India won the toss and elected to bat in the first Test against South Africa. They have collected 72 runs without losing any wicket. My prediction about this match is that India will win this match without any major obstacles. I don't think the South African team is too strong now. . Their performance is of average quality. On the other hand, the Indian team is very experienced. The match between India and South Africa is likely to be more competitive than the one-sided match between Australia and England.

Though SA is not as strong as India but they will defiantly fight better then what we are seeing in Ashes. Indian team was not in form but its just the right series for there players to get back in there form. First session of this match belongs to India as they scored 83 without losing any wicket. SA so far tried 6 bowlers but no success.

I also expected England to return to their former form in this Test after losing two Tests in a row and fight hard to win. But their performance is as weak as the first two test. After this series, England should host a Test series against a team like Sri Lanka, West Indies or Bangladesh. Playing against a weaker team will allow players to return to form.

This is hilarious. With this batting and bowling performance I am sure even Banglades, SL and WI can beat them easily. England need a strong opening pairs current pair of Haseeb / Crawley are a drastic failure. A strong opening pair can give some hope to middle order to capitalise. So far nothing has gone in England favour.

England team lost the form very terribly. After a badly defeated in the first two Test matches, the first day of the third Test was also a horror for them. They lost all the wickets for just 185 runs. Root has scored 50 runs for the team. Australia's collection at the end of the first day is 61/1. Australia still lagging 124.
Everyone thought that 3rd test match will be tight as England will try hard to win 3rd test but it seems like England have surrendered for this Ashes. Both teams are very much balanced but its Australia who is dominating every aspect of game while England is playing like an associate team.

Anyway Centurion is SA's Gabba. Their numbers are very dominating there. Win = 21 , Lost = 2
India won the toss and elected to bat and hopefully it is a good decision as the pitch gets faster in the second and third day. Ajinkya Rahane is in the team and hopefully he delivers, if not he should be replaced forever and his career is in the line. Three fast bowlers and a medium pacer with a spinner and it is a good bowling combination and why is Rohit Sharma not in the playing eleven, is he injured ? .
I have missed the first hour of the game but now tuned in and extremely happy with the positive start. It was gutsy call from the Kohli to bat first.

Disappointed for Vihari, Mumbai's lobby always get what it wants and Rahane enjoying that big rope. Agree he should be drop for good but what would happen if he finds some form here? Guess he'll get another long rope for next 6-7 matches, as usual.

I am having hopes of India winning a match and if they are able to win the series it will be history as South Africa is hard to beat in their home soil and India coming with victory over Australia and England and if they continue the same pattern it would be great. The best part is that India has world class bowlers which they lacked when they used to tour earlier and if the batsman clicks then it will be an interesting series.
Nothing wrong with that. We do have good test team and excellent seam attack which could test Proteas batters. I remember our last tour of South Africa, our bowlers were extremely impressive and batters equally shit lol.

There is no comparison of SA squad with India squad. Though India has not very good test record at SA they have so far won only 3 test at SA and never won any test series there. Its a very good chance for india to better there record at SA, hope that kohli BCCI row won't effect this test series.
Indian team looks far better than the SA side. India has won the toss and decided to bat first. I am doubtful about the performance of Virat Kohli, Pujara and Rahane. The middle order has been out of form and if the opener are not able to score good runs on the board then SA might have an upper edge.

If India can't win test series with this squad I am afraid they can never win series in SA. India has shown a good performance against NZ in recent home series though kohli wasn't able to fire up in that series. India is too good at there home soil let's see if they can replicate same at SA today.

The third test has started. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first. I would say it is a good decision as England has already lost 2 wickets and have only 14 runs on the scoreboard. Malan and Root are on the pitch. In my opinion, they both need to stay there till the end of day 1 as after both of them no one has been able to score.

185 and its all over for England, they can't even bat for one complete day. Root is the only one who contributed something that saved England from humiliation, root scored 50 and was top scorer. I don't know why England have selected haseeb as opener for Ashes squad. He is yet to reach in double figures this Ashes.

The England's woe still continue. They are about to get all out for total of below 200 runs. Only skipper Joe Root managed to score an half century and highly expected man to deliver Ben Stokes made 25 runs for his part. For Australia skipper Pat Cummins is leading the wicket tally 3 scalps. By the way how the first innings of England gone so far, I assume Australia already has put one hand on the Ashes trophy.

Scott Boland is making his debut today. Bowled 5 wicketless overs so far, but he looks good.
Yeah, this latest debutant is impressive and got his maiden wicket by trapping Mark Wood for a leg before wicket. Hope he may continues his impressive run in upcoming matches as well; Australia is always blessed with lots of such amazing talents.

Malan is gone now. Cummins has so far taken all three wickets to fall before lunch and England is struggling at 61/3. The good news for England is that Joe Root looks to be in fine firm. He has made 33 so far. BTW, Scott Boland is making his debut today. Bowled 5 wicketless overs so far, but he looks good. So for the pace combination it is going to be Cummins/Starc/Boland, with Richardson and Neser replaced from the playing XI from the last test. Disappointed for Richardson, since he took 5 wickets in the second innings at Adelaide.

Green was not in playing 11 in second test. Jhye Richardson had a major leg injury, its not clear whether he will joining the playing 11 or not. England may be in poor form but we can't say its all over for them. 3rd test will be interesting as England will try to bounce back while Australia will try to maintain there supremacy.

Confusing. Here is the scorecard for the second test:
https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/the-ashes-2021-22-1263452/australia-vs-england-2nd-test-1263463/full-scorecard

I could see the name of Cameron Green there. BTW, I was unaware of Jhye Richardson's surgery. I guess Richardson will be replaced by Cummins, and Neser will be replaced by Boland. Anyway, as things stand, In would say that Australia is having the advantage over England. I would expect them to go up 3-0. It would require a miracle from the part of England to turn things around.

RSA was not doubt very hard side to play at there home soil but it was when they have players pollack, gibbs, Smith in there sides. Right now they don't have such strong team. There side is weaken because of quota system introduced by there board. Asian teams were very weak in South but not anymore. Recently Pakistan won ODI and T20 series in SA.

Cameron Green was not in the playing XI for the second test? I think he was in the side. So the only change will be Boland in the place of Neser. I heard that Jhye Richardson maybe rested and in that case someone else maybe replacing him (in all probability Pat Cummins). Now three tests remain - one each at MCG, SCG and Hobart (the final one being D/N). As of now, it looks as if Australia is going to whitewash this series. England batting is in poor form (apart from Root/Malan), and apart from Broad/Anderson, the bowlers are not picking wickets.
