Next week will be brutal, i've 17 players in both forum leagues that are either injured or on BYE. Needless to say, i can't afford to drop any games in Week 6, and it all starts with Jalen Hurts (who i prefer over Dak). The Buccaneers are missing a linebacker, Winfield Jr., and have the league's worst pass defense. Let me cherrypick a few stats:

Quez Watkins and DeVonta Smith are going to feast on that terrible Bucs secondary, i could see one of them (if not both) finish with 100+ yards and a TD.

Eagles over 0.5 FG; Eagles +14.5; Eagles O16.5 pts @1.88
Hurts 1+ pass TD; Gainwell 10+ rec yards; Watkins 30+ rec yards @1.85

@Hueristic, sorry for the trade request, i like Mitchell but it's Herbert szn, kid looks great and is likely to get 20+ carries vs GB.

I feel the same way. But "at the end of the day" the NFL can do whatever the f it wants, coming close to firing people for no reason at all, other than ratings could potentially be affected if they don't.

You're right about the Raiders continuously getting bum raps too. Even if Gruden was still there I don't think Carr is the wunderkind necessary to carry them to the playoffs (playoffs??). I was wondering if the line was gonna punish them this week but at +3 vs. the Broncos, I think that's pretty fair. Might end up taking the Broncs.

What do you guys think about tonight's matchup? Is today finally the day to bet against Tom Brady?

Ypu can find them on a ton a sportsbooks. I don't play the props so I don't know which ones but I know people play them a ton. And yeah Josh Allen is definately going to be up there. Brady gonna be fighting forvp too, 15 tds to 2 int in the first 5 games...and he still gets to play the giants

This is an interesting topic because "experts" seem to be all over the place when it comes to who they believe is the frontrunner for the MVP. I think Josh Allen is personally, but Brady, Murray, Herbert and to a lesser extent Stafford and Dak also have some claim to being in that conversation. One guy I am not putting on my list is Lamar Jackson. He's my qb in our btalk league, and I love how he's been playing, but this past game was the first game he threw for more than 1 TD. There are a couple QBs with twice as many as him. Sure they don't have the rushing yards he has, but still. There are some "experts" out there saying he is the unquestioned MVP frontrunner...couldn't disagree more.

Thing with Lamar is he is working with nothing. Had 3 top running backs out for the season so essentially is working with new backs mid season and he has completely taken over games like the last one. I agree he might not win it but he is on pace right now to throw for 5,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards which would be the first time in history. It's known they like to run so he won't get the glorious td marks that a Brady will get. He has to be top 5 right now no?

Just that statement by him was damning.

It is such a shame, it finally seemed as if the LV Raiders organization were going somewhere, they are second in their division and the Chiefs seem to be in a down year, this was their opportunity to make a run and then this happens, this is the kind of thing that can really affect a team and it will be interesting to see how they react to his hit, personally I have not being on top of the news and I kinda knew something was going on but I never thought it was this bad, but after seeing it there was no other way out of this than to quit.

Yeah this was definately their year. Looked good all the way around. Carr looks real good too. This is definately going to affect their year. Something like this just kinda hangs around like a bad habit. I hope they keep it together, will quietly be rooting for them.

I hope they do as well but they are in a difficult division and any single moment of hesitation can be incredibly costly, however the world of FF is ruthless, I had Carr but with what is happening now I do not trust he can get a good performance next game so I dropped him and the LV kicker and got Heinicke and Folk.

And BTW I was about to rage-drop Beckham but at the end I did not, he was part of the highest scoring game so far and yet he scored 2 points during the whole game, he was not a starter so it did not affected me but if he cannot score good points in a game like that then when is he going to do it?

There was a reason but it was not about Gruden (workplace harrassment complaint about WFT or something like that). If there was someone authorized to look through those e-mails - subpoenaed or whatever - it was probably their obligation to report any concerning materials they may have found.

Be that as it may, I would like to know the particulars because this stinks to high heaven on its face.

Poor raiders fans get fucked continuous, if they are going to use 10 year old emails to destroy an organization then they should be vetting every person in the league before hire. I think there is something going on we don't know about and Raiders fans are getting the shit end of the stick from the league as usual. The NFL has covered up shit for players and owners for its entire existence and suddenly it gets a conscience on this? I find that laughable. I think it comes down to Roger Goodell taking out an enemy. Wink

The league was looking into WFT for some unrelated reason and came across those e-mails. I don't see anything particularly suspicious about that, except maybe the leak to the media forced the owner's hand but it was just a matter of time anyway I think.

That explanation doesn't sound kocher to me. I doubt 10 year old emails would pop up on something like that unless it was for a reason. I'm not arguing whether he deserved to get canned only if this was being held back and released for a purpose.

Yeah I guess we can't be shocked over seeing Gruden resigning. And you know things were bad when he did as the Raiders owners absolutely LOVES Jon, as he begged him to come coach his team. I mean who gives a coach a 10 year contract these days. That's unheard of. I was listening to former player of Jon's Keyshawn Johnson who was ripping him saying none of this was any surprise as he's been fake his whole life. Found that interesting.

That's a whole bunch of money left on the table (I think like $60mil) people be stupid.

In other news I'm trending the wrong way in ff. Taking my lumps now. Need to take a look at next week and getting my team tightened up.
