I am shocked. What the heck is going on? Shami and Bumrah scored 90 runs between them and were not out until the end. Horrible bowling by England. Also, the Indian bowlers are dismantling the England batting line-up quickly.
Root is the only one that they can count on at this point. If he gets out, the chances of India winning will rise drastically. If not, it will probably end as a draw as I mentioned in my previous posts.

No comments whats so ever, i thought England could start chasing when they lost their 7 wicket for 194 and the tail end players were exposed and it looks like they are playing a much better game of cricket than the top order batsman and these are crucial runs and we are going to see another draw. Undoubtedly we are going to see a draw. England needs 272 runs to win. This is a very huge target for the fifth day. It is not possible for England to win. Interestingly, England has already lost their first wicket with just one run. They need to bat responsibly to draw the match.

Lol funny scene at the lords, before the game started, no one imagined that Indian tail would start batting like a pro...So far 58* runs partnership for the 9th wicket. English bowlers clearly looks frustrated and rightly so.

In the end, it was a disappointing result for Pakistan. The second test is scheduled for this week, and hopefully they could make a comeback.
Even thought it was disappointing for the Pakistan supporters the match itself was entertaining as the results could have gone either way till West Indies scored the winnings runs with the tail end players and one wicket in hand, it is one of those rare matches we see in cricket. It was a great comeback by Pakistan and 20 plus runs would have made a huge difference in the match and Pakistan would have won as it was that close.In the end, it was a disappointing result for Pakistan. The second test is scheduled for this week, and hopefully they could make a comeback.
India is also going in the same path as the only batsman in the crease when the final day started (Pant) is back in the pavilion and now it is a matter of time England bowls out the rest of the player and India is leading by 180 runs and they need 30 plus runs to be comfortable and think of defending.

Rarely we see test matches getting so close. When Jomel Warrican got out, West Indies were at 151/9, with 17 more runs needed. Two genuine tailenders were at the crease (Kemar Roach & Jayden Seales). Somehow, the Pakistani bowlers, who had performed exceptionally up to that point could not get one additional wicket. Jayden Seales survived for 13 balls, and that surprised me. In the end, it was a disappointing result for Pakistan. The second test is scheduled for this week, and hopefully they could make a comeback.

I thought it was a boring series and then when Pakistan started to come back in the match even though West Indies had only a small total to chase, it was an incredible resistance and performance by both the teams and West Indies was able to win the match in the end and gave everyone an interesting match

.I would say that the result once again re-affirmed the fact that Pakistan is a better team compared to West Indies, at least in the test format. West Indies were playing at home and still they could only win the match by the smallest of the margins. The last wicket partnership between Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales rescued them from the jaws of defeat. The Pakistan bowlers really bowled well, especially the pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali. This win means that now West Indies is on top of the WTC points table.

Another test match between India and England ... India already lead by 154 runs but they already lost their second innings 6 wickets collecting only 181 runs . But if India target 300+ runs in their second innings , the match could be drawn again.

Not productive to discuss hypothetical scenario but after looking at the 4th day pitch it does look like that Kohli failed to read the pitch and most importantly Indian batsmen, not complaining about today's batting performance but 1st inning's collapse on good batting wicket (2nd day) bothering me more.
I thought Ashwin was the front line spinner for India and i am not sure what would have happened if we was in the team but, if Ashwin was a spinner playing for any other country he would be in the team. There is too much competition but Jadeja is not known for his turn but his line and length but i feel Ashwin would have caused problems if the pitch is assisting than Jadeja. Kohli is struggling too but no one talking about him. Rahane and Pujara struggle with consistency is not new thing but Indian team should worry about Kohli's form more because he's our main batsman. In recent time our middle order averaging like 25-ish something, one of the worst in the world atm.

Kohli has been struggling in all formats in recent times and isn't recovering his form, but he shouldn't be compared with Rahane or Pujara since we all know what he is capable of and is a great test captain too.That said, I don't want to claim that the omission of Ashwin was a mistake. Ashwin is capable of taking those wickets(Just like Moeen) and scoring a lot more runs than Siraj which is why I believe that his omission was a mistake.

Moeen Ali took 2 wickets and even Joe Root got some movement so Ashwin could have been useful. Jaddu is good for restricting the batters but spin is not strong suit. I really hope he performs with the ball in the 4th inning.

It will be survival mode for India as thy are leading by just 154 runs and Ishant Sharma is in the crease and how many runs they can score from this position even though Rishabh Pant is still in the crease. Anything below 250 runs and England will go for the win as they have the players to chase these totals.India need minimum 50 more runs if they want to compete. Jadeja was the last man out. India has lost 6 of their wickets and now they are down to the tail, with Ishant Sharma giving company to Rishabh Pant. They are having a lead of 154. Extending it to 200 will not be impossible, but it is definitely going to be difficult as hell. Ishant is the only one who can add 10-20 runs. I don't have any hope for the other three (Shami, Bumrah and Siraj). That said, I don't want to claim that the omission of Ashwin was a mistake. Pakistan is leading by 124 runs. They lost 5 wickets and scored 160 runs in the second innings. Out of 5 wickets, two batsmen have been dismissed for zero runs. The good news for Pakistan is that Babar Azam is still at the crease. If Pakistan can collect another 100 runs, they are more likely to win. There is no continuity of performance of West Indies players. I don't think they will be able to collect more than 200 in the last innings.
You never know what could be another day bring to the cricket. A 50-80 runs partnership by the WI in their last innings could make the game turn in their favor. Pakistan should bat well thought out the day and try to make sure more and more runs on the board. Baber Azam should play his best here as it is required by the Pakistani team now. The captain is playing with Faheem Ashraf and both of them should add another 50 runs so Pakistani team come out of any panic situation.
Pakistan has given a target of only 168 runs. The West Indies players had plenty of time. If they could have stayed at the crease without losing wickets, they could have easily won the match. But they lost 3 wickets to collect only 16 runs and Pakistan bowlers are in form. I think Pakistan will win this match.
