Needless to say, because everyone knows that Bangladesh does not play well in Test matches. But I never thought it would be so bad. I thought Liton-Shakib would be a good partnership but it didn't happen. Mominul has been playing badly since a few Tests. On the other hand, Mushfiqur is not in the team. I think it is normal. Because it is Bangladesh team brother

Well done Bangladesh!

I agree with Sithara, they are so used to play on spin track that most of the time they perform bad on fast deck, except couple of instance in every year or so. May be diversifying pitches back at home could help as they won't get to play many tests away from home (SENA mostly).

6 of Bangladeshi batsmen got out without scoring any run. West Indies are not in good form these days but now it look like this series will help WI in gaining there form back. Bangladesh team performance in test is far from improving. Afghanistan is much better test side then Bangladesh.

Two consecutive Tests have now seen Bangladesh equal the unwanted record of most ducks in an innings. In the first match against Sri Lanka, 6 Bangladeshi batsmen were out without scoring a run; now the same thing is happening against the West Indies. The Bangladesh Test performance is a disgrace and an utter embarrassment.

I was thinking that New Zealand would perform exceptionally well in this series, but England seems to be revived under Stokes and McCullum partnership. Lastly I believe that New Zealand will bounce back strongly in tests, because they have player’s who excel in this format hence just a matter of time before they start winning again.
New Zealand also lost two Tests. There is no way to say they played badly. The performance of the New Zealand players was good enough. But in both the matches, England's players have been batting incredibly well in the 2nd innings. England won the last match because of Bairstow's innings of 136 off 92 balls. Hopefully the last match will also be competitive.
Eagerly waiting for the last match and I hope this time Newzealand wins it. They have not at all perfomed well but they need to work more on the batting. Only two batters have performed well in this series and other batters need to contribute in the last match.

I didn't think New Zealand batted too badly. New Zealand played well enough in the first innings of both matches. But in the second innings, England's players became more destructive. England won the first Test thanks to Joe Root's unbeaten 115 runs. And the second Test was won by England thanks to Jonny Bairstow's devastating 136 off 92 balls. While New Zealand can play well, England are more experienced at home. So they won.

It was depressing to watch Bangladesh getting destroyed at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. Shakib Al Hasan managed to hit a century before he ran out of partners, and this enabled Bangladesh to reach three digits. And just two other batsmen managed to reach double digits (Tamim Iqbal and Litton Das). Bangladesh always perform like this when they are playing abroad. They use the home conditions to their advantage and prepare dust bowls, but when they travel abroad they don't have any such luxury at their disposal.

I agree that Bangladesh has batted very badly, but Bangladesh still has ample opportunity to get back on track and win. West Indies lost two wickets for 72 runs. But I wouldn't be surprised if the West Indies lose all their wickets in 180 overs. There is a possibility of this. My guess is that the West Indies will lose all their wickets in the first session of the day. If Bangladesh can bat well in the second innings then the match will be enjoyable and competitive.

Bangladesh's innings ended with 103 runs. We know Bangladesh are weak in Test format, but I didn't think they would play so badly and bat so badly against West Indies. I am not saying that the bowlers of the West Indies are very experienced.
The two West Indies openers are batting very responsibly. They have scored 15 runs in 15 overs. It looks like the West Indies is ready to this match in any way.
West Indies is going to win the match by an innings for sure. They are playing with the proper plans. Their players have the patience to play the test match. Bangladesh team isn't perfect for the test match. 6 batsman of Bangladesh team got out in zero run. I'm wondering why the team management still taking Mominul in the squad. He hasn't played any great innings in last 10-12 test matches. BCB should focus on finding better players for test format.

Looking at the performance of Bangladeshi batsmen, it seemed that the pitch was batting friendly. Now looking at the batting of West Indies it seems I was wrong. West Indies have scored 44 runs and have not lost a wicket yet. The interesting thing is that the run rate of West Indies is now only 1.8. The West Indies batsmen are batting very carefully. However, Bangladesh is going to lose this match very badly.

