Bangladesh going from bad to worst. Niether their batters are able to play the Indian pace bowlers nor the spinners. Almost all their top batters are out. If the tail enders again perform like they did in the ODIs then Bangladesh management should change their batting position to middle order. Match is completely being controlled by the Indian team. Zero excitement left in this match for now.
LOL.. and all this after having India at 48/3. Bangladesh are now 97/5 and they need another hundred or so runs just to avoid follow on. And it is the second string Indian bowlers who took all the wickets till now. Mohammed Siraj has three wickets to his name, and Umesh Yadav/Kuldeep Yadav have one each. No one in the Bangladesh lineup could manage a score of above 30. Highest score as of now is 24 from Litton Kumer Das. Mushfiqur Rahim and Nurul Hasan are at the crease now, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz to come next.
@Sithara007 this performance by Bangladesh once again proves that Bangladesh are yet to improve in this format, and if they yet fail to improve in this match then they’ll surely suffer an heavy defeat. Also lots of credit goes to Kuldeep what an performance by him, and I personally feel that he’ll get more wickets if Bangladesh manage to stretch it to a second innings.
It is very interesting to see how Bangladesh has not improved in the one format which is the oldest in cricket. And Bangladesh once did better in test cricket at least in Bangladesh because players like Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah were in their prime.
At that time, even though Bangladesh was not winning the test series back-to-back, they were at least bringing in respectable results. However, this generation of Bangladesh cricketers is not in their prime anymore. The new players are just not setting themselves up to their standards or even close to it.
I think we can see that from the relatively new players that played in this match. Nazmul Hossain Shanto was again a failure. I really do not understand how he is still on the team. And Yasir Ali is another failure, who fails to contribute to the team in any format. At the end of day two, Bangladesh was 133/8 and they are still 271 runs behind. From this point on India should be able to win the Test match easily.
