Day 3 has ended just now. England need 61 more runs to win the match. They have 5 wickets in hand. The match is completely in favour of England team now. But unexpected things may happen tomorrow. Because, the first session is very difficult for the batsmen in this pitch. We have seen quick wicket fall in the first session every day. The first innings and the second innings is entirely different. Match is getting close to the result, and England is more strong for now. Already 5 wickets lost, but the runs required for the win is just 81 runs. Foakes and Root are taking the right moment to score. Root is on the scoring side and Foakes is giving good support facing the balls. Losing 4 runs for 69 and moving towards a win for 277 runs seems to be really interesting.

Technically they should have been 5 (Ben Stokes) down if it wasn't for Colin de Grandhomme. He knocked out his stumps and kinda won the battle but it was a no ball, poor guy.

I agree with you. If New Zealand can get back on track in their second innings and bat well, why can't England? England's batsmen are very talented and experienced. And they are more familiar with this Lord's pitch than the New Zealand players. However, if the target goes beyond 300 or 350, then it will be very difficult to win in this field. It is almost impossible to win by batting for such a big target in the last innings. So England bowlers should try to end New Zealand's innings in the first session.