West Indies  vs  Bangladesh

The West Indies team is going to face Bangladesh in the first Test match shortly. We all know that Bangladesh is weak in Test format. On the other hand, the situation in the West Indies is not very good. But in the last Test series, the West Indies won against a strong team like England. They drew two of the three matches, and won one.So that, I want to keep West Indies ahead in this Test series. Because the performance of the players of the Bangladesh team is very irregular.
However, in today's match, Shakib Al Hasan will be the captain of the Bangladesh team instead of Mominul. Looking forward to seeing how to fit he is as a captain.
West Indies won the toss and elected to field. And Bangladesh lost two wickets to collect 3 runs in the first 3 overs. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Nazmul Hossain Shanto could not collect any runs. All 16 runs of Bangladesh's scoreboard came from Tamim Iqbal's bat. In this match, I would expect big innings from Tamim, Liton, and Shakib. Otherwise Bangladesh will be defeated very badly.
Former Bangladesh captain Muminul Hoque has continued his poor performance. Everyone thought that if Muminul was released from the captaincy then maybe his performance would be better. But Muminul Haque returned to the dressing room with zero runs as usual in today's match. Bangladesh lost their third wicket by 16 runs. Liton and Tamim are batting now. The two most experienced batsmen in the Bangladesh squad.
So far, the West Indies have taken advantage and made the most of cloudy skies by bowling first. The first session has already produced six wickets. If you're a Bangladeshi fan, it's really disappointing to see that their four batsmen have been out with zero runs. There is the possibility that Bangladesh will go all out soon, but fans can rely on captain Shakib and Mehidy Hasan.

First of all, I wasn't expecting New Zealand to perform exceptionally well. Before the series against England, they had a disastrous home series against Bangladesh where the visitors managed to win one test match. And before that, they lost the away series to India. At least in test format, New Zealand is not performing up to the mark for quite some time now. I am not exactly clear regarding what went wrong for them after winning the World Test Championship in 2021. There was a sudden slump in form, from which they are yet to recover.

Right now New Zealand is really trying to concentrate on the shorter format of cricket because they have already won the world test cricket championship. With the cricket world cup coming up the only makes sense that they are concentrating on the shorter format and that is the only explanation there is I think.

Playing in away conditions has put a lot of pressure on them in my opinion and they are not being able to get used to the conditions. It has taken a big toll on their performance. They are playing really bad in test cricket right now. They are even losing the matches that they should easily be winning.

New Zealand players are more suited to the longer format, when compared to limited overs cricket. It is their strength and I don't think that they will ignore this format. Both their batsmen (Kane Williamson, Tom Blundell.etc) and the bowlers (Kyle Jamieson, Neil Wagner.etc) are tailor made for test format. Only a few such as Trent Boult and Devon Conway have proved to be consistent performers in limited overs cricket. The excuse of not getting used to the conditions is flimsy. The team is jampacked with experienced players, and weather and ground conditions in England are similar to those back home in New Zealand.
Whatever is happening with Newzealand side does not matter as the last two test matches were really very interesting. After so many years I am enjoying a test series. England homeground advantage is helping them a lot as I won't say Newzealand performance has been bad. It is only Mitchell and Blundell who have shown consistent batting performance. In the last match no one knew that Bairstow will bat so well.

^^ They had a very easy outing in last cycle, they played most of the (3) series at home in comparison to 2 away series, 1 against Australia in which Kiwis got whitewashed and 1 draw series against SL. Last series got cancelled due to covid and it helped them with the percentage wise, otherwise Australia was the next contender for the finals.

I don't think NZ or any SENA country (Even India) take this position regarding test cricket.

I don't believe in this notion that Kiwis are not familiar with English condition, they have more or less same condition back at home. It's just that Poms really playing well in this series, also injuries in NZ's camp is another factor.
