Sledging is just a part of the game and Bangladeshis need to get along. The only solution is to give it back with the same intensity. India was at the receiving end a decade or so ago. I guess it was Sreesanth who first retaliated against this practice (during a match with Australia). Now Kohli and his boys have gone a step further and are being regarded as some of the worst bullies in international cricket. So there are two options - either you need to ignore the sledging, or you need to retaliate with the same potency.

India is no more a team we see 15 years back. Because of IPL and BCCI increased strength in ICC no player including Aussies indulge themselves in arguments with Indian Players. King Kohli is indian prime player and you can lose your IPL contract if you offend him. Several Australian players were scared to sledge Virat Kohli or other Indian players to save IPL contracts: Michael Clarke

Agree with you, ICC shouldn't allow any home or away team umpires in international series. A neutral umpire will make the decision less questionable. All of the players and team management of Bangladesh are dissatisfied with the umpires decision. Each team have the option to take review, but they don't do it always as the number of reviews are limited (2 review per innings). The captain of Bangladesh has also said about the intolerable sledging of South African players. They will ask ICC to take steps against those: Bangladesh to lodge formal complaint with ICC against Durban Test umpiring

I don’t know if complaining about the umpire will make any difference, because ICC won’t be changing their rules relating to umpires hence this issue is bound to persist. Also you’ll are absolutely correct about sledging being part of the game, and Bangladesh needs to learn from Indian wicket keeper Pant and use it to their own advantage.

I really don't understand what is the problem with Bangladesh batsmen in test cricket. do they need to go to the restroom right after they come to the crease?

I really don't understand what is the problem. it's not like we don't have good enough players to play test cricket. we do have there like Mushfiqur Rahim, Mominul Haque and others who can play really well. in my opinion I think it's just the mentality because they are playing more freely in oneday internationals and T20. But in Test cricket, I think they are under a certain pressure to prove themselves.
After watching highlights of this match I am feeling there were no problems with Bangladesh batting it's all about umpiring which kill their dream of first win in this match in presence of the latest technology and all things still decisions like these are not acceptable and surely ICC needs to act with some stick hands because we can't afford things like these in test cricket if we want to bring some good interesting results and better crowd.

Hopefully now after complaint from BCB, ICC will think again about neutral umpiring and give some better use of technology as well because it needs some quick and better response if you want positive things in test cricket. Maharaj was hero for South Africa in their first win in this series, congrats to them for their this win.

I think ICC should give green light to neutral umpires again, covid is here to stay and teams are frequently travelling so why not neutral umpires for any series? I don't think in modern times home umpires are intentionally give biased decision(due to technology) but having neutral umpires is fair practice, at least then no one would accused them of being biased and might concentrate on main problem, which is bad umpiring (ICC Elite Panel).

I just checked score of final day and was expecting a tough contest but shocked to see Bangladesh bowled out at 53 runs. Bangladesh managed to win odi series here and have done extremely good by bowling out SA for 204 runs. Don't know what to say about Bangladesh performance, its just shocking.

The Test match between Bangladesh and South Africa came to an end. As expected, South Africa won the match. To everyone's surprise, Bangladesh ended their second innings with just 53 runs. We know that Bangladesh is weak in Test format. But I did not think that they would end the innings with only 53 runs. Because they did a great job in the ODI series. Their batting was also good in the first innings.
In the second innings, the score of 5 batsmen in Bangladesh is zero. We know that South Africa is playing with their second-tier bowlers. Keshav Maharaj bowled 10 overs and took 7 wickets and Harmer took 3 wickets in 9 overs.
Bangladesh should be more focused on the test format. We are annoyed to see their terrible performance.

After watching SA vs Ban 4th day's highlight. It looks like Bongbros were hard done by the umpire's call, plenty of decisions went against them. I understand umpiring is not an easy task but damn most of the decisions were absolutely plumb. Bongs managed to undo some damage by using DRS but still they missed out couple of em.

Yeah, Umpiring has been a problem since the start of cricket. It is not going to be solved quickly. A neutral umpire was the best decision to solve some problems in my opinion but after the coronavirus situation, everything went back as it was.

I always think that when an umpire is involved in a match where his country is playing it is always going to be a little unfair to the other team. It is in the Genetics of humans so nothing can be done. Neutral umpires should be available again.

-snip-
In the second innings SA all out in 204 runs, BAN need 274 runs. In replay three crucial wickets were down in just six over before stumps the day of 4. Bangladesh hopes of victory as SA give a target of 274 runs. But, after getting quick wickets South Africa in control heading into the last day. Taking into account how the pitch is functioning, it's to be expected. It's very much possible SA's blowers will grab all rest of the wickets in the first season of the final day. But, Bangladeshi players can return tomorrow?

