If there is no rain interruption and then the Indian batsman is able to play a long inning and if that happens then this match is going to be another draw as India will not declare without putting a challenging total on the board which means over 300 runs. With this pitch i am not expecting the bowlers to dominate unless the batsman play silly shots and starts a parade back to the pavilion.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane needs to perform as they failed to make any meaningful contribution for a long time.

Root has really taken away this match from India single-handedly. Now I am looking at this match with England as favourites, On this pitch, batting on the last days will not be an easy task for India and England has a small yet good lead of 27 runs which means India needs to score at least 300 in a day tomorrow to give England at least a reputable total which would be difficult to chase, currently, England has become the favourites in this match or the second most probable result will be draw, It's difficult for India to take it from here unless they are able to bat extremely well.

He played like a one man army for England team. England team took a lead of 27 runs and their first innings has ended. Joe Root was unbeaten and scored 180 runs. Only two days left of this match. Perhaps we are going to see another draw match. On the other side, West Indies playing better than Pakistan. Windies team quickly lost their first two wickets but they fought back nicely. Now they are bowling perfectly in the second innings. Pakistan already lost four wickets. Maybe West Indies will in this game.

I feel like this match will end as a draw at this point unless the Indian batsmen collapse like dominoes. Anderson, Wood and Robinson are the bowlers to watch out for.

This is called a captain's knock! It has happened twice in two tests! At the moment, he is arguably the best test batsman, and he is going to score a double hundred this time around. ^^^ From 100 for 5 to 251 for 8 is good performance and it is solely because of Kraigg Brathwaite who was leading the team from the front but unfortunately missed a well deserved century but they are in a safe position and we will see a result in the match and it all depends how Pakistan is going to bat.

West Indies needs to find good talents in the Test format as well, they have a good T20 side but their longer format team is struggling for a long time.

You are underestimating England. Even though they lost 2 wickets, they bounced back well and lost a 3rd one after a moderate gap. Root is in fine form and is capable of scoring a century at the rate at which he is scoring.

They have several power hitters remaining due to which they could get close to India's first innings total in a short period in my opinion.

Joe Root is in very good form. He played well in two innings in the previous Test match. But other batsmen are not in very good form. They lack consistency. Moreover, the Indian bowlers are bowling quite well. England are still 245 runs behind India and they have lost 3 wickets.

West Indies will not be able to collect more than 20/30 runs. I was surprised that West Indies managed to score 251 runs. Brathwait played an innings needed for 97 runs which helped the West Indies to score so many runs. Other than Brathwait and Holder, the other batsmen on the team did not play well.

It looks as if England may avoid the follow on. But the main issue for England is that the weather is looking good, which will give enough time for the Indian pacers to bowl them out two times. They got a good start yesterday, but let's not forget that England is still trailing by 245 runs. And this is a series where England was supposed to win. Umm Vihari is just 27 yo and played only dozen matches. He's not favorite of anyone, he's in the team because of his domestic numbers which is pretty impressive, almost 55 average. I feel that they didn't tap his potential yet and use him as scapegoat every time, sometime even use and throw. When there is crisis in opening they send him at top order and when everything is calm then poor guy bat at the lower middle order, as low as number 7. He deserve long rope imo, may be prepare him for number 3 or keep him at number 5-6.

For Pujara and Rahane i wouldn't use "Drop" word but they need short break because sometimes these break works.

England still behind so as of now India is marginally ahead of England but this could change because Joe Root is still there, plus English has a strong tail (Sam Curran batting at number Cool

. Last time our bowlers wrapped their tail quickly. I'm excepting the same result one more time but there is always possibility of tail wagging.

England was able to restrict India for 364 and if not for James Anderson the situation would have been disastrous for England to make a comeback in the match. Joe Root is continuing his form from his last match and as long as he is in the crease they would score par to the Indian scorecard.
