangladesh could stopped rest of batsmans within low score but today match abandoned due to rain. Even there is possiblity to rain tomorrow all the day. It seems rain want to keep interfering for change the final result.