To be honest, I don't know how Bangladesh still has the test status. Bangladesh is one of the worst teams in test cricket, even worse than Afghanistan.
I thought they had a decent chance to win the match or at least draw but they let everybody down and just got all out only for 53

Bangladeshi players won't be able to return in the game. The target isn't so much. But they are showing pathetic batting performance. Only few overs were left for the day 4. The openers should have saved their wickets. I was expecting a draw at least. It won't be possible anymore. Perhaps, Bangladesh will be all out in the first season of tomorrow. They may longer the game to second season, but they won't be able to comeback in match.

Bangladesh could not do anything. they could not even stand in front of the opponent's bowling attack.
I thought they had a good chance of achieving at least something from that match but now I think there really should not have the test status.

Bangladesh was in a great position as they were able to restrict South Africa at a low score and the target is not that big, but they already lost their top three and the match depends upon how long Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das can bat in the final day. If they are planning to go on a defensive mode then South Africa will pack them before the first two sessions but hopefully they will go for the win rather than a defensive play.

Bangladesh lost the match and South Africa won the match by 220 runs. Bangladesh were all out only for 53 Run. really dumb performance by a Bangladesh batsman.
and what actually funny is that the second-highest scorer of the Bangladesh team in the second innings was Taskin Ahmed.  Cheesy

After South African second inning I was feeling great about Bangladesh chances in this test match because they already won ODI series and with current form and confidence there was chance for visitors to win this first test match and having chance for historic test win here in South Africa but sadly their start is very ordinary, and they lost in just six overs with 11 runs on board and Maharaj is going to kill them tomorrow and going to ruin their chances of win test match at South African soil.
Even in presence of Shanto and Rahim they have some chance but Maharaj is key for home side, and now he is good experienced bowler which is surely going to kill their dreams even he was wicket less in first inning Durban could be dream place for Bangladesh team as still need 263 runs with 7 wickets in hand and all day to chase this all.

Well, I have news for you. Bangladesh did not even reach 60. They were all out for only 53.
I really don't know how to describe this. certainly one of the lowest scores in Test cricket ever in my opinion.

Because of biased umpiring and the sight screen incident, we're forced to question the integrity of the home team and thus the spirit of the game. Regarding the appointment of neutral umpires, I humbly request authorities consideration. The International Cricket Council should consider this. So many decisions have been overturned as a result of bad umpiring not for the first time in sports history.

As a result of Keshav Maharaj's special performance in the second inning, Bangladesh are bowled out for 53. It was a deserved win for South Africa, they won by 220 runs. We used to see South Africa always produce fast bowling pitches when it was a spinner-friendly track. We can see the results of having taken a knee before a match! Bangladesh batted poorly in the second innings, getting out within less than an hour.
Never heard any major incident regarding Sight screen, yes there could be minor disturbance to batters but it's normally due to some random spectator or lazy ground worker roaming around so hardly a "against the spirit of the game"

Man!! Never seen spinners winning a match in South Africa, like never. Wish SA offer such pitches to Indians too  Grin. Not always but once a while, it won't hurt.

South Africa is not having their main bowlers in this tournament because they are playing in the IPL and even in that situation they lost 3 to order wicket while chasing and it is not going to be easy for them. They have an entire day to win the match but they lack the batsman of high quality to play the anchor role, but if they are able to then it would be historic.

I will be surprised if Bangladesh batting continue in the third session tomorrow.

Bangladeshi bowlers have done a good job by bowling out SA at 204 runs. In reply Bangladesh batting is disappointed as 3 out of 4 top order batsmen are back in the pavilion on just 11 run. On Day 5, Bangladesh will need 263 runs to win while SA need 7 more wickets to win. Bangladesh had good opportunity to win this test but they have very much lost that.

South Africa may not have their first-class bowlers in the squad. Yet those in the squad are talented enough. And I think these bowlers are enough to win against Bangladesh. I think so because there are very few batsmen who can be relied on in the Bangladesh team. Their patience is very low. There are no suitable players for the Test format. However, Bangladesh lost three valuable wickets for just 11 runs. 263 more runs were needed to win. If Bangladesh wants to win then Mushfiqur and. Experienced players like Liton have to play well.

Bangladesh should not go for the defensive approach. Scoring approach will help Bangladesh, because the score isn't big. If Bangladesh manage to follow scoring approach it can reach 200 runs easily losing two more wickets. Surely this will transfer some pressure on South Africa. Maybe that can be used as the right moment to score and win the match. Anyhow these are all just predictions, and the reality is with South Africa's confident performance.
Defensive mood is very bad for Bangladesh. Though it is a test match, they need to play like ODI. No matter it is test or ODI, they need to win this match because target isn't so high. They have already lost 3 important wickets but still have opportunity to win this match. They need to bat well in the last day so that they can manage to draw at least.
