This Evil_IPL was sarcasm.

Having said that as cricket fan i really beilieve that no player should abandon their national duties for any franchise cricket, even if its IPL. At the same time cricket board should think about contracted players too. They shouldn't offer peanuts to players and then complain about they are ignoring the national duties.

Just to give you 1 example.

Sir, as per my understanding its the board who releases his player for IPL and without board NOC you can't play IPL. IPL not only pays the player but also board a handsome money to release its player's. In the end its a win win situation for everyone in terms of financial gain at the expense of national cause. Same SA board refuses to spare its players for PSL earlier this year since not much money is being payed so national duty first.

CSA wants players to prioritise immediate international and domestic commitments

Didn't watch a single ball so don't know how pitch is behaving but if this pitch also has similar characteristic as other South African pitches then i guess Proteas already has enough runs on the board. Only problem with Protea atm is their bowling lineup. We shouldn't forget that their premier bowlers are not available for this series due to EVIL_IPL.
Bangladesh should exploit Protea's bowling weakness with the bat, if they want to see some sort of success.
Bongs are going to Miss Tamim and Shakib for sure.
Though South Africa's bowling is weak, Bangladesh's squad has few experienced players for the Test format. And so even if South Africa's bowling lineup is weak, it is not certain whether Bangladesh will be able to play well.
Bangladesh has already lost 3 wickets, their collection is only 94. If Mushfiqur and Miraj can't play well today, then maybe bangladesh will finish their innings before 200 runs. We have seen poor batting of Bangladesh many times in the past.
At the end of the second day, Bangladesh collected only 98 runs. But they lost 4 wickets. I expected some more responsible batting. Bangladesh is still behind by 269 runs. Maybe Liton, Miraz and Joy will play well. If they can build a good partnership, Bangladesh will be able to collect 300 runs. Otherwise, Bangladesh will lose all their wickets in the first session tomorrow.

Now it seems to me that Bangladesh's victory or defeat depends entirely on tomorrow's first session. If Bangladesh can finish the first session tomorrow without losing any wicket, they will be able to collect more than 300 runs easily. This will increase the chances of the match being drawn. And if Bangladesh starts losing wickets in the first session then I think they will lose all the wickets before 200 runs. However, talented players like Miraz and Liton are not out yet.
Already Bangladesh have lost 4 wickets. So, reaching 300 runs is a big thing. Even if there is no wicket fall during the morning session Bangladesh won't reach 300 runs. If it was in Bangladesh ground it could've happened. The game is being played in South African pitch where SA players have the advantage. Anyhow Bangladesh is improving with time, and lets wait and see.

Why EVIL_IPL mate ? You are an Indian and must be proud of the fact that foreigners are leaving national fixtures to attend a league in your country? If South Africa board and players don't care of losing to team like Bangladesh then why blaming ipl for that?

A current South African player in the IPL will earn more from the tournament this season than if he spent 13 years as a nationally contracted player. That is staggering even without going as far as analysing how many players stay nationally contracted for more than a decade

South Africa - Bangladesh

South Africa lost three wickets at the start of the second day. At the moment their collection is 298 runs, losing 7 wickets. Bangladeshi bowlers are dominating the first session of the second day. There are no experienced batsmen in the crease now. Bangladeshi bowlers have a good chance to take all the wickets of South Africa within 330. If South Africa's innings ends between 320/330 runs, then Bangladesh will be able to fight well and the match will be competitive and enjoyable.

South Africa lost their seventh wicket for 298 runs and lost one more wicket before adding any runs to the scoreboard. Simon Hermer and Lizaad Williams are now at the crease. They don't seem to bat well for a long. South Africa scored 314 runs. And they will probably finish their innings before 340. If Bangladesh batsmen can bat well, South Africa will not be able to win this match. But I don't trust Bangladeshi batsmen.

Bangladesh did lose early wickets but I really believe they will be able to get a good amount of runs because they have a lot of batting to come. I know that test cricket is not the strongest format for Bangladesh but I think they are getting better at this format day by day.  Right now the score is 62 runs at the loss of one wicket.

Well we can't predict result of test match based on first innings batting. South Africa right now have scored 314 runs and only 2 wickets left. 300 is quite a decent score and Bangladesh need to play well to level this score or take lead. Temba Bavuma is the man whose 93 helped South Africa to cross 300.

My guess is that by the end of the first day, South Africa might have collected more than 280. But at the end of the first day, they scored 233 runs in 76.5 overs. If they manage to collect around 450 then South Africa will be able to control the match completely. But if they lose all their wickets before 350, then Bangladesh will have ample opportunity to draw or win the match. If South Africa can play well in today's first session, they will be able to collect more than 400 easily.

South Africa had a good opening stand of 117 runs and at that moment it looks like on stumps South Africa will easily cross 250. But they lost 4 wickets in quick intervals and that's why they concluded day 1 on 233. Still they are not in very bad situation, if they can score 350 or more they will be very much in the game..

I thought that South Africa would score lots of runs easily, but at end of day one they have scored just 233 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Furthermore South Africa will definitely have the home advantage, and if their batsmen can post a huge total then we’ll see Bangladesh crumble under pressure and eventually lose the match.

SA deserve  to lose test series to Bangladesh as there major players including Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada and Rassie van der Dussen prefer IPL over this test series. SA have a good home record against Asian teams but they lost ODI series to Bangladesh. Still SA board has no hesitation in releasing players for IPL over test series, if money is preference then you shouldn't he worry about such series results.

Proteas fielding their second string team in this series so may be Bangbros has some chance here, winning the test might be a tough task but there is a possibility of draw?
Shakib still missing from the test squad.  Huh
Bangladesh isn't playing with their full power as well. Their key players Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan aren't available for the first test match. Tamim isn't in the squad for his illness and Shakib isn't available for his family illness. I don't think Bangladesh team having the advantages in the match for the second string team of South Africa. Anyway, both Tamim and Shakib may join in the playing squad in the second test match.

On the South African pitch, did you think a team like Bangladesh would play well against them? Bangladesh is one of the most inexperienced teams in the Test format. Bangladesh is good enough in the ODI format and often they surprise us. But in the Test format they are very weak, lacking experience in both batting and bowling. Moreover, experienced players like Tamim and Shakib are not in the squad. Even if they were in the squad, Bangladesh will not win the Test match against South Africa.

It wasn't due to availability tho, Tamim Iqbal was not fit for the match (that's what i read from the team announcement). Shakib case is completely different. So Bongbandhus going with weaker batting lineup intentionally sounds bogus argument imo and i'm being respectful here.

Proteas has home advantage despite playing with second string team (They are not weak at home against Ban at all) but if i'm being honest then i want Bongs to win or at least draw the match or series.

If Shakib Al Hasan is in the team then i would say that Bangladesh have a chance to compete against South Africa. Before placing the bet i would have waited and see the team they are picking and just now noticed that they are not playing their premium bowlers and the bowlers right now in the team are unknown to me. I still think that South Africa will be able to win the match unless we otherwise from the Bangladesh batsman.
